WSR 8-25-14

Disclaimer: These aren’t official translations, merely scanlations. Buy localized or original manga to support the author if at all possible. Know the difference between piracy/theft and sharing without personal profit.

Looks like the raws and releases will be scheduled a bit differently unless Japan realizes this anti piracy thing is fruitless. All it’s done is delay the WSJ chapters until Friday (lot more work for me on Friday) and the WSM (Weekly Shounen Magazine) moved back to Monday (which is technically earlier, I think). Magi seems to be moved forward to Wednesday/Thursdayt release instead of its usual Monday/Tuesday release

Seven Deadly Sins 90

We see Elizabeth has been fatally wounded in the abdomen (better than what I thought: at least she didn’t lose her arm). Dreyfus and Griamor try to stop the bleeding, but it’s too much. Hendricksen breaks out of the Barrier and knocks Griamor away. Dreyfus attacks with a volley of powerful slashes, but Hendricksen reveals he broke the sword at some point, saying this battle is over.

King is pushed by Helbram to kill him, the younger fairy saying King isn’t his friend anymore. King unveils the fourth (of at least 8, iirc) form of his Spirit Treasure, Chastiefol, a giant flower from a root.

Gil saves Jericho’s brother, Diane not wanting to fight, but Ban willing to.

We see King seemingly vaporize Helbram with a blast from the giant flower form of Chastiefol and Ban slash at Jericho’s chest, seemingly trying to cut her out. It’s revealed he cut out the demon’s heart (which, if I recall correctly, might be one of two) and has saved Jericho, but at the cost of her demon blood powers.

Guila saves Diane from a demon attacking her, revealing she’s fine somehow (possibly with Gowther’s help), the groups splitting off to stop the new generations and save Elizabeth and Meliodas. The chapter ends as we see Ban and King taking out the demon hearts and Meliodas still moving towards Elizabeth, who’s thinking of Meliodas as she lies dying.

Magi 236

Solomon has died, the chapter starting on everyone mourning him. He managed to both push back Ill Ilah and Al Thamen into another space, expending all of his remaining power. The survivors are despondent and hopeless, the world they’re in drained of all life, a complete wasteland.

But Ugo encourages them, the group inspired by his words, even though Ugo feels alone, no one else in the original group of Solomon’s followers here.

The group retreats to the underground cities made by the other species. But eventually, paranoia and fear start to set in again and people begin to potentially corrupt their rukh again.

Ugo hides himself away, thinking he cannot be a leader. He speaks to Aladdin, still unborn, inquiring what he should do. He’s inspired by the thought that Aladdin is a reflection of Solomon, revealing Aladdin to everyone, saying that he will be their hope for the future.

Everyone treats him like Solomon, banding together. The various cities where the Djinn live are all connected by Aladdin’s rukh.

5 years pass and Ugo’s plans to create a new world are finally coming to fruition as the resources of the presently near dead Alma Torran are nearly gone. The chapter ends as he prepares to initiate his plan, Aladdin likely at the center in some way.

World Trigger 72

Enedora, barely able to move, is about to be taken into custody by the Border agents, but Mira appears, taking him back. He’s apparently just a normal Neighbor now, not dead, but also unable to use his Black Trigger, since it’s been destroyed. But instead of taking him back, Mira chops off the arm that has what remains of the Black Trigger on it, leaving Enedora behind.

She comments that the Trigger horn is now rooted in his brain and he will die soon. His Black Trigger, Borboros, will be transferred to someone else (meaning the Trigger itself is preserved, just the connection to it was damaged in the fight) Enedora is damaged further by Mira as she leaves, left near death. Shinoda says they’ll take him to analyze the Trigger horn later,

Meanwhile, Jin notices the future has changed again, telling Hyuse that his group has killed one of their own, Hyuse attacking him with more rage than before. Jin says he has to keep him occupied.

Izumi is still fighting Hyrein, the Border agent starting to figure out the nature of the Black Trigger; it can only affect Trion.  To attack him, Izumi collapses a building around the Neighbor leader. But he’s seemingly able to recover from this or defend. But the chapter ends as he’s shot unexpectedly in the chest as Izumi’s plan involved this surprise attack.

