Didn’t quite pay attention: apparently World Trigger is also off this week, along with One Piece, but we should be back to normal next week.

Seven Deadly Sins 94

Gilthunder is approached by some Holy Knights who are still dumbfounded at the revelation of Hendricksen’s evil plan and Dreyfus’ betrayal of the Sins. Gilthunder says that they should trust him and he will aid them.

Gilthunder ask about Hauser’s whereabouts, the other knights saying they saw him with Dreyfus and think he’s okay, not knowing he’s still reeling from a severe injury, seemingly related to Hendricksen, if I had to guess (I couldn’t really tell, since he got separated during the chaos of the demon blood awakening).

Hendricksen appears, along with the Seven Deadly Sins, who move to protect Elizabeth, Hendricksen’s target. Meliodas is knocked away and Gowther has his head chopped off (though I doubt that will kill him, considering what other injuries he’s taken).

Holy Knights move to attack Hendricksen, but he summons a multitude of black dots, which he unleashes as a sort of Black Snow. If one is touched by it, you’re instantly dead, turned to black ash.  Some other knights, managing to dodge it, are decapitated by Hendricksen.

Slader suddenly appears to fight, unveiling his power, which we’ve seen once before, Overpower, which manages to stop Hendricksen for a time. The Dawn Roar knight then prepares to finish Hendricksen off, initiating a tag team attack from various Holy Knights, including Gilthunder and Guila, ending in a massive explosion.

But Hendricksen isn’t even fazed, hardly scratched by all those attacks, Gilthunder saying they have to keep fighting.

Elizabeth tells Margaret and Vivian to get away from her, that she doesn’t want anyone else to die.

The chapter ends on a shocking reveal: that Veronica is alive somehow.

Next time we’ll get two chapters and more info on the anime coming in about 2 weeks, October 5th

Magi 240

Alibaba is confused, since Judar’s atmosphere seems different than when he saw them back at Balbadd a year or so ago. Aladdin’s confused at how he appeared without disrupting the Rukh, while Titus and Koumei note something about the technique Judar used, possibly related to Magnostadt and Al Thamen.

The two Magi compliment each other, Judar even challenging Yunan to a fight, which he refuses. Sinbad tries to chastise Judar, but the Magi ignores him, which shocks his Household.

Judar says that their talk of a ceasefire was what motivated him to show up. He tells Kouen that his suspicions about Gyokuen were right and that he should target her as a Magi of Alma Torran. The revelation that she’s Hakuryuu’s mother shocks Alibaba further, since she’s also the leader of Al Thamen.

The guards from outside appear, saying something terrible has happened. They’re told that Gyokuen has been murdered by Hakuryuu, and that they’ve confirmed this with multiple sources. The army is in shambles back at Kou and they beg Kouen to take over.

Kouen says it should be impossible for Hakuryuu to kill Gyokuen, thinking it’s Judar’s doing.

Judar says he helped Hakuryuu, unleashing his power, a black third eye appearing on his forehead. He says that the true way to solve this is through an all out war across the earth. He then sends a massive volley of lightning around the entire island, the chapter ending as he teleports away with time/space magic, like Koumei’s Dantalion, leaving everyone in shock.

Naruto 693

Naruto pleads with Sasuke to free the Bijuu, but Sasuke qualifies that he intends to take out Naruto to eliminate every last bit of the Bijuu’s chakra. Since all he needs is the chakra from the original Bijuu, he intends to kill Naruto and then the Bijuu after he’s used them to dispel the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Naruto says he’ll stop Sasuke, Sasuke responding that they have to finish this, but they have to change setting.

Kakashi moves to stop him, but collapses from using the Sharingan. Sakura, frustrated at her powerlessness, begs Sasuke to reconsider. She voices her love for him and says that she thinks Sasuke has some kinship with her and Naruto deep inside. Sasuke puts her under a genjutsu, imagining she was stabbed by Sasuke through the chest.

