Seven Deadly Sins 93
Everyone has varying reactions to
the demon, though they all are aware of the infamy associated with it and the
power it gave the New Generation Holy Knights.
Hendricksen explains that it was 20
years ago that they found the Red Demon’s corpse in the Fairy Forest’s burnt
landscape. Not only did it give them the source for experimenting with the Holy
Knights to give powers, but also deciphering dark magic. The power of the Red
Demon manages to damage some of the Sins (Meliodas and Gowther dodge), but Ban
ignores the tentacle that impaled him, saying that Hendricksen can’t beat him
with that power.
He then punches Hendricksen again,
saying he beat the Red Demon 20 years ago, so Hendricksen’s nothing to him. Ban
smashes Hendricksen into the ground with even greater force, creating a huge
hole.
Gowther notes there’s something
below ground through the passage, everyone but Diane going down to investigate.
King illuminates the place with Chastiefol’s 7th form.
We see Hendricksen, who thanks Ban
for providing him with the Red Demon in the first place. He needed a stronger
body and no human could resist the blood of another demon he has, but with his
body gaining the power of the Red Demon, he thinks he’ll be strong enough to
resist the rebound of power from this Gray Demon.
They only found it a few years ago,
but they have determined it’s far stronger than the Red Demon. Hendricksen
injects himself with some blood from it and undergoes a new transformation,
glowing. Ban tries to attack, but Hendricksen seemingly blows off half of Ban’s
body (still not technically killing him, I think)
The new form the druid takes looks
far more like a demon, the chapter ending as Meliodas says that’s not
Hendricksen anymore, as if his personality has disappeared.
Magi 239
We continue with the reminder of
Aladdin’s insistence on peace treaty negotiations. Aladdin explains that even
though they stopped Al Thamen’s attempt to revive Il Ilah, he reminds them that
the hole is still not open. Yunan had also checked afterwards and noted it was
still there, similar to one in the Great Rift. If Al Thamen creates another
Black Spot and Medium, then Il Ilah can immediately descend, which means they
couldn’t fight it nearly as effectively.
Sinbad says it’d be a good idea to
collaborate, since Sindria has been building up its power to fight against Al
Thamen, but he suspects that the Kou Empire is at the core of the Organization.
This would pit Reim and Sindria against Kou instead of allying as a triumvirate
to fight Al Thamen, since Al Thamen is the main enemy and Kou is accused of
being the origin of it, especially with Gyokuen’s presence as a Magi from Alma
Toran.
The Sindrian leader offers to ally
with Kou if they cut all ties with Al Thamen. Kouen responds that Sinbad is a
petty man to manipulate things in such a way that he can offer assistance
assuming Kou might not be able to drive Al Thamen out, and suggesting this kind
of temporary help after pushing Kou as the enemy.
Aladdin is frustrated that the King
Vessels cannot agree.
The Kou Empire reps argue that since
Solomon wanted everyone to be equal, their goal of using even Al Thamen to
create a unified world of pure equality is his will. Sinbad’s group insists
that their goal of an alliance system with independence of each nation is
superior and the tension is high as the two groups stand off.
But Alibaba tries to stop him,
saying that he’s willing to fight with Kou even if he might have to fight
against his siblings.
Kou stops him, saying that he’s lost
all interest in Aladdin and that they’re going back to confront Gyokuen, who
he’s suspected is with Al Thamen for a while, along with Judar.
But Judar suddenly appears, saying
he’s not allied with Al Thamen, the chapter ending as he offers his friendship
to Aladdin. Will Hakuryuu also appear alongside Judar creating another faction?
World Trigger 75
Osamu and Replica review their
plans. Replica will send a bit of himself to analyze the door to Border HQ, in
case the technology is different from the Neighborhood. The pair then move
through the buildings in order to avoid Hyrein’s Alektor Trigger, since it
doesn’t work on non-Trion.
Hyrein summons Mira back, leaving
the tasks of breaking into Border HQ and handling the Snipers to the Rabits.
Osamu and Replica are attacked in
the building by Hyrein and Mira using the tracking crystal in Osamu’s arm to
pinpoint his location and unleash Alektor’s attacks at him through a wormhole.
He trips on what look like jellyfish created by Alektor, which damage one of
his legs. He gets out of the building to avoid the assault, but runs into
Hyrein. Mira is staking out the entrance where Replica’s extension was
analyzing the door, so they don’t have many options.
Suddenly, Miwa arrives, cursing Jin
for seemingly manipulating him and insisting he would save Osamu. This
surprises Hyrein, who thought he had everyone occupied elsewhere.
Osamu tells Miwa to take Chika while
he handles Hyrein, but Miwa knocks Osamu away, saying he’ll do this on his own
and not because he’s protecting Osamu, flashing back to when Jin seemingly
refused to help Miwa’s wounded sister.
The chapter ends as Hyrein is
confused at Miwa’s behavior, Miwa simply saying that all Hyrein needs to know
is that Miwa will take him down.
One Piece 761
Dressrosa is still in chaos, the Marines
trying to stop thieves from looting the scene of Sabo and Fujitora’s fight and
stopping animals from hurting themselves in trying to escape Birdcage. The
Marines conclude they have to focus on suppressing the chaos instead of
capturing the pirates.
Luffy is being attacked by Bellamy
and a Doflamingo String Clone, pushing back their attacks with Octopus Stamp.
Doflamingo’s clone attacks him from behind, smashing him through the floor,
saying Luffy couldn’t do a thing to a Tenryuubito like him.
