Naruto 700 +2
We resume with Sasuke sensing an
attacker. He moves on, but immediately reacts as they try to strike from
behind. After catching the weight on the chain extending from the weapon, he
electrocutes them with Lightning Release.
Shockingly, the ninja is revealed to
have a Sharingan and disappears before Sasuke can get him.
Meanwhile, Sarada is approached by
Shizune. She asks the medical ninja about her past, suggesting that she might
not be Sakura’s daughter, especially since she has no medical records of her
birth in Konoha, implying she was born elsewhere. She even notes that Karin has
the same glasses as her.
Chouji, Karui and Chouchou are eating
at a restaurant and are approached by Sarada. She and Chouchou are talking at a
separate table, Chouchou confiding to Sarada that she thinks that she might not
be Chouji and Karui’s daughter.
They’re approached by Mitsuki, the
mysterious boy who was talking to Bolt last chapter, who comments that
Chouchou’s experience is not uncommon for young women who are having difficulty
figuring out their sense of self. Sarada notes that he’s from another village
as he leaves Chouchou with an assurance she’s from the Akimichi clan. Sarada
wonders if it’s the same for her.
Sasuke’s attacker approaches their
leader, who asks what they think of Sasuke. The Sharingan wielder notes he is
strong. The leader, seemingly the new head of the Akatsuki’s revived form,
regards Sasuke as an insult to the Uchiha for slaying Itachi.
Chouchou tells Sarada that she wants to
go on a journey to find her real parents, Sarada thinking this could be her
opportunity to find out about her father.
Meanwhile, Naruto receives a message
from Sasuke’s eagle, telling them about the Sharingan ninja he met. Naruto
contacts Kakashi, who tells him it’s likely related to Orochimaru.
Naruto leaves to find Sasuke, Shikamaru
trusted to handle the graduation exam while he’s gone, a Kage Bunshin left
behind for appearances.
The chapter ends as Sarada decides to
follow Naruto, Chouchou also tagging along to start her journey to find her
real parents.
Boku no Hero Academia 40
Endeavor is overjoyed to see Shouto
using his Fire side, saying he should now try to fulfill his goal as the son of
the #2 Hero.
Deku and Todoroki face off, both
resolved to give it their all.
Cementoss and Midnight start to
intervene, but Deku and Todoroki already have begun their attacks. Todoroki
thanks Deku as their strikes collide, clashing with amazing power and sending
shockwaves through the stadium, the only reduction to the power being Cementoss’
wall he created at the last minute.
As the smoke clears, we see that Izuku
is out of bounds, Todoroki the one to advance to the semi finals. Everyone wonders if Deku provoked Todoroki,
but they’re still impressed at his power nonetheless.
Afterwards, Todoroki and Endeavor meet,
the #2 Hero impressed at his son’s power, even if he also notes that he can’t
control the fire side well yet.
Todoroki says he won’t give up trying
to stand out, but he has to think about things for a while, since he didn’t
really care about his father, which wasn’t normally his motivation to be a
hero, now thinking about himself apart from his father.
Deku’s recovery will take a while,
since he’s got a crush fracture in his right hand, meaning they have to do
surgery before she can use her healing ability to enhance his own body’s
regenerative powers. Healing Girl thinks All Might just kept pushing Deku to
this, seeing it as dangerous and not praiseworthy at all.
Iida, Ochako, Minoru and Tsuyu come in,
Healing Girl telling them to stop being so loud because Deku needs to get to
surgery soon.
As she pushes them out, Deku tells All
Might he couldn’t help but want to talk to Todoroki and give him aid in some
way. If anything, Deku’s almost regretting what he did, but All Might says that
even if it was something that couldn’t avoided, doing what he did is very much
a heroic trait.
The chapter ends as we’re reminded that
Deku’s now out of the tournament, meaning that the final battle may now, as I
thought possible, Todoroki versus Bakugou, which will likely be impressive on
its own.
Seven Deadly Sins 124
Dreyfus and Hendricksen are bewildered
that such a hole seems to have not been created where Danafor lay by an
accident, like a meteor, but by someone who has power.
The two land at the floor of the pit,
Hendricksen bringing out an incantation orb to light their way after they hear
what sounds like a voice.
Dreyfus asks Hendricksen about his past
and his seeming fear of the dark, the Druid Knight noting that most aren’t like
the common image people have of them. There are those that view women as the
Apostles of the Goddess and the men as the priests. But Hendricksen was just a
normal Druid, appointed with keeping watch over corpses so evil spirits
wouldn’t take them over.