Kakashi says Sakura truly wanted to save him, but Sasuke says he was never worth loving and he never loved Sakura. Kakashi insists Sakura loved Sasuke from the bottom of her heart and just wanted to be his support. Sasuke thinks she’s only pitying him, since he lost his family.

Naruto says he’ll fulfill his promise to Sakura and bring Sasuke back, the two moving to a new spot

Hagoromo muses on love and how his actions turned the love and respect his sons had for him into hate and resentment from Indra. He then tried to improve things with Madara and Hashirama, but failed. With Sasuke and Naruto, he hopes to learn from his mistakes even more. He trusts Naruto to turn hate into love, since he thinks Sasuke knew love before and just needs it brought out.

Naruto and Sasuke arrive at the Valley of the End, where they fought before the first timeskip ended, Naruto saying that he will defeat Sasuke and he won’t hand over the title of Hokage, because Sasuke doesn’t know what it truly means. Sasuke responds as the chapter ends by saying that their beliefs about what it means to be Hokage are fundamentally different, starting to say what he thinks Hokage means.

Toriko 294

Shigematsu is feeling the full power of Toriko’s Infinite Nail Punch. It’s so powerful, it rockets him through a beast that tries to eat him.

We see a flashback with Mansam where Toriko is asking how to bring the Neo members manipulated by Joa’s technique back to normal. Mansam explains that Joa has made a wound on their Gourmet Cells that can manipulate their “taste” and subsequently their thoughts. The only way to reverse the damage to the Gourmet Cells, which is essentially irreparable, is to do even more damage and hope they don’t die from it. Toriko thinks it’s worth the gamble.

As Shigematsu continues to be struck by Toriko’s attack, he finally regrets what he did, hoping that being nutrients for Gourmet World monsters can absolve him of even some of his sins. The other two Neo members are absorbed into the AIR tree’s roots.

Toriko attacks Teppei with even more force than before, using Jet Fork. Teppei manages to dodge and bind Toriko’s arm with the spiked vines, but Toriko flexes his muscles, releasing the force of a jet engine from it as his Gourmet Cell Demon breathes in and out, breaking free.

Toriko starts to use Jet Kugi Punch, clashing with a similarly sized fist Teppei makes, the force between them amazing. Toriko manages to get the advantage, punching Teppei’s wooden arm to pieces, Teppei moving to retreat and report to Joa. Zebra and the others say they won’t let him, but Teppei seems to disappear into thin air, shocking Coco, since it seems like he just vanished entirely, leaving no trace. Toriko notes there is a scent, but he can’t trace it.

Daruma Hermit is impressed, referencing something he calls the Back Channel, which Teppei can travel through. But more importantly, Komatsu’s life is in danger, Atashino and Dinner confused at the state of things. It’s not that they cannot revive his heart, but it’s as if his heart disappeared.

Daruma Hermit says the only thing that can save Komatsu is in Area 7, PAIR, the ingredient said to be Two Drops of the Same Coin as the chapter ends. My guess is that it has to do with the Back Channel, since Daruma Hermit says they need to get a new heart for Komatsu.

Bleach 598

We start with the launch not quite complete as Ganju stops them, Ichigo berating him for seemingly wasting his time. But Ganju reveals he has the map to the Royal Palace.

Ichigo reminds Ganju how dangerous this will be, but Ganju says that’s exactly why he’s coming.

The pillar launches, Orihime saying it reminds her of when they went to save Rukia back in the Soul Society arc. She wonders about Uryuu, Ichigo saying they’ll beat him up after they beat Juhabach and drag him back as a friend.

Nianzol further explains his Schrift, saying it bends, twists and otherwise turns attacks away. Shutara says that’s what will seal his fate. She says that he qualified it applies only to enemies he’s seen, so she tries to use some hidden soldiers. But Nianzol further states it applies to anyone he can sense, cutting down his attackers.

But Shutara says that she wasn’t referring to them. In the moment that he was fighting them, she switched his clothes to her own special fabrics. Nianzol can’t take it off, the chapter ending as Shutara says he won’t take it off until he dies, blades piercing through him from the robes.

