Seven Deadly Sins 92

Hendricksen tries to psyche out the Sins by saying they’re abandoning the capital to the New Generation Holy Knights transformed into demons just to fight him. But Meliodas gives him a reality check by telling him to check again, Hendricksen realizing that all the demon powers have disappeared, only the Holy Knights remaining, all prepared to stop him.

But the druid turned demon thinks this just makes things more interesting. He reattaches his severed arm, saying they can’t defeat him. But Meliodas quickly slices off the arm again, the demon knight reattaching it. Meliodas then slashes his torso three times, leaving large gashes, which also heal immediately.

Meliodas pulls back, Hendricksen going after him. But King slams all the blades of Chastiefol’s flying dagger form into Hendricksen, saying that he has to die 4 times to appease King’s sense of justice for Helbram. Hendricksen forcefully pushes the blades out of his body by sheer force, saying he’s invincible now.

Diane doesn’t care, using her Creation power to manipulate two arms of earth to smash him. Hendricksen tries to resist, but finds his strength leaving him. Meliodas explains that even though the demon power can heal damage, the energy expended is still finite and the fatigue from the damage doesn’t go away, so he’s wasted his abilities like a novice. Meliodas and Diane use a combined attack to deal even greater damage.

Gowther explains the situation to Ban, who’s confused at Hendricksen gaining demon powers, Hendricksen knocking Ban into a wall. After recovering, Ban asks where the knight got the demon corpse, pushing him with a barrage of brutal blows, likely remembering the demon that killed Elaine years ago.

The result of all the damage is the revelation of the demon’s remains, Hendricksen smiling in self satisfaction as the chapter ends.

Magi 238

Everyone in the new world is shocked at the revelation of events or otherwise processing it. Alibaba in particular feels regret that he knew virtually nothing about Aladdin. He feels some kinship with the Magi, but realizes that he has far more responsibility on his shoulders than Alibaba.

Morgiana and Alibaba run up to Aladdin after he concludes the story, saying they wish to fight alongside him with new purpose after learning their friend’s past.

Sinbad looks different, seemingly inspired by Solomon’s choices and Aladdin’s destiny in all this.

Aladdin asks the kings and their households to focus on this world and whether they intend to protect it or destroy it as the inhabitants of Alma Toran did in their ignorance.  He demands that the three major countries sign a ceasefire treaty: or at the very least stop their conflicts temporarily in order to defeat Al Thamen, which poses a real threat to the world as it did in Alma Toran.

The chapter ends as people say they should take more time, but the household members closest to the three representatives sense that they’ve already made their decision as to whether to accept Aladdin’s terms

World Trigger 74

Kyosuke prepares to fight, shifting to Blade Mode and initiating the Geist part of his Trigger. His body sprouts spikes and he initiates a countdown of 200 seconds, roughly 3 and 1/ 2 minutes, until a forced Bail Out. Kysouke tells Yosuke to get the cubified agents and protect them, Yosuke agreeing once Kyosuke Bails Out.

We see a flashback of Kyosuke asking Jin about the future, who explains that Reiji allowed he and Konami to escape because Jin knows they won’t be able to affect Chika and Osamu’s future. But he says Kyosuke should still try to protect as many as he can, which encourages him to go all out.

Hyrein notes that Kyosuke’s Trigger technique, flowing Trion into his body and using it as a weapon, is not unlike Aftokrator’s technology, but without a horn, it’s unstable and he’ll self destruct eventually.

Yosuke, meanwhile, starts to throw chunks of the road at Hyrein to distract him. Kyosuke tries a sneak attack from behind and seems to make contact, but Hyrein protects himself with Trion bees under his cloak, breaking Kyosuke’s sword. He counterattacks, but Kyosuke manages to dodge, switching his focus to speed instead of attack.

Mira appears, telling Hyrein that the “Golden Goose” will be arriving soon, Kyosuke and Yosuke figuring out that the Neighbors knew where they were all along and were just stalling them until they could pinpoint the location with Neighbor technology (the shard in Osamu serving as a tracker, most likely)

Hyrein and Mira leave, Hyrein attacking Kyosuke from behind with fish bullets sent through one of Mira’s portals, Kyosuke Bailing Out.

The chapter ends as Osamu and Replica move closer to Border HQ, only about 120 meters. But they’ve run into Hyrein and Jin notices that something Kyosuke did changed the future, the final panel telling us there’s a little over 6 minutes left till the future crossroads, meaning the time limit Kyosuke had actually fits with the time progression overall.