One Piece 758

Luffy and Law move past Diamante towards Doflamingo. Luffy congratulates Rebecca on meeting her dad and corrects her: that he’s Luffy, not Lucy, and he’ll become the Pirate King.

Diamante tries to attack them, but Law uses his Devil Fruit to teleport them away from his attack, switching places with other objects, and closer to Doflamingo. He was able to build up energy since he was in the Seastone Cuffs. But he also had to perform surgery on himself after being shot by Doflamingo a while ago, lead shots apparently a weakness of his Devil Fruit, since it was more taxing to remove them.

We see Sugar moving to use her power on Luffy and Law as revenge for Usopp thwarting her efforts from the last decade.

Usopp is panicking, wanting to help Luffy and protect him from Sugar. But Kinemon brings up that the palace is very far from where they are and the enemy is in the walls. But Usopp, with Viola’s help as well as the support of Riku, Tank and Hack keeping the citizens at bay, fires a complex shot that manages to get to Sugar’s location and frighten her into unconsciousness again with a facsimile that looks like him drawn by Kanjurou’s Devil Fruit power as the finishing blow.  It seems like Usopp is able to see the auras of Luffy, Law and Sugar, which makes me wonder if it’s a manifestation of Haki.

The chapter ends as Luffy and Law confront Doflamingo, supported by Trebol, the climactic battle about to start.

Naruto 690

Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi’s teamwork has finally enabled them to seal Kaguya with Chibaku Tensei. Kaguya thinks back to when her sons sealed her ages ago, still frustrated at being sealed by what is a part of her.

Hagoromo’s spirit recognizes that the seal is starting and he begins preparations to bring them back.

The Chibaku Tensei is starting to form the moon around Kaguya, the Bijuu escaping from her. Madara is also spit out, his body prone on the ground.

Sasuke appears near Kakashi and Sakura, telling them Naruto had something else he had to deal with and that they have to get away from this place.

Naruto finds Black Zetsu, throwing him on the moon being created by Chibaku Tensei and saying that someone who can’t be their own person doesn’t deserve to speak about the shinobi history being their creation.

Sakura panics, wondering how they’re going to get out of the Genesis dimension. With the power of all the Kage through the generations (revived somewhat through Edo Tensei as ghosts), Hagoromo initiates the summoning jutsu to bring everyone back, including Madara.

The chapter concludes as Hagoromo congratulates everyone on saving the world.

Seems like Naruto will likely be ending this year and leaving the rotation. Not sure if I’ll add something else (I’m feeling Tokyo Ghoul, but I’ll have to give it some time to see how regular in terms of release it is)

Toriko 290

Everyone gets away from the blast radius of AIR. The sheer force pushes the air into outer space, the amount released comparable to our planet’s atmosphere.

Horse King Heracles moves to finish off Toriko, since he was still able to survive after eating the tiny Air fruit. Toriko can’t fight back, but he unflinchingly stares down Heracles.

Before Heracles’ attack lands, it notices the fresh air from AIR, taking the opportunity to give birth. It sucks in the air, creating a windstorm.

Meanwhile, everyone else on the continent is amazed, Melk the First realizing that the second generation has prepared AIR fully. Komatsu awakens, worried about Toriko, Mappy telling him that things are okay.

The group sees a giant rainbow, everyone in awe, the various beasts showing respect to the new Horse King born as AIR is fully released. The chapter ends as we see the newborn Heracles and it lets out the first cry, running up the rainbow.

Bleach 594

Mayuri stabs Hitsugaya, using Ashisogi Jizou’s power to paralyze his body, along with the imbalance from the drug he administered before that caused him to constantly loop back to the past in his mind. As Toushirou lies unable to move, Mayuri injects him with another drug, the zombified Soul Reaper screaming in agony as his skin seems to go black due to some unknown effect.

But out of nowhere, Rose, Kensei and Rangiku all appear as zombies, much like Toushirou in that they were all near death. Mayuri sends his Arrancar zombies to hold them off while he continues to observe his experiment.