Fairy Tail 401

We resume on Igneel and Acnologia’s fight. The Dragonslayers have recovered from their odd reaction to Acnologia’s appearance, Marde Guile having escaped from fighting Rogue and Sting.

Everyone’s confused that another dragon has appeared, Erza thinking it might be Igneel.

Marde Guile appears near the fight, saying he’ll stop them from interfering with his plans. His focus is now on eliminating the dragons.

Natsu’s group is trying to make sense of things, Gajeel wondering what’s going on. But Natsu is just frustrated that his quest was in vain, leaping up to where Igneel is fighting. He grabs onto his foster father, demanding to know what happened the day all the dragons disappeared. Igneel tries to shut him up, barely managing to get away from Acnologia’s attack. The resulting explosion from the flames making contact with Acnologia is massive.

Natsu thinks it might’ve done something, but Igneel tells him it was nothing, Acnologia spreading its wings in defiance.

Igneel tells Natsu to leave, reminding him that he has his own work to do. He even uses Natsu being in a guild as a pretense, requesting for him to get Marde Guile’s Book of END. In exchange for not opening or destroying it, but simply acquiring it, Igneel promises to explain everything to Natsu.

Igneel throws Natsu towards Marde Guile, the chapter ending in Natsu’s imminent fight with the Demon King.

Seven Deadly Sins 93

Everyone has varying reactions to the demon, though they all are aware of the infamy associated with it and the power it gave the New Generation Holy Knights.

Hendricksen explains that it was 20 years ago that they found the Red Demon’s corpse in the Fairy Forest’s burnt landscape. Not only did it give them the source for experimenting with the Holy Knights to give powers, but also deciphering dark magic. The power of the Red Demon manages to damage some of the Sins (Meliodas and Gowther dodge), but Ban ignores the tentacle that impaled him, saying that Hendricksen can’t beat him with that power.

He then punches Hendricksen again, saying he beat the Red Demon 20 years ago, so Hendricksen’s nothing to him. Ban smashes Hendricksen into the ground with even greater force, creating a huge hole.

Gowther notes there’s something below ground through the passage, everyone but Diane going down to investigate. King illuminates the place with Chastiefol’s 7th form.

We see Hendricksen, who thanks Ban for providing him with the Red Demon in the first place. He needed a stronger body and no human could resist the blood of another demon he has, but with his body gaining the power of the Red Demon, he thinks he’ll be strong enough to resist the rebound of power from this Gray Demon.

They only found it a few years ago, but they have determined it’s far stronger than the Red Demon. Hendricksen injects himself with some blood from it and undergoes a new transformation, glowing. Ban tries to attack, but Hendricksen seemingly blows off half of Ban’s body (still not technically killing him, I think)

The new form the druid takes looks far more like a demon, the chapter ending as Meliodas says that’s not Hendricksen anymore, as if his personality has disappeared.

Magi 239

We continue with the reminder of Aladdin’s insistence on peace treaty negotiations. Aladdin explains that even though they stopped Al Thamen’s attempt to revive Il Ilah, he reminds them that the hole is still not open. Yunan had also checked afterwards and noted it was still there, similar to one in the Great Rift. If Al Thamen creates another Black Spot and Medium, then Il Ilah can immediately descend, which means they couldn’t fight it nearly as effectively.

Sinbad says it’d be a good idea to collaborate, since Sindria has been building up its power to fight against Al Thamen, but he suspects that the Kou Empire is at the core of the Organization. This would pit Reim and Sindria against Kou instead of allying as a triumvirate to fight Al Thamen, since Al Thamen is the main enemy and Kou is accused of being the origin of it, especially with Gyokuen’s presence as a Magi from Alma Toran.

The Sindrian leader offers to ally with Kou if they cut all ties with Al Thamen. Kouen responds that Sinbad is a petty man to manipulate things in such a way that he can offer assistance assuming Kou might not be able to drive Al Thamen out, and suggesting this kind of temporary help after pushing Kou as the enemy.

