Seems like Magi’s raws took longer
than usual, so we’ll be skipping that this week.
Boku no Hero Academia 27
Deku is intimidated by the glares of
people seeking him out at the top for the 10 million points he’s worth in the
next round, starting to feel the pressure of inheriting All Might’s power and
his position as the strongest hero.
We get an explanation of the rules
for the Human Cavalry: the headband’s value is based on the combined point
totals of all members. A group isn’t out if their headband is stolen, so they
can still try to grab as many headbands as possible, since there will be an
average of 10-12 groups in total. The goal is to get as many headbands in the
15 minutes allotted and they have 15 minutes to decide their groups before
things get started (Deku wants to team up with Uraraka and Iida, most likely).
We see a discussion by pro heroes
about the value of each trial: the first demonstrating that sometimes you have
to be ruthless in pushing others aside to advance your own status, but the
second more about cooperation and understanding the value of teamwork in spite
of the competitive nature of the hero business.
Bakugou and Todoroki are sought out
for their fairly high point values, Bakugou a bit less friendly and also not
familiar with most of his classmates’ Quirks.
Deku is approached by Uraraka, who
says she’s fine with teaming up, since she’s good friends with Deku. He asks
Iida if he wants to join, already creating a plan with their Quirks having good
synergy.
But Iida refuses, saying he has to
compete with Deku to improve himself, not satisfied with being a sidekick. He’s
seemingly joined up with Todoroki, Deku realizing even friends can become
enemies in this competition.
They’re approached by Mei of the
Support Department, who we saw use some of her inventions in the first round.
She says Deku stands out and she has lots of equipment, something likely very
compatible with Deku and Uraraka’s Quirks. They need to find one more, Deku
picking someone unknown to us, as they’re off panel.
The competition begins as the
chapter concludes, 13 warhorses gathered. The 4th member of Deku’s group is
Tokoyami, introduced a few chapters ago, who has the Dark Shadow Quirk which
manifests as a shadow he can manipulate.
Hi Fi Cluster 17
It turns out the truck and weapons
nearby exploded, Heckt and Ekusa relatively unscathed.
Kandera saves Ichiro, injured in the
explosion, from a falling pillar, Ichiro wondering why he did it. Kandera
responds the same as when he saved Shanon, that no matter who you are, it’s
over if you’re dead and everyone deserves a chance to redeem themselves. Ichiro
was his friend, so he couldn’t help but save him.
Peta and the Nobel Hi Fi Loader are
safe, Miri giving Peta a Hi Fi to put on the girl.
Peta thinks to himself if he’d met
Landscape Mole instead of the girl, he might be in her situation and vice
versa.
We see Landscape Mole, injured from
a stray shot of a police officer. Kandera moves to capture him, but he’s
attacked, his artificial arm shattered. As Landscape Mole thinks he can still
accomplish more, Kandera punches him with his other arm.
Landscape Mole thinks he can still
fight, but he realizes that Kandera’s Hi Fi wasn’t on and that he wasn’t a Hi
Fi Loader beyond his prosthetic arm, which was destroyed in their fight.
Kandera says that it doesn’t matter
how he gets an ability if he uses it to stop people like Landscape Mole. The
boy is interested, thinking he might sit back and watch more.
The police move in to capture him,
but Landscape Mole disappears. The incident isn’t covered by the media, Ichiro
apprehended and the girl taken into custody. Peta thinks something might happen
as the chapter ends.
World Trigger 89
Reiji takes Yuma to defense duty and
Chika home in a flashback as Osamu continues to research for their Rank War
battle against Arafune and Suwa squad, thinking that they have so much info,
but Arafune and Suwa don’t know much about them, which is a slight advantage.
We resume the Rank War in progress,
Chika splitting off from Osamu and Yuma to maintain a good sniping position,
while Osamu and Yuma go to get points.
Suwa’s closing in on Arafune,
Tamakoma having drawn the snipers in with their cluster formation to distract
them.
Hanzaki makes a shot on Suwa. But he
had a precise Shield Trigger on his head to block the attack.
Another Arafune squad member takes
out Suwa’s leg, confirming their positions to the other Suwa squad members as a
necessary sacrifice.
Arafune Squad’s Operator warns them
of someone coming up, initially thought to be one of Suwa squad, but it’s
actually Yuma. He makes a good attack, but misses the vitals, one of Suwa’s
members taking him out, the major weakness of a Sniper revealed: when they’re
in range, they’re almost helpless.
Suwa Squad gets the first points,
Tsutsumi trying to take out Yuma, who dodges the shots. Suddenly, the Suwa
agent is taken out by a shot seemingly teleported in from elsewhere.
But it was actually Yuma using the
Grasshopper Trigger, bouncing off it and cutting Tsutsumi in half. He was
taught that by Midorikawa in training at some point.
Yuma and Osamu move to take out
Hokari, but they’re almost struck by a sword blow as it’s revealed Arafune, the
leader of the squad, used to be an Attacker, considered an Action Sniper.