Meanwhile, we see that Byakuya has done well against the other Stern Ritter besides Bazz B, damaging Nanana and the mysterious bespectacled Quincy as well as Candice. Liltotto and Meninas are the only ones standing, wondering where Pepe is, saying his ability could make this battle more complicated.

We see Shuuhei, telling Byakuya he’s taken out one, but Byakuya has taken out 3. Byakuya suddenly attacks Shuuhei, asking him if he’s an imposter or being manipulated. Shuuhei says that’s ridiculous, but then speaks about doing this for Lord Pepe.

Pepe talks to himself, explaining his power in a cryptic way, the Love. It seems like he splits one’s heart in two and then slowly gains control over the person. He fires a heart from his hands that strikes Meninas, immediately making her loyal (suggesting it’s more effective on Quincy than Soul Reapers, since Shuuhei still seems to be somewhat of stable mind) and punching out Liltotto.

The chapter ends as Pepe notes that he could take all the glory if everyone ends up killing each other, teasing that he might have been thinking this from the start.

Fairy Tail 397

Gajeel, having knocked Torafusa away, tries to bring Levy back to consciousness. He asks her to give him more air, but she says she can’t, since she’s almost out of air herself. Gajeel insists, Levy realizing she could’ve just used Solid Script to make air appear, doing so.

It looks like Gajeel is doing well, landing solid blows on Torafusa. But Torafusa suddenly enhances the density of his body, damaging Gajeel’s hand as he punches.

Torafusa then says that Gajeel’s delayed the effects of his poison in the water, but it’s finally started to affect Gajeel as his body reacts in pain. The poison of Tenchi Kaimei poses a threat to virtually everyone in the area.

Gajeel remembers when a member of the Magic Council advised him to leave Phantom Lord and live a meaningful life. That same member was the one they were supposed to protect from Tartaros. But they were too late, Gajeel thinking to himself that he should’ve been more honest with her about living a life with meaning. He then recalls that she said he reminded her of her dead son.

Gajeel gets a burst of power, shouting to Berno that he’ll live life with the goal of protecting those precious to him. He starts to break Torafusa’s defense, the demon realizing that the dragon slayer absorbed the carbon from Tenchi Kaimei’s poison and made his body like steel. The chapter ends as Gajeel finishes Torafusa off, leaving the next battle to Natsu.

WSR 8-18-14

Disclaimer: These aren’t official translations, merely scanlations. Buy localized or original manga to support the author if at all possible. Know the difference between piracy/theft and sharing without personal profit.

Next week should be our usual pattern of manga.

Magi 235

As Ugo’s group leaves Sheba, expired away, the others wonder what Sheba gave to Ugo. He explains it’s their child, still apparently barely developed, Ugo vowing to raise it in their stead. Everyone else is worried that Arba’s group is still after them. Suddenly, Solomon appears, still in his older appearance after dividing the Rukh.

The Black Rukh starts to manifest in the sky, much like in the more recent incident at Magnostadt, Solomon explaining that they’re trying to return everything to nothingness. He calls the chiefs of the other species, asking them if they will follow him even after he inadvertently caused all this chaos by his decision. They say they accept that things went differently, but they still trust him, wanting to protect the world they all share.

The final battle begins, the chiefs of the species becoming Djinns with the Metal Vessels and Solomon’s magic. They defeat some of the Black Rukh Avatars, but Arba thinks they can still win. Ugo observes that the Black Rukh is running low, Arba noting that they didn’t expect Solomon to fight against them.

Wahid moves to fight against Solomon’s forces, stretching out his hand to reach the dark Ill Ilah, connecting him to the world. His desperation for his wife and child shocks Falud, who didn’t want him to die. Ill Ilah, summoned from Black Rukh, takes the Rukh from virtually every living thing, leaving very few behind.

Solomon tells Ugo that, as the strongest magician, he entrusts him with creating the world anew as he disappears, fighting against Arba. The two cannot resolve their conflict, Arba saying she hates Solomon for causing the God she followed to fall to the level of humans.

The chapter ends as Solomon prepares to give up the Rukh for Ugo to create the new world, willing to finish off Arba as well, difficult a choice as that is.