As Doflamingo starts to try to kill
Law, Law asks how Doflamingo still holds power as a fallen Tenryuubito.
Doflamingo responds that he knows of a secret National Treasure of Mariejois
that, if revealed, would throw the world into chaos. This puts him in the good
graces of the inner circle, who might want him dead, but can’t manage to do it,
which also makes the other Tenryuubito willing to work with him in spite of
this concern.
Doflamingo then says that if he had
eaten Law’s Devil Fruit, he could’ve taken over the world with its power,
combined with Mariejois’ National Treasure. And he further states it’s able to
grant eternal life with its greatest ability, Ageless Surgery.
But Law isn’t interested in this,
Doflamingo thinking he’s ungrateful for taking the fruit from under his nose.
Law says that with what Corazon gave him, he’s now able to fight Doflamingo.
We flashback to Law’s childhood,
meeting Trebol and Diamante. Law asks to join up with them, to destroy as much
as he can in the 3 years he has left to live. We see Baby 5 and Buffalo, who
say Corazon has come back.
He’s bizarre, falling over and
spitting out hot tea, seemingly untrustworthy. But Doflamingo gave him an
executive spot. Something happened that caused Corazon to go mute and he hates
kids, throwing Law out a window as the chapter ends on Law wonders what’s up
with this person.
One Piece is on break next
week.
Toriko 293
We start with the Blue Demon
entering another room in Toriko’s mental space, much bigger than the one where
he was sitting before; meaning he may have left his room. He meets the Red
Demon, asking how AIR was. The Red Demon replies it was so amazing, it
resurrected part of his body (meaning some of his original power is coming
back?)
Red is grateful to Blue, who says
next time he meets Heracles, he’ll go all out, since to him, there’s nothing
worth doing in life besides eating. Blue comments on how Red’s arm is going to
manifest in the real world (which it did partly when Toriko was fighting
Starjun at the Cooking Fest).
Back in the outer world, we see
Toriko moving to help Komatsu. Coco, Sani and Zebra pull out their Cure Water,
but the vials are shattered. Teppei unleashes the Breath of Eternal Sleep,
Shigematsu impressed that they managed to avoid its effects of stopping the
heart and lungs. Other Neo members appear as Shigematsu says that soon Toriko’s
group will be dead by their hands.
But Toriko says otherwise, his Red
Demon arm appearing as he holds Komatsu’s lifeless body,
Brunch uses Denki Shock to bring the
Hex Food World residents back to consciousness and Sani uses Hair Wing to blow
away the Breath of Eternal Sleep. The snake monster that seemingly used it is
struck by a Chain Bomb from Zebra, destroying it.
Atashino asks to look at Komatsu,
Coco stunned that he couldn’t sense Teppei’s presence at all. Atashino and
Dinner move to help Komatsu with a Revitalizing Kitcehn Knife and Viscera
Fruit, Toriko leaving them to that, saying they should leave Neo to him. He
moves to challenge all the Neo members alone, which makes them think he’s a
fool.
One starts to attack, but Toriko
quickly punches his upper body off completely, another trying and failing to
similar effect. Shigematsu unlocks his Gourmet Cells to fight Toriko, but
he uses Infinite Kugi Punch to finish him off as well, saying he should beg
Ichiryuu for forgiveness in the next world.
Toriko then attacks Teppei, who
manages to block the attack with the wooden arm he’s using for combat, the
chapter ending on Toriko saying he can’t forgive Teppei.
Bleach 597
Pepe tries
to retreat from Liltotto’s advance, but she moves further, saying he should
take responsibility for trying to take them all down to get the glory. The
scene shifts away from her likely consuming her former ally to the Soul Palace.
Tenjirou
is perturbed that he can’t land a hit on Juhabach, who thinks he should just
ignore him and move past. Tenjirou
attacks again, but we see the space where Tenjirou attacks warp as if he’s
being redirected.
Suddenly
Shutara appears with her subordinates, saying that Juhabach is far too arrogant
after defeating Yamamoto to just walk into the Royal Palace. Her soldiers
attack, Shutara intending to finish him off now, but their attacks also seem to
bend around Juhabach.
We see who’s
behind this, Stern Ritter W, the Wind (as in twist, not the air), saying that
attacks like that can’t hit Juhabach.
The
chapter ends as Kisuke is preparing the makeshift Kuukaku cannon and firing it
to send the group up to Soul Palace.
Fairy Tail 400
We start as Acnologia rains
destruction down on the area, everyone shocked, even the demons. The Dragon
Slayers are all reacting with similar fear, Wendy still on the ground and Natsu
falling to his knees, his body hot to the touch. Gajeel is also losing energy,
Rogue and Sting elsewhere also affected. Mard Guile is still astonished, not
knowing what could happen.
Acnologia looms closer, everyone
running. Mard Guile thinks Acnologia is trying to destroy END before it can be
resurrected.
Natsu hears a voice in his head,
revealed to be Igneel, who says that he believes Natsu can defeat END. Igneel
says he’ll hold off Acnologia. Natsu then has a burst of power, Igneel bursting
magically from Natsu,. This is either because the majority of his essence
(minus a bit of spiritual essence that we saw last chapter, since it wouldn’t
make sense otherwise) was sealed inside Natsu, or he teleported out of him from
the Spirit World. It’s a bit unclear.
The two dragons clash, Natsu crying
at finally seeing his father after so many years as the chapter ends.