Eventually Hendricksen awakened his
Acid power and was exiled from the village, called a coward.
Dreyfus laughs, saying Hendricksen is
just kind and should aspire to be a Great Holy Knight like Zaratras.
Hendricksen thinks he’s not cut out for that, asking if Dreyfus desires to be a
Great Holy Knight, the half brother of Zaratras saying he used to. But now he
seeks to be the strongest who can protect the kingdom and make his son proud.
The two stumble across a demon that
offers them power, seemingly possessing a weakened body, almost liquefied or
falling apart.
The demon tries to take Dreyfus by
force, but Dreyfus’ Break power allows him to resist with his strong will.
Hendricksen is taken over, the demon then turning him on Dreyfus. Dreyfus
manages to twist the demon into taking over his body by threatening to kill the
demon if he kills Hendricksen.
After the two leave, we see Dreyfus has
indeed been taken over. Hendricksen explains he was under the influence of
Fraudrin, the demon in question, which was why he went along with the plan to
frame the Seven Deadly Sins for the murder of Zaratras, because they were as
much of a threat as Zaratras himself.
The chapter ends as Hendricksen reveals
that Fraudrin, who we already knew was a demon, was also the one who killed
Meliodas’ lover Liz and was the cause of him creating the hole in Danafor 16
years ago.
Magi 264
As Aladdin
begins to search for Alibaba with Solomon’s Wisdom, Titus wonders if he can do
it.
Aladdin seeks
out the Rukh from Belial when he was in Alma Torran. He stumbles across a
conversation between him and Ugo, Ugo warning him that he shouldn’t give his
Metal Vessel to a King who wants destruction. This is because Belial’s magic is
similar to that which Solomon used to seal away Ill Illah
Belial thinks
this is meant to counter Ill Illah, should they come back, but Ugo explains he
couldn’t perfectly imitate the magic. Instead of being Strength type, it’s
Life, able to affect the physical body, not the spirit, merely cutting it away
from the body.
Aladdin waits
to see the next question, Belial inquiring where that soul goes. Ugo says he
doesn’t know, since even Solomon wasn’t able to visit all the various spaces
that exist, such as the Great Rift where the Origin Dragon lived. Once
someone’s soul is thrown into the spaces between worlds, it is virtually lost
for good.
Aladdin
persists, trying to find some clue, anything to aid him, persisting for 5 days
straight. He even tries to trace Alibaba’s Rukh, but finds it has disappeared.
One of
Kouha’s magicians comments that the Rukh that remains is more like a natural
phenomena, meaning Alibaba’s body is like a shell and eventually it will stop
functioning.
The magicians
think that Aladdin could restrain the Rukh and bring him back through force,
but Aladdin says that would be against what Alibaba wants. There’s also the
possibility he could be used by Al Thamen for their schemes.
Olba demands
Aladdin do something, the Magi motionless, paralyzed with indecision.
The chapter
ends as Aladdin weeps, remembering all the good times he had with Alibaba,
seemingly out of options, despairing at the state he’s in, unable to help his
best friend.
World Trigger 101
We flashback
to Yuma, getting used to not being able to sleep, since his body’s made of
Trion and doesn’t suffer fatigue like a real one would. Replica tries to
encourage Yuma, saying he has more time to work than others.
Yuma
remembers that he and Yugo would review combat theories in times like this,
Replica volunteering to do so in his place, but only if Yuma wishes to, leaving
the choice in his hands as he has always done.
In the
present, Yuma tries to do a pinball maneuver with the Grasshopper Trigger, but
Murakami says Midorikawa was faster, slashing at Yuma, who narrowly dodges.
Osamu tells
Chika to get a visual on the bridge and support Yuma, since Kuruma and Taichi
aren’t using Bagworms anymore, so he can target them.
Meanwhile,
Kuruma and Taichi are barely able to dodge Nasu’s fire. They wonder if getting
more distance would help, but Kuruma notes they’ll only draw her closer to the
river, so she could target Murakami.
Instead, they plan to get closer, using buildings as cover to keep her occupied.
One of Nasu’s
attacks is slower than normal, Taichi pushing Kuruma out of the way and taking
the brunt of a Tomahawk attack.
Tachikawa
notes that this is the first time Nasu’s combined Meteor and Asteroid to create
the explosive Shooter Trigger. It’s less accurate, but it’s much more powerful.
Nasu has a
point now, Kuruma and Osamu keeping their distance.
Yuma and
Murakami’s match gets to the bridge, Yuma seemingly moving across it to get
support from Osamu and Chika.