One Piece 757

Bartolomeo holds off Gladius’s Pop Pop Fruit ability, creating stairs with his Bari Bari no Mi. Luffy and Law head up, Cavendish holding off the nutcracker toys as Kyros also goes ahead.

Gladius fires more of his Pop Bullets, Bartolomeo jumping in front of them to protect Luffy without his barrier. He explains that he can only use so much surface area with his barriers and he used it all on the stairs. Robin fights off the toys as well, telling Bartolomeo he was right to bet on Luffy, since he’s a true trump card.

Meanwhile, Fujitora and Sabo’s fight continues, Fujitora revealing he can even utilize horizontal gravity with his Devil Fruit, pushing Sabo to be even more serious.

Rebecca is running from Diamante, who attacks her, taunting his opponent for being of no use to them now. He pulls a gun, saying it’d be fitting, since it was how he killed Rebecca’s mother. Rebecca screams for her father’s help, Kyros cutting at Diamante. He says he’ll protect her, sorry that he could only teach her to fight, even though she was more like her mother in wanting peace.

Luffy and Law reach Rebecca, releasing Law from his Seastone Cuffs. The chapter ends as Kyros leaves Doflamingo to Luffy and Law, focusing on Diamante for the moment.

Naruto 689

Kakashi reveals that he can use Kamui too, meaning this is at least partly Obito’s Sharingan, combining it with giant shuriken to create the black holes on impact, severing the various arms Kaguya made as she transformed into the pseudo Ten Tails. Kakashi notes that the power is enhanced since Obito got some of the Six Path’s chakra as well.

More tendrils appear from the ground, allowing Kaguya to calm the Bijuu and summon a giant Gudoudama (the same black energy that Naruto and Madara used to negate ninjutsu). Black Zetsu explains that in this Genesis dimension, Kaguya can draw the chakra from those caught in the Infinite Tsukyomi in the other dimension, so now she’s starting to create a new dimension with the newfound power.

Kakashi and the rest start to strategize as to sealing Kaguya, since they can’t expect to really stop something of that size.

Naruto and Sasuke rush forward, bringing Naruto’s clones for support. Kaguya fires the bone spears at Kakashi, who uses Kamui to have it go through him with no effect. He then utilizes a greater version of Raikiri, hurting Kaguya enough that it seems Naruto and Sasuke will manage to seal her. But Black Zetsu opens up a portal, firing a bone spear with the hand he has (even though Kaguya regenerated the arm she lost when Black Zetsu was chopped off her body).

Naruto reveals he made another Shadow clone. Kaguya fires one at that, but Kakashi negates the portal with Kamui, teleporting Sasuke to replace the dying Shadow Clone and putting them in prime position to seal her.

Kaguya tries to move out of their range, but Sakura appears above her, using taijutsu to punch her back down.

Kakashi says he’s proud to have been their sensei, that he loves them like his own children, the chapter ending as their combined tactics make it so that Kaguya appears to have been sealed (though there could still be a twist)

Toriko 289

As the Horse King takes a breath, everything in the area slowly dies due to the lack of oxygen. It seems like Toriko is still able to fight, surprising the Horse King.

Brunch is still cutting away the dense air around AIR, Dinner reviving more ingredients for the roots to absorb.

As Komatsu starts to prepare the AIR fruit, air starts to leak out, Zebra sealing the holes. Komatsu explains that the usual method was to let the air escape and keep the remaining taste in the fruit. But his plan is to keep the fruit secure and only let the air out as the fruit hits the ground, preserving the taste even as they release air from one spot.

Sani is entrusted with restraining the fruit with Hair Lock and Coco’s poison will stabilize the fruit from ripening too fast. Komatsu starts digging a hole through the fruit with his knife, every moment a potential danger of the fruit exploding.

Every one of the leaks is like a volcano’s force to Zebra, Sani only able to complete a Hair Lock by connecting to Remote Hairs around the circumference of the fruit. And Coco’s poison is almost going out of control as his Appetite Demon is enticed by the taste. Wild monsters are also drawn towards it, Mappy preparing to fight them off.

