Didn’t quite pay attention: apparently World Trigger is also
off this week, along with One Piece, but we should be back to normal next week.
Seven Deadly Sins 94
Gilthunder is approached by some Holy Knights who are still
dumbfounded at the revelation of Hendricksen’s evil plan and Dreyfus’ betrayal
of the Sins. Gilthunder says that they should trust him and he will aid them.
Gilthunder ask about Hauser’s whereabouts, the other knights
saying they saw him with Dreyfus and think he’s okay, not knowing he’s still
reeling from a severe injury, seemingly related to Hendricksen, if I had to
guess (I couldn’t really tell, since he got separated during the chaos of the
demon blood awakening).
Hendricksen appears, along with the Seven Deadly Sins, who
move to protect Elizabeth, Hendricksen’s target. Meliodas is knocked away and
Gowther has his head chopped off (though I doubt that will kill him,
considering what other injuries he’s taken).
Holy Knights move to attack Hendricksen, but he summons a
multitude of black dots, which he unleashes as a sort of Black Snow. If one is
touched by it, you’re instantly dead, turned to black ash. Some other knights, managing to dodge it, are
decapitated by Hendricksen.
Slader suddenly appears to fight, unveiling his power, which
we’ve seen once before, Overpower, which manages to stop Hendricksen for a
time. The Dawn Roar knight then prepares to finish Hendricksen off, initiating
a tag team attack from various Holy Knights, including Gilthunder and Guila,
ending in a massive explosion.
But Hendricksen isn’t even fazed, hardly scratched by all
those attacks, Gilthunder saying they have to keep fighting.
Elizabeth tells Margaret and Vivian to get away from her,
that she doesn’t want anyone else to die.
The chapter ends on a shocking reveal: that Veronica is
alive somehow.
Next time we’ll get two chapters and more info on the anime
coming in about 2 weeks, October 5th
Magi 240
Alibaba is confused, since Judar’s atmosphere seems
different than when he saw them back at Balbadd a year or so ago. Aladdin’s
confused at how he appeared without disrupting the Rukh, while Titus and Koumei
note something about the technique Judar used, possibly related to Magnostadt
and Al Thamen.
The two Magi compliment each other, Judar even challenging
Yunan to a fight, which he refuses. Sinbad tries to chastise Judar, but the
Magi ignores him, which shocks his Household.
Judar says that their talk of a ceasefire was what motivated
him to show up. He tells Kouen that his suspicions about Gyokuen were right and
that he should target her as a Magi of Alma Torran. The revelation that she’s
Hakuryuu’s mother shocks Alibaba further, since she’s also the leader of Al
Thamen.
The guards from outside appear, saying something terrible
has happened. They’re told that Gyokuen has been murdered by Hakuryuu, and that
they’ve confirmed this with multiple sources. The army is in shambles back at
Kou and they beg Kouen to take over.
Kouen says it should be impossible for Hakuryuu to kill
Gyokuen, thinking it’s Judar’s doing.
Judar says he helped Hakuryuu, unleashing his power, a black
third eye appearing on his forehead. He says that the true way to solve this is
through an all out war across the earth. He then sends a massive volley of
lightning around the entire island, the chapter ending as he teleports away
with time/space magic, like Koumei’s Dantalion, leaving everyone in shock.
Naruto 693
Naruto pleads with Sasuke to free the Bijuu, but Sasuke
qualifies that he intends to take out Naruto to eliminate every last bit of the
Bijuu’s chakra. Since all he needs is the chakra from the original Bijuu, he
intends to kill Naruto and then the Bijuu after he’s used them to dispel the
Infinite Tsukuyomi. Naruto says he’ll stop Sasuke, Sasuke responding that they
have to finish this, but they have to change setting.
Kakashi moves to stop him, but collapses from using the
Sharingan. Sakura, frustrated at her powerlessness, begs Sasuke to reconsider.
She voices her love for him and says that she thinks Sasuke has some kinship with
her and Naruto deep inside. Sasuke puts her under a genjutsu, imagining she was
stabbed by Sasuke through the chest.
Kakashi says Sakura truly wanted to save him, but Sasuke
says he was never worth loving and he never loved Sakura. Kakashi insists Sakura
loved Sasuke from the bottom of her heart and just wanted to be his support.
Sasuke thinks she’s only pitying him, since he lost his family.
Naruto says he’ll fulfill his promise to Sakura and bring
Sasuke back, the two moving to a new spot
Hagoromo muses on love and how his actions turned the love
and respect his sons had for him into hate and resentment from Indra. He then
tried to improve things with Madara and Hashirama, but failed. With Sasuke and
Naruto, he hopes to learn from his mistakes even more. He trusts Naruto to turn
hate into love, since he thinks Sasuke knew love before and just needs it
brought out.