One Piece 760

Koala is griping to Sabo about not sticking to their plan and instead fighting with Fujitora, Sabo remembering that Fujitora seems to be less than entirely loyal to the World Government.

Meanwhile, Usopp asks why the people that were seemingly trying to capture them didn’t do so, the people apologizing and uncertain of what to do after figuring out the truth. They ask King Riku what to do, Riku saying they should just wait. Fujitora appears, saying he’s betting on Luffy as well.

Back at Luffy and Law’s fight with Doflamingo and Trebol, Law tells Luffy they can’t rely on that tactic again. Trebol says he can beat Law, but he finds he can’t pull himself together. Law explains that the Radio Knife cut makes it so that even someone like a Logia (theoretically) can’t pull themselves together, at least temporarily.

Law then pinpoints and attacks Trebol with Injection Shot, but Doflamingo blocks it. Law tries to attack again, but Doflamingo uses Full Bright, stabbing strings from above into Law.

Luffy moves to attack Doflamingo, but even using Armament Haki doesn’t work, Doflamingo using it as well and pushing Luffy back, binding him with strings. He throws Luffy at Bellamy, still being controlled, who slashes Luffy with a sword.

Doflamingo tells Law he hates being underestimated more than anything. He further explains that being a World Noble gave him a special status. But his father decided they should stop acting like they’re better than everyone else, which infuriated Doflamingo. He says that because of his foolish father, he saw the best and worst of the world and vowed to destroy it all. The chapter ends as he says a man who has experienced what he has is above playing the childish games Luffy and Law participate in as pirates.

Naruto 692

We see the Edo Tensei Kage disappearing, all of the Hokage entrusting the future to the new generation, believing they’ll change things for the better.

A tree start to grow in the general area (possibly from chakra related to Hashirama?), but meanwhile, the Bijuu are speaking about what they’ll do now that they’re free. Hagoromo tells Kurama that he’ll be the source for the Bijuu to discuss things through the chakra they all have a piece of in Naruto, meaning Naruto will remain a Jinchuuriki.

Hagoromo asks Naruto if his decision has changed, Naruto saying that he thinks his mother was a good person, unlike Kaguya, who he says seemed like she didn’t have a heart. Hagoromo notes that the chakra fruit’s power may have corrupted Kaguya, that much potential all in one person too much for someone to not abuse.

Now all that’s left is to free everyone from the Infinite Tsukuyomi, which will simply take the Bijuu chakra in Naruto and Sasuke’s Rinnegan. Sasuke agrees, but he demands to kill the 5 present Kage in the Infinite Tsukuyomi, shocking everyone. He then says he’ll also be placing the Bijuu under his control, quickly glancing at them and putting them under a genjutsu.

Hagoromo says he has to leave this to Naruto, as he’ll be disappearing soon. Naruto says he’ll make sure they don’t end up like Ashura and Indra.

Kakashi and Sakura ask if Sasuke still desires revenge, but Sasuke instead says that he wants to reform the entire shinobi world and he has to start by culling what is unnecessary or otherwise unneeded through revolution. He then starts Chibaku Tensei, sealing the Bijuu into spheres of earth, raising them into the air.

The chapter ends as Sasuke says he’s almost mastered his new Rinnegan and only Naruto stands in his way, Naruto saying he will end this feud without death.

Naruto will be on break next week.

 Toriko 292

The party celebrating AIR’s preparation and Toriko adding it to his Full Course continued on into the night, but we see the hint of danger on the horizon from what seems to be NEO.

Brunch has prepared heated dishes with AIR as the base, like steak or stir fry. Everyone’s just excited at the potential AIR has, since people haven’t had it en masse for generations.’

Coco observes what we saw with Toriko last chapter: AIR’s sheer oxygen content enhances all the functions of the body to incredible levels temporarily, even apparently allowing you to not breathe for hours on the amount of air you get from eating it.

Coco’s arm changes to the appearance of his Appetite Devil, the Gourmet Cells reacting strongly. Zebra says it means they’re likely becoming more in control of their Appetite Devils, though only one arm at this point for the Heavenly Kings.

Daruma Hermit explains that the possession of Appetite Devils, manifesting Gourmet Cells and Appetite Energy, is a rarity today. The ancestors of the inhabitants of Hex Food World were originally humans, only a few able to control their Appetite Devils, the others managing only not to be killed, but their forms changed irrevocably.