In 10 minutes, the fruit starts to fall. Komatsu says he needs at least another minute, the group working to hold the fruit up. It seems like the fruit will fall in spite of everyone’s effort. But suddenly, it seems as if some hidden power in Komatsu allows him to finish preparations. The chapter ends as the air escapes from AIR, the ingredient at perfect taste.

Bleach 593

Mayuri persists in asking Toushirou if he wants to take the drugs, assuring him it’s for the sake of Seiretei. Toushirou attacks, Mayuri unleashing a web to entangle him. It misses, Toushirou attacking Mayuri. He manages to block them all thanks to a sensor in Ashisogi Jizou that makes contact with any blade in a two foot radius at an angle of 60 degrees or more. In effect, it means the sword will always be parried.

Toushirou tries to attack with a knee, but Mayuri blocks it with something that then becomes like cloth on his knee. It explodes, taking most of the leg with it.

Toushirou unleashes his Bankai, seemingly killing Mayuri, but the scene loops to the beginning of their conversation about the drugs. Toushirou kills Mayuri again, the loop starting over as Mayuri notes that Toushirou has finally begin to understand.

Mayuri’s drugs are meant to give new experiences to the brain. In this case, it’s the ability to see into the past. Every time Toushirou kills Mayuri in battle, his mind goes back to when they start talking about the drugs. Toushirou’s reactions are probably in his mind, since we’ve gotten the indication that he’s under Giselle’s power and can’t speak of his own volition. The difficulty is that as long as he continues to kill Mayuri, he’ll be looped back. If he doesn’t, then the loop will be negated.

Mayuri continues to explain that if one loops more than 10 times, there’s a negative side effect. Since it affects the hippocampus, related to short term memory, it also makes it near impossible for the person affected to know how many times they’ve looped. But once they’ve looped over 10 times, their balance is severely compromised, paralyzing them for 30 seconds.

The chapter ends as Mayuri says that the real question is when Mayuri administered the drug, preparing to seemingly kill Hitsugaya.

WSR 8-4-14 + 8-11-14

Disclaimer: These aren’t official translations, merely scanlations. Buy localized or original manga to support the author if at all possible. Know the difference between piracy/theft and sharing without personal profit.

So apparently, next week is Obon, so I’m mostly catching up on last week’s stuff, this week is a freebie: had internet out for a week, so I’m having to do a mad dash on lots of things, but this is something I’m really focused on. Next week we'll be out a few series: probably Seven Deadly Sins, Fairy Tail and definitely World Trigger.

Seven Deadly Sins 88-89

A knight that was connected to Helbram’s Link power wakes up to see the kingdom in ruins, commenting on how it looks hellish. Meanwhile, Diane is still trying to stop Jericho, who’s stuck in a trance, remembering her rivalry with her brother.

Ban is still wondering if it’s really okay with Meliodas to kill him. Meliodas still insists he should do it, since he’d do it if he were in Ban’s shoes. Ban stabs down, but Meliodas suddenly strikes back with a headbutt. Ban is furious, Meliodas qualifying that he wouldn’t let himself be killed, but if he dies, so be it. He has to keep the promise he made with Elizabeth, so he won’t just lay down and die. They both have things precious to them, so they have to fight for them.

Hawk tries to stop Ban, saying that the Goddess Clan might be lying, but Ban says if this is the only way, he has to try. Hawk responds that if he’s right, then Elaine comes back, but if he’s wrong, he loses his best friend. Ban asks what he should do, saying that even with all his friends, living without Elaine is like hell.

Meliodas says he understands, concluding they have to focus on protecting the kingdom now, and that they’ll settle this later. Seeing as it’s an order from his captain, Ban complies.

Griamor tries to save Elizabeth, Hendricksen attacking him from behind. He manages to protect himself with Wall. Hendricksen taunts him, saying he can’t beat him. But Griamor says he must, the chapter ending as he teams up with his father to attack Hendricksen.

As the next chapter begins, Meliodas tells Hawk to take him to where Elizabeth is, Merlin’s castle/lab to the west. Ban leaves things to Hawk, taking Gil from Margaret and Vivian, throwing him into a demon and revealing the magic spell orbs he stole from Helbram at the Byzel Fighting Tournament. He uses a super healing incantation spell orb, recovering both Diane and Gil.