Naruto and Sasuke arrive at the Valley of the End, where
they fought before the first timeskip ended, Naruto saying that he will defeat Sasuke
and he won’t hand over the title of Hokage, because Sasuke doesn’t know what it
truly means. Sasuke responds as the chapter ends by saying that their beliefs
about what it means to be Hokage are fundamentally different, starting to say
what he thinks Hokage means.
Toriko 294
Shigematsu is feeling the full power of Toriko’s Infinite
Nail Punch. It’s so powerful, it rockets him through a beast that tries to eat
him.
We see a flashback with Mansam where Toriko is asking how to
bring the Neo members manipulated by Joa’s technique back to normal. Mansam
explains that Joa has made a wound on their Gourmet Cells that can manipulate
their “taste” and subsequently their thoughts. The only way to reverse the
damage to the Gourmet Cells, which is essentially irreparable, is to do even
more damage and hope they don’t die from it. Toriko thinks it’s worth the
gamble.
As Shigematsu continues to be struck by Toriko’s attack, he
finally regrets what he did, hoping that being nutrients for Gourmet World
monsters can absolve him of even some of his sins. The other two Neo members
are absorbed into the AIR tree’s roots.
Toriko attacks Teppei with even more force than before,
using Jet Fork. Teppei manages to dodge and bind Toriko’s arm with the spiked
vines, but Toriko flexes his muscles, releasing the force of a jet engine from
it as his Gourmet Cell Demon breathes in and out, breaking free.
Toriko starts to use Jet Kugi Punch, clashing with a
similarly sized fist Teppei makes, the force between them amazing. Toriko
manages to get the advantage, punching Teppei’s wooden arm to pieces, Teppei
moving to retreat and report to Joa. Zebra and the others say they won’t let
him, but Teppei seems to disappear into thin air, shocking Coco, since it seems
like he just vanished entirely, leaving no trace. Toriko notes there is a
scent, but he can’t trace it.
Daruma Hermit is impressed, referencing something he calls
the Back Channel, which Teppei can travel through. But more importantly,
Komatsu’s life is in danger, Atashino and Dinner confused at the state of
things. It’s not that they cannot revive his heart, but it’s as if his heart
disappeared.
Daruma Hermit says the only thing that can save Komatsu is
in Area 7, PAIR, the ingredient said to be Two Drops of the Same Coin as the
chapter ends. My guess is that it has to do with the Back Channel, since Daruma
Hermit says they need to get a new heart for Komatsu.
Bleach 598
We start with the
launch not quite complete as Ganju stops them, Ichigo berating him for
seemingly wasting his time. But Ganju reveals he has the map to the Royal
Palace.
Ichigo reminds Ganju
how dangerous this will be, but Ganju says that’s exactly why he’s coming.
The pillar launches,
Orihime saying it reminds her of when they went to save Rukia back in the Soul
Society arc. She wonders about Uryuu, Ichigo saying they’ll beat him up after
they beat Juhabach and drag him back as a friend.
Nianzol further
explains his Schrift, saying it bends, twists and otherwise turns attacks away.
Shutara says that’s what will seal his fate. She says that he qualified it
applies only to enemies he’s seen, so she tries to use some hidden soldiers.
But Nianzol further states it applies to anyone he can sense, cutting down his
attackers.
But Shutara says
that she wasn’t referring to them. In the moment that he was fighting them, she
switched his clothes to her own special fabrics. Nianzol can’t take it off, the
chapter ending as Shutara says he won’t take it off until he dies, blades
piercing through him from the robes.
Fairy Tail 401
We resume on Igneel and Acnologia’s fight. The Dragonslayers
have recovered from their odd reaction to Acnologia’s appearance, Marde Guile
having escaped from fighting Rogue and Sting.
Everyone’s confused that another dragon has appeared, Erza
thinking it might be Igneel.
Marde Guile appears near the fight, saying he’ll stop them
from interfering with his plans. His focus is now on eliminating the dragons.
Natsu’s group is trying to make sense of things, Gajeel
wondering what’s going on. But Natsu is just frustrated that his quest was in
vain, leaping up to where Igneel is fighting. He grabs onto his foster father,
demanding to know what happened the day all the dragons disappeared. Igneel
tries to shut him up, barely managing to get away from Acnologia’s attack. The
resulting explosion from the flames making contact with Acnologia is massive.
Natsu thinks it might’ve done something, but Igneel tells
him it was nothing, Acnologia spreading its wings in defiance.
Igneel tells Natsu to leave, reminding him that he has his
own work to do. He even uses Natsu being in a guild as a pretense, requesting
for him to get Marde Guile’s Book of END. In exchange for not opening or
destroying it, but simply acquiring it, Igneel promises to explain everything
to Natsu.
Igneel throws Natsu towards Marde Guile, the chapter ending
in Natsu’s imminent fight with the Demon King.