The chapter ends as Arafune is
seemingly setting up Yuma to be taken out by engaging him in direct combat.
Seven Deadly Sins 111
King asks
Jericho why she’s still in the Fairy Forest, not many humans welcome. Jericho
retorts that King isn’t very welcome himself, saying that she’ll follow Ban
anywhere.
King
inquires as to what Jericho thinks is attractive about Ban. She tries to say
she doesn’t love him, King saying the Fox’s Sin doesn’t really have any
interest in her, not unlike with King loving Diane, but Diane loving Meliodas
in the fairy king’s mind.
The Holy
Knight responds that she’ll just have to persist and show that she’s more
interesting than Elaine was. Ban appears behind her, saying there’s no way and
telling the knight to take her clothes off, which King thinks just makes her
more attracted to him in a twisted way.
Ban
explains that once he’s finished preparing, he’s leaving the forest. King
wonders if he’s going back to the Boar’s Hat, Ban responding he’s going to
search for a way to revive Elaine.
Jericho
demands to come with him, still owing him for saving her life before. King
suggests they consult Merlin, Ban saying he has no intention of returning to
the Seven Deadly Sins.
King tries
to convince him that Meliodas isn’t mad at him, Ban saying that’s exactly why
he’s doing this.
Ban also
tells King that if he has time to worry about him, he should go back to Diane,
saying she still loves him. King thinks it’s a joke, but Ban says he’s not
lying.
We
flashback to the morning before the festival, where Ban tells King that
Meliodas wanted him to get the food and drinks. Diane bursts out of the bar,
wanting to go with King, but he says it’d be boring.
As Ban
goes back to sleep, he hears Diane say that every time he goes away, she gets
so lonely, it’s like she could die.
King
wonders if Diane got her memory back, Ban telling him to go back.
Back at
Liones, Gowther takes a pill from Merlin that’s supposed to help with his
armor.
Diane
bursts in, wanting Merlin to help her find King, since she hasn’t seen him
since yesterday. She assures the giantess that he’ll pop up when she least
expects it. She also says they have some
important preparations to start on.
As Gowther
leaves, he spits out the pill and throws the container given to him, meeting up
with Meliodas, who has some business with Merlin as well. He reminds him that
they’re leaving for Camelot in a day.
Gowther
asks if that’s an order, Meliodas saying not exactly. The Sin of Lust refuses,
saying he just doesn’t feel like it.
Gowther
meets up with Guila, the two leaving as Meliodas is confused at their being
together.
Elizabeth
sees Meliodas, Diane confused as she runs away, following her.
Meliodas
talks to Merlin, asking for what she took from him ten years ago. She asks if
it concerns what happened yesterday, Meliodas saying that the possibility of
Hendricksen being alive isn’t as pressing as the demons revived, the Ten
Commandments. He describes them as the top generals under the Demon King
himself.
Merlin is
especially excited, her magic going out of control for a bit, calming herself
and starting to help Meliodas.
The
chapter ends as Zeal appears before Guila and Gowther being all lovey-dovey,
asking to talk to his sister. Gowther says he can talk to him instead,
seemingly preparing to use his Invasion power to manipulate his memories, the
evil hints much stronger now for this character.
One Piece 774
Robin asks
Diamante if this is really fair, the executive responding that he never
intended to play fair from the beginning, wanting to just execute them. Robin
assures Kyros she’ll protect Rebecca
Bartolomeo
is confused at Gladius’ men taking him away, saying that their duty is to take
him away.
The
Tontatta group at the Smile factory is concerned about their princess. Viola
contacts Leo, who says he’s on his way, but she tells him he needs to hurry,
since Jora is making the princess use her Heal Heal Fruit power.
Leo and
his group rush to help Manshelly, who’s being pressed by Jora to revive the
executives they’ve recovered so they can turn the tide of battle in their
favor. But the princess says she’s realized that Doflamingo is a bad person,
Jora saying she can’t do anything against them, starting to twist her and make
her cry. Her tears revive a random goon, Jora surprised at this revelation,
further abusing Manshelly to make her cry more.
Viola
explains the situation to Leo, who makes it to where the princess is. Jora is
dropping tears on the executives, but Kabu manages to push them out of the way,
the tears dropping harmlessly.
Leo then
stitches all the executives to Jora with his Devil Fruit and then has them all
fall on her, defeating the Art Art Fruit user.
The
chapter ends as Leo rescues the princess, who seems to have a temper, punching
Leo when he says she’s gotten heavier.
Bleach 612
We get a
brief recap, Juhabach saying he will destroy the Soul King, who he calls an
imperfect god. He thinks the Soul King may have foreseen this, but it doesn’t
matter, slaying the person he calls his father.
Renji and
Rukia meet up with Shinji and Oomaeda, Shinji saying his wounds weren’t much.