Meanwhile, King is still fighting Helbram, revived for the second time by Hendricksen, and is unable to bring himself to kill his best friend. Ban knocks Helbram back, King enraged at first. But Ban says Meliodas ordered them to perform their duty as the Seven Deadly Sins, so King complies as Helbram manages to retain some of his personality, saying it’s fine for King to kill him.

What turns out to be Jericho’s brother from the beginning of last chapter is looking for survivors, particularly his sister, Jericho recognizing his voice. He’s shocked to see his sister as a monstrous demon, Jericho thinking he might finally recognize her. But her demon body grabs him, starting to crush his body. Jericho starts to think it’d be better if someone killed her.

Meanwhile, Griamor and Dreyfus are still fighting Hendricksen, who manages to take advantage of Dreyfus’ weakened state and unleashes a wave of his Acid power on Dreyfus. Griamor protects himself, but thinks his father is doomed. But Dreyfus reveals by sheer force of will, he can resist Hendricksen’s Acid power’s effect. He also managed to take a chunk out of Hendricksen’s body, but it quickly recovers.

Dreyfus wonders what’s happened to his friend, Hendricksen responding that he’s become a superior being to humans. He starts to attack, but Griamor seals him in a Barrier, Dreyfus unleashing his strongest attack to break through it and defeat Hendricksen as repentance for his ignorance. But as he attacks, the effects from the acid make the ground under Dreyfus’ feet break and his attack misses.

We see Meliodas and Hawk moving to Elizabeth’s location and the chapter ends as we see Elizabeth was fatally wounded by Dreyfus’ attack.

Magi 234

We see Sheba preparing everyone for a ceremony to unite the world under Solomon, but Arba doesn’t agree. She thinks they should listen to the other magicians, but Sheba’s concerned Solomon will die soon, since most of his life has been expended with dividing the Rukh. Sheba insists on her position with frightening fervor, making Arba think she’s become vastly different than before.

Sheba speaks to Solomon, saying that the others will understand why she had to be so harsh. She creates 72 metal vessels, with special formulae in them, activated with magoi and passed down to the various species’ chiefs. The species all build their own cities and things seem to be progressing well. But Sheba notices that everyone’s Rukh is becoming black again.

Arba’s group had been researching the black Rukh and creating beings from it, eventually revolting near the day of Solomon’s death.  With the power of the black Rukh, they gained newfound power, following the ideals of the eight pointed star instead of Solomon’s notion of utopia, calling their group Al Thamen, literally in Japanese “Eight Pointed Star Fellowship”.

Arba and Sheba clash, Arba eventually using the full power of the Black Rukh and defeating Sheba. She says how much she pities Sheba, manipulated by Solomon, who Arba sees as a great sinner now for trying to become like a god himself.  Her group moves to conquer elsewhere, Ugo finding her near death, astonished that Arba, a fellow Magi, betrayed them.

Sheba’s Rukh appears, telling Ugo that the child she and Solomon made is still alive, passing on as the chapter ends on her regretting that she wasn’t able to protect everyone, especially the child she’ll never see.

World Trigger 70-71

The enemy Rabit attacks Replica’s Black Rabit, but the Black Rabit is quicker and stronger, smashing part of the enemy Rabit’s face off and blocking their counterattack with a Shield. Replica tells Osamu to run after it analyzes the magnetic Trigger shards, saying Yuma will be fine, since Yuma prioritized Replica to rescue Osamu and Chika. Since Jin said that the successful future depends on Osamu and Chika getting to the base, Replica will eventually aid Osamu if the door isn’t opened by the time he gets there.

Meanwhile, Enedora is starting to understand the training room’s function and features. The Border team in the room thinks they’ve found his weak point, but he creates decoys and starts to gain the advantage. The analysis reveals he can turn into liquid and gaseous forms, slowly escaping from the room, eventually just breaking out by force.