Yuma
flashbacks to his strategizing with Replica. They consider that since Yuma
doesn’t have to sleep, they’ll think of strategies with the time Yuma doesn’t
spend sleeping to try to find one that surprises Murakami, with his sleep
learning Side Effect.
Yuma uses a
Grasshopper, the exact plan unknown. It turns out Yuma placed some under
Murakami, sending him into the air.
The
commentators think Yuma might be trying to push Murakami into the river, but he
can use his Thruster to save himself.
Chika fires a
shot, blasting anything Murakami could’ve used, causing both he and Yuma to
fall into the river.
Yuma takes
advantage of the situation, using his expertise in Scorpion to attack Murakami
from behind, taking out his Trion supply center so that the Suzunari squad ace
bails out.
Yuma got the
point, but he’ll be drawn out of bounds by the current.
The chapter
concludes as we see that Osamu, Chika and Kuruma are the last targets for Nasu
to get points
One Piece 785
Everyone
starts to cheer on Luffy as he beats up Doflamingo. Cavendish is astonished,
Law commenting that this is an impressive trump card, but he’s overusing his
Haki.
We see
Burgess seeking out Luffy, Koala confirming her theory that he was targeting
the Straw Hat captain.
Viola
confirms to King Riku that Luffy’s battle is the only one left to finish this
conflict.
Meanwhile,
Franky and the Tontatta are starting to escape the Smile factory. They run into
Zoro and Kinemon, who want to stop Birdcage or at least delay it.
Doflamingo
figures out that Luffy’s using Armament Haki to control the elasticity of his
rubber body. He compliments Luffy, but we see that Luffy knows there’s a limit
to Gear Fourth.
Doflamingo
then unleashes strings from the ground, even seemingly manipulating the
buildings as if they were string. He says there’s another level of Devil
Fruits, an Awakening of the power beyond its original form.
As people are
panicking, King Riku explains the situation through a Den Den Mushi that’s
connected across the country. He says that they cannot give up, since they’re
almost out of this situation, with Luffy ready to defeat Doflamingo.
With that
encouragement, people rush to escape the Birdcage’s threat, even a feeble
grandmother getting up and running after she was ready to give up.
Luffy is
surrounded by even more threads, like a giant wave of strings, but he manages
to push through them and strike Doflamingo with Gum Gum Leo Bazooka, the
chapter ending as Doflamingo is seemingly defeated after a difficult fight.
Bleach 625
Ichigo and
Grimmjow exchange words, Ichigo impressed Grimmjow didn’t die and Grimmjow
thinking he’s too strong to die anyway, since he still has to kill Ichigo as
his rival.
But before
Grimmjow can start fighting Ichigo, Neliel bursts in, revealing she’s able to
stay in her adult form with the help of a bracelet from Urahara, Orihime
seemingly a bit jealous.
Grimmjow
tells Neliel to get out of his way, but she says he should just leave if he’s
going to get in her way, also pulling rank on him, as she’s #3 (admittedly
before Aizen improved the Espada), while Grimmjow’s #6 (making me think they
might be relatively even in power)
But then
Riruka butts in with a loudspeaker, telling them to get their act together.
Yukio’s also there, creating the box they’re in which will seemingly be used to
teleport them to the Soul Palace.
Ichigo
demands to know about everything and why he was left out of the loop, Yoruichi
explaining that there wasn’t a good time (or she was just lazy).
We get a
refresher that Soul Society and the Human World are connected by the Dangai.
There are various spaces, called the Valley of Screams, scattered through the
space in between them, the Garganta. The Garganta makes reiatsu and reishi
unstable, but somehow the Valley of Screams can maintain those pockets of time
and space in spite of that.
Combining
Yukio’s ability to create a container and Riruka’s ability to insert anything
into an object she’s connected to, they made a tiny place that they can use as
a transfer point between places marked like the one where Grimmjow appeared.
Essentially, they can expend next to no reiatsu and get into the Spirit Palace,
or very close to it with the help of this application of the Fullbringer
abilities.
The chapter
ends as we see Juhabach’s Royal Guard sitting around, Uryuu told by Gerard that
Juhabach will soon gain control of the Soul King, Uryuu still seemingly
indicating he has his own plans as we see Juhabach’s form, still dark and black
by the Soul King’s power.
Toriko 322
The party
continues into the night, everyone tasting PAIR and even those “planets” at the
Birth Cry Tree fluttered down like falling stars.