Aladdin is frustrated that the King Vessels cannot agree.

The Kou Empire reps argue that since Solomon wanted everyone to be equal, their goal of using even Al Thamen to create a unified world of pure equality is his will. Sinbad’s group insists that their goal of an alliance system with independence of each nation is superior and the tension is high as the two groups stand off.

But Alibaba tries to stop him, saying that he’s willing to fight with Kou even if he might have to fight against his siblings.

Kou stops him, saying that he’s lost all interest in Aladdin and that they’re going back to confront Gyokuen, who he’s suspected is with Al Thamen for a while, along with Judar.

But Judar suddenly appears, saying he’s not allied with Al Thamen, the chapter ending as he offers his friendship to Aladdin. Will Hakuryuu also appear alongside Judar creating another faction?

World Trigger 75

Osamu and Replica review their plans. Replica will send a bit of himself to analyze the door to Border HQ, in case the technology is different from the Neighborhood. The pair then move through the buildings in order to avoid Hyrein’s Alektor Trigger, since it doesn’t work on non-Trion.

Hyrein summons Mira back, leaving the tasks of breaking into Border HQ and handling the Snipers to the Rabits.

Osamu and Replica are attacked in the building by Hyrein and Mira using the tracking crystal in Osamu’s arm to pinpoint his location and unleash Alektor’s attacks at him through a wormhole. He trips on what look like jellyfish created by Alektor, which damage one of his legs. He gets out of the building to avoid the assault, but runs into Hyrein. Mira is staking out the entrance where Replica’s extension was analyzing the door, so they don’t have many options.

Suddenly, Miwa arrives, cursing Jin for seemingly manipulating him and insisting he would save Osamu. This surprises Hyrein, who thought he had everyone occupied elsewhere.

Osamu tells Miwa to take Chika while he handles Hyrein, but Miwa knocks Osamu away, saying he’ll do this on his own and not because he’s protecting Osamu, flashing back to when Jin seemingly refused to help Miwa’s wounded sister.

The chapter ends as Hyrein is confused at Miwa’s behavior, Miwa simply saying that all Hyrein needs to know is that Miwa will take him down.

One Piece 761

Dressrosa is still in chaos, the Marines trying to stop thieves from looting the scene of Sabo and Fujitora’s fight and stopping animals from hurting themselves in trying to escape Birdcage. The Marines conclude they have to focus on suppressing the chaos instead of capturing the pirates.

Luffy is being attacked by Bellamy and a Doflamingo String Clone, pushing back their attacks with Octopus Stamp. Doflamingo’s clone attacks him from behind, smashing him through the floor, saying Luffy couldn’t do a thing to a Tenryuubito like him.

As Doflamingo starts to try to kill Law, Law asks how Doflamingo still holds power as a fallen Tenryuubito. Doflamingo responds that he knows of a secret National Treasure of Mariejois that, if revealed, would throw the world into chaos. This puts him in the good graces of the inner circle, who might want him dead, but can’t manage to do it, which also makes the other Tenryuubito willing to work with him in spite of this concern.

Doflamingo then says that if he had eaten Law’s Devil Fruit, he could’ve taken over the world with its power, combined with Mariejois’ National Treasure. And he further states it’s able to grant eternal life with its greatest ability, Ageless Surgery.

But Law isn’t interested in this, Doflamingo thinking he’s ungrateful for taking the fruit from under his nose. Law says that with what Corazon gave him, he’s now able to fight Doflamingo.

We flashback to Law’s childhood, meeting Trebol and Diamante. Law asks to join up with them, to destroy as much as he can in the 3 years he has left to live. We see Baby 5 and Buffalo, who say Corazon has come back.

He’s bizarre, falling over and spitting out hot tea, seemingly untrustworthy. But Doflamingo gave him an executive spot. Something happened that caused Corazon to go mute and he hates kids, throwing Law out a window as the chapter ends on Law wonders what’s up with this person.