They were enslaved by the Nitro through the Four Beast, the Nitro then injecting Gourmet Cells into the humans for some unknown reason. It could be to make stronger slaves, to make more potent fertilizer for ingredients, or just to make the humans taste better as food.

He then explains that there are 2 ways to acquire gourmet cells: through a slow process of acclimating to Gourmet Cells in food you eat and through direct injection. The former has the possibility of failing to take hold and takes longer, while the latter can fail and kill you, or at the least mutate you, but it instantaneous.

The Eight Kings eventually made it so the Blue Nitro wouldn’t touch the specific areas they guarded and their people. But this confuses the Daruma Hermit more, since he thought the Blue Nitro would come when they were trying to prepare AIR

The people of Hex Food World thank them, but suddenly faint as we see Teppei, still under Joa’s control, appears and seemingly rips out Komatsu’s heart and crush it as the chapter ends on Toriko’s rage at Komatsu being hurt.

Bleach 596

Byakuya is confused at Kensei and Rose appearing, Shuuhei trying to attack Kensei. But his superior punches him, stunning him enough to slam him into the ground, knocking him unconscious. Kensei gives Byakuya his zanpakutou back, Mayuri appearing and saying that this turn of events will make for good results of his experiments.

Byakuya demands to know what he did, Mayuri saying he saved them, so Byakuya should be grateful.

We see through flashback that the Arrancar, while not necessarily strong enough to beat Kensei and Rose, were able to affect them like Hitsugaya in that all of them were sprayed with some blood of the Arrancar they were fighting, which had the drug that Mayuri spoke of that made them “go to the past” and eventually paralyze them with the side effects. He then administers the same drug to Kensei and Rose that he gave to Hitsugaya.

Mayuri then proceeds to give his hypothesis of how Giselle’s power works: the amount of blood required varies on the reiatsu level: lower levels require far less, while someone of captain caliber or so has to have the blood directly diffused through the heart, which is why they have what is described as a reddish-black hue to their skin.

He explains that the drug he injected into the zombified captains changes the composition of their blood. Having samples of virtually everyone in Seireitei, he used those as a base and then created the drug. Essentially, it makes Giselle’s zombies into his zombies, the drug altering the blood so that he can apparently control them. We see Giselle killed by Kensei as the scene shifts.

Byakuya says he should’ve just killed them mercifully, but Mayuri ignores him, saying they’ll have to agree to disagree, since he thinks that people would leap at the opportunity to fight for Seireitei even after they’re dead (or near death).

Pepe tries to control Kensei with his Love Kiss, but Kensei punches him in the face (not unlike last chapter with his kick to the face). Mayuri explains that they don’t function like Giselle’s zombies, that they don’t know love. Pepe is pummeled mercilessly and knocked into a building.

He manages to get up, but Liltotto appears before him as the chapter ends, implying she’s going to finish him off.

Fairy Tail 399

The chapter starts by saying there are 32 minutes left until Face activates (taking the tension away that existed last chapter when the translation apparently said a few moments until explosion) Erza and Kyouka clash, Kyouka saying it’s too late, but Erza fighting in spite of that. Kyouka throws some pillars at Erza and instead of cutting them, she jumps through them with acrobatics and kicks Kyouka in the face.

Mira wakes up, Frosch and the others wondering how Mira got here. She explains that after Lucy stopped Alegria, a mass of clones of Lamy, the scientist of Tartaros appear, Elfman and Lisanna knocking them away and telling Mira to go after Sayla.

Kyouka notes her respect of Erza’s power, not unlike the demons of Tartaros. But out of nowhere, we hear an ominous sound that stuns everyone.

Wendy, Charle and Doranbolt have teleported away from the Tartaros guild as it crashed into the ground after Lucy stopped Alegria. Wendy’s worried about the others, but suddenly collapses, having a strange reaction to the ominous sound everyone’s hearing.

Gajeel’s group is discussing where Gray is, the Iron Dragon Slayer giving what remains of Tempesta to Levy to take to Porylusca to make an antidote for Laxus and the others.

Natsu asks if Gajeel can hear the odd noise, seemingly familiar with it. Even Marde Guile is astounded at whatever it is appearing at this point, the voice something related to Dragons, most likely.

Marde Guile wonders why it came, and Natsu says it’s clearly Acnologia, the dragon appearing in a two page spread.

The chapter ends as we see Igneel, who’s noticed the presence of all these evils and thinks it might be time for him to take action.