But Oomaeda makes a bigger deal out of it, saying that they shouldn’t insult
Shinji by saying he’s the reason they got injuries at all.
Renji
wonders why Oomaeda brought his sister along, Oomaeda responding that she’s
asleep. Soifon tells him to be quiet, since he’s the loudest of the group,
thanking Hinamori for healing them before.
Renji asks
if everyone’s here, Shinji saying they still all have to get there, since they
got a message (presumably from Kisuke) to meet at this location. They meet up
with Kisuke, Byakuya and the others, Soifon doting over Yoruichi’s brother
Yuushirou, giving him some spending money like she’s his aunt.
Shinji
asks Kisuke where everyone else is, since only Byakuya’s arrived, besides
Nanao.
Kisuke
explains that 7th division has their own mission, so they won’t be joining the
group. Byakuya was told by Mayuri that 3rd and 9th division’s captains will be
coming with the 12th division. Kenpachi, Shuuhei, Madarame and Yumichika are
all recovering, Kenpachi the worst off of them. The one group that they don’t
know the status of is 10th division’s captain and vice captain (implying
Hitsugaya and Rangiku could be dead, though they may not know of Hitsugaya’s
zombification)
Shinji
asks if they plan to find the others, but Kisuke says they’re going to the Soul
Palace with the help of the pedestal Mayuri made and the items Yuushirou
brought.
The
chapter ends as we see Ichigo’s group heading to the Soul King’s palace,
Ichibei saying that they cannot beat Juhabach, leaving us with strong tension
as to their safety.
Toriko 309
We start
with an explanation of what happens when Bambina sleeps, jumping into the
stratosphere with a jump that launches him in a mere second over 50 kilometers
into the air. He then takes a nap in the border of earth’s atmosphere, his face
calm and happy as he likely dreams of his lover.
Toriko’s
group is still confused about the ring, Kaka thinking it means something. But
then Bambina crashes down from the air, still asleep. He wakes as the group
shouts out in shock, sitting up and preparing to move, the drop of drool
signifying the start of a slowdown.
As Bambina
moves to face Zebra, the Gourmet Hunter manages to dodge the pointing finger,
Coco doing the same with Bambina’s attack on the back of his knees, simply
falling on his back. As Toriko begins to arm wrestle, unleashing his Gourmet
Cell Demon, Sani catches the King, noting they were still playing Hide
and Seek.
Toriko
apologizes for before, saying they can be good playmates for him now. But the
chapter ends as we see seemingly every monkey on Area 7 congregating together,
Kaka saying that they intend to see a true match between Bambina and the Four
Kings.
Fairy Tail 416
Lucy tells us it’s been a week since their fight
with Tartaros, still recovering. The guild isn’t sure they want to rebuild,
Makarov thinking this might be the end of Fairy Tail.
Laxus wakes up after his recovery, embracing
Evergreen and Bixlow, sad that he couldn’t protect them better (likely
referring to when they fought Tempesta and the anti magic particles were
released).
Wendy, meanwhile, has her hair lengthened by Cancer
(who apparently can do that as well as the reverse), Cancer asking Lucy if she
wants adjustments as well.
Pantherlily and Charle talk about how Wendy and the
others, such as Gajille, are still adjusting in their own way to their losses:
the Dragon Slayers of their Dragons, Lucy of Aquarius and Gray of his father.
Happy and Natsu are fairly stable, more worried
about their financial situation and thinking things will work out somehow.
Meanwhile, Gray is still at his father’s gravesite.
Juvia appears, telling Gray she killed Keith, indirectly dooming Silver to
death. She thinks she can no longer love Gray, but he thanks her, breaking down
and crying as he embraces her.
Erza thinks to herself that she can’t trust people
anymore, but Jellal appears, saying she’s the best person to trust others,
having seen their best and worst over the years.
He thinks that Crime Sorciere, on the other hand, is
not unlike a dark guild, now including the ranks of the surviving Oracion Seis.
He hopes Erza can shine enough to dispel their darkness as they fight Zeref
from the shadows.
Doranbolt meets with Makarov, saying he won’t erase
his own memories, though he’s done so for everyone else (presumably their
knowledge of the Demons?). Makarov says it’s fine, revealing a Fairy Tail crest
on Doranbolt’s shoulder. He says the Magic Council member was originally a
member and altered his own memories to be a spy in the organization that was
suspicious of Fairy Tail.
He tells Doranbolt that everyone else has made their
choice and decided their paths; Makarov concluding he has no choice but to
disband Fairy Tail as a guild.
Lucy goes back to her house, finding a letter from
Natsu, saying he and Happy are going to go train. She’s somewhat sad, though it
feels like she knows he’ll return.
The chapter ends with everyone resolved to meet
their goals: Gray to destroy END, Natsu to get stronger and the others on their
own missions. But we also have it
revealed by Zeref that Natsu is END, the acronym standing for Etherias Natsu
Dragneel.