One Piece is on break next week.

Toriko 293

We start with the Blue Demon entering another room in Toriko’s mental space, much bigger than the one where he was sitting before; meaning he may have left his room. He meets the Red Demon, asking how AIR was. The Red Demon replies it was so amazing, it resurrected part of his body (meaning some of his original power is coming back?)

Red is grateful to Blue, who says next time he meets Heracles, he’ll go all out, since to him, there’s nothing worth doing in life besides eating. Blue comments on how Red’s arm is going to manifest in the real world (which it did partly when Toriko was fighting Starjun at the Cooking Fest).

Back in the outer world, we see Toriko moving to help Komatsu. Coco, Sani and Zebra pull out their Cure Water, but the vials are shattered. Teppei unleashes the Breath of Eternal Sleep, Shigematsu impressed that they managed to avoid its effects of stopping the heart and lungs. Other Neo members appear as Shigematsu says that soon Toriko’s group will be dead by their hands.

But Toriko says otherwise, his Red Demon arm appearing as he holds Komatsu’s lifeless body,

Brunch uses Denki Shock to bring the Hex Food World residents back to consciousness and Sani uses Hair Wing to blow away the Breath of Eternal Sleep. The snake monster that seemingly used it is struck by a Chain Bomb from Zebra, destroying it.

Atashino asks to look at Komatsu, Coco stunned that he couldn’t sense Teppei’s presence at all. Atashino and Dinner move to help Komatsu with a Revitalizing Kitcehn Knife and Viscera Fruit, Toriko leaving them to that, saying they should leave Neo to him. He moves to challenge all the Neo members alone, which makes them think he’s a fool.

One starts to attack, but Toriko quickly punches his upper body off completely, another trying and failing to similar effect. Shigematsu unlocks his Gourmet Cells to fight Toriko, but he uses Infinite Kugi Punch to finish him off as well, saying he should beg Ichiryuu for forgiveness in the next world.

Toriko then attacks Teppei, who manages to block the attack with the wooden arm he’s using for combat, the chapter ending on Toriko saying he can’t forgive Teppei.

Bleach 597

Pepe tries to retreat from Liltotto’s advance, but she moves further, saying he should take responsibility for trying to take them all down to get the glory. The scene shifts away from her likely consuming her former ally to the Soul Palace.

Tenjirou is perturbed that he can’t land a hit on Juhabach, who thinks he should just ignore him and move past.  Tenjirou attacks again, but we see the space where Tenjirou attacks warp as if he’s being redirected.

Suddenly Shutara appears with her subordinates, saying that Juhabach is far too arrogant after defeating Yamamoto to just walk into the Royal Palace. Her soldiers attack, Shutara intending to finish him off now, but their attacks also seem to bend around Juhabach.

We see who’s behind this, Stern Ritter W, the Wind (as in twist, not the air), saying that attacks like that can’t hit Juhabach.

The chapter ends as Kisuke is preparing the makeshift Kuukaku cannon and firing it to send the group up to Soul Palace.

Fairy Tail 400

We start as Acnologia rains destruction down on the area, everyone shocked, even the demons. The Dragon Slayers are all reacting with similar fear, Wendy still on the ground and Natsu falling to his knees, his body hot to the touch. Gajeel is also losing energy, Rogue and Sting elsewhere also affected. Mard Guile is still astonished, not knowing what could happen.

Acnologia looms closer, everyone running. Mard Guile thinks Acnologia is trying to destroy END before it can be resurrected.

Natsu hears a voice in his head, revealed to be Igneel, who says that he believes Natsu can defeat END. Igneel says he’ll hold off Acnologia. Natsu then has a burst of power, Igneel bursting magically from Natsu,. This is either because the majority of his essence (minus a bit of spiritual essence that we saw last chapter, since it wouldn’t make sense otherwise) was sealed inside Natsu, or he teleported out of him from the Spirit World. It’s a bit unclear.

The two dragons clash, Natsu crying at finally seeing his father after so many years as the chapter ends.