It turns out
that Bambina met the capture conditions for PAIR just by kissing Zonge, all the
PAIR reacting to that because they’re the same “species” (Sani actually
questions this, since Zonge isn’t a Kintamandrill/Ballboon)
Kaka
qualifies that only Kintamandrills can just pick a PAIR from the Birth Cry Tree
with their high power level. Most other species have to eat each other, the
competition allowing them to pick PAIR from that cannibalism, though they also
have to have similar Gourmet Cell levels.
The Taste
Hermit’s spirit then begins to explain about the Blue Nitro’s goals and their
meeting with Acacia, which relates to the next ingredient, the fish dish,
ANOTHER.
We see the
fake Kaka from before manage to escape the power beam of Bambina. The Nitro
called PAIR notes that Bambina’s gotten stronger than before. Fake Kaka notes
that it was Bambina’s ancestors that took the source of PAIR from the earth,
drinking it nearly dry. Their resentment of the Eight Kings is strong, but PAIR
notes that they will eat them and it will be great, since they’re so strong.
The new
preparation and capture method for PAIR surprises them. Fake Kaka notes that
they heard voices from the Back Channel, which Komatsu also heard.
PAIR says
that they have to find the recipes and the three Taste Hermits (which they call
Treasonous Chefs) before the next Solar Eclipse, which will be the last, since
Acacia, seemingly still alive somehow, is waiting for it as well.
Brunch meets
Midora, trying to figure out if he asked Toriko to bring him Acacia’s Full
Course.
We flashback
to Midora meeting Toriko a year and a half ago. Ichiryuu’s killer lets Komatsu
go, commenting on how strong Toriko’s appetite is. Toriko demands to know why
he killed Ichiryuu, Midora noting that it was fate. He has a goal in the past,
by gathering Acacia’s Full Course, he can see something he couldn’t before.
Toriko says
he’ll handle the future if Midora seeks the past. He says he’ll bring the Full
Course items, one at a time, to Midora and then after they bring them all to
Human World, they’ll have a feast together.
Brunch
wonders why Toriko wants to give Acacia’s Full Course items to Midora. He
demands to know if the other chefs are safe, Starjun saying he doesn’t need to
worry, explaining who Brunch is briefly to Midora.
Midora
comments that Toriko may be great as a Gourmet Hunter, but even he will need
the help of great Chefs for Acacia’s Full Course, especially ANOTHER.
Kaka starts
to explain the Blue Nitro’s goal, the chapter ending as she says that the next
Solar Eclipse will fully ripen the earth and it will collapse, signaling an end
to the planet.
Fairy Tail 431-432
Natsu and
Gray start the chapter off by blowing away even more of Avatar’s members. We
also see Lucy’s power in her Taurus form, causing a shockwave with the strike
of her whip. Gray saves her as she’s still a bit overconfident in her
abilities.
Jerome tells Briar
and Mary to confront Gray, Natsu and Lucy, while he’ll focus on Erza.
We see Erza
unveil another armor, swords appearing like feathers on her back and quickly
slashing away everyone.
Jerome
appears, clashing with her. His sword reveals it can destroy her armors with
each strike it makes, rendering Erza unable to fight back.
But she
reveals a sword that can strike without making contact, knocking Jerome away.
The chapter
ends as she asks if anyone else wants to challenge her.
We start the
next chapter (there’s going to be double chapters for at least 2 more weeks
from Fairy Tail) with Gray fighting Briar, who demands to know why he betrayed
them. Gray responds he never had anything in common with them. Briars asks if
his obsession with the Book of END was also a lie.
Gray says
that is actually true, but he notes he won’t use their methods, since it would
insult his father’s memory.
Lucy comes
down with a stomachache, as does Taurus. Mary reveals her magic is Virus, able
to infect the body with various ills, this particular one affecting the bowels.
As Lucy moves
to stand up, Mary threatens to affect her brain.
But Wendy
appears, using her magic to nullify the enchantment. Lucy then takes the
opportunity to smash Mary in the gut, knocking her out.
Back with
Gray and Briar, she reveals her Clone Magic, each clone having a different
aspect of her personality. One of them even notes she loved Gray a bit.
Suddenly,
Juvia appears, defeating Briar with Water Claw, Gray following up by defeating
the other clones.
Wendy joins
in with Sky Dragon’s Tornado as Gray and Juvia also get ready to fight
seriously. Lucy is amazed at Wendy’s use of Dragon Force, the two having
trained over these years.
Everyone
continues to decimate the forces, Avatar’s grunts wondering if they can even
win.
Natsu says
they’ll never give up, because they’re Fairy Tail mages.
The chapter
ends as Arlock says this is all going as prophesied, leaving us with a threat
that when the earth trembles before Ikutsunagi, the purification will begin.