The others wonder where Shinoda is, one of them noting it could take time. But Kido says Shinoda would take a shortcut. We see Shinoda outside the building, breaking in with his Trigger.  He attacks Enedora, who thinks there’s no way his Normal Trigger could beat his Black one. But Shinoda says they’ve been training to fight someone of his caliber for all these years. The chapter ends on the specification that it’s 16 minutes until the turning point of Jin’s prediction.

We start the next chapter (because WSJ is legit, since next week will be a break for the actual magazine unlike with most scans) with Shinoda noting the analysis of the Black Trigger Enedora uses. It can change Trion into gas or liquid, hardening it to protect the weak points. The major attacks to watch out for are from cracks and from gas that strikes from inside the body. They turn on the AC to blow away the gas, Shinoda asking for the locations of the weak points, including the dummies. He says he’ll hit them all.

Shinoda keeps attacking, Enedora unable to create dummies fast enough and it looks like Enedora’s weak points are struck. Shinoda says that the only advantage Enedora has is surprise, but once they’ve observed him enough, he’s weak. But Enedora is still alive, having pulled the Trion points away at the last minute. He damages Shinoda’s relay center, making him unable to move.

But Shinoda says Enedora’s lost already, Suwa’s squad using tactics that take advantage of Shinoda having struck the weak points, marking them. One of the agents tries to hit the weak point within the dummy formation, Enedora beating them. But two more attack from behind, the one from before a distraction with a smokescreen as they Bailed Out, Enedora defeated as they strike his two weak points

The chapter ends as the Border agents celebrate this victory and the female Neighbor speaks as if Enedora is still alive in a sense, even though he should technically be dead, since his Trigger was embedded in his body.

One Piece 756

Usopp is amazed at Viola’s power, Viola searching for Mansherry in the palace. Kinemon and Kanjurou appear, Kanjurou inadvertently making a path for the people potentially after Usopp to follow.

Violet finds Mansherry, contacting Leo, who remembers the location as related to Rebecca’s mother. Viola and the Tontatta got into trouble in the past, but Scarlett always came to comfort them. The goal is to save Mansherry in spite of the danger that the palace holds now with Doflamingo’s crew.

The group is close to Level 3, but Gladius attacks them from below, knocking Bartolomeo down. Robin holds him off, telling Rebecca and Leo to go ahead.

Viola sees that Sugar has regained consciousness, which makes Usopp panic. Meanwhile, Sugar is still somewhat traumatized and we see that the giant dolls from before are likely Sugar’s doing as she plans to turn everyone in the kingdom into toys to make up for her failure.

Luffy’s group is facing the giant nutcrackers, both Luffy and Cavendish attacking the toys, but seemingly having no effect as they quickly recover. Bartolomeo and Robin fall from the sky, offering to hold off Gladius as Luffy’s group heads to where Rebecca is to get the key.

Rebecca, Leo and Kabu arrive at the palace and Rebecca is left alone. The chapter ends as she encounters Diamante, eager to fight Rebecca and remind her of the pain he caused her by killing her mother.

Naruto 688

We start with Obito telling Rin he has to go back to help Kakashi, since he doesn’t want his friend butting in on his private time with Rin. Using his latent power, he goes back to Kakashi in the physical world. His spirit goes into Kakashi, talking to his friend in his mental world. He says that he wants Naruto to become the7th Hokage after Kakashi, giving him a present to follow up on the eye he gave him when Kakashi became a jounin. This time, it seems he’s given Kakashi the power of Sharingan in both his eye, if only temporarily.

Naruto and Sasuke are pushing Kaguya, Naruto utilizing 9 Rasenshuriken, each with the power of one of the Bijuu embedded in them.  But just before they make contact, Kaguya seems to activate some ability.

As she falls back from the attack, she starts to warp form, changing into something like the Ten Tails. But Black Zetsu notes she can’t fully control it, since the Bijuu aren’t subject to her anymore. A hand stretches out from Kaguya, vaporizing a clone that pushes Naruto and Sasuke out of the way. More start coming, Sasuke moving to protect Sakura.

But it’s actually Kakashi, who has a seeming master Sharingan level of power, utilizing Susanoo to save Sakura as the chapter ends on his resolve to protect Sasuke and Naruto.

Toriko 288

Komatsu’s group is amazed at seeing AIR before them. Brunch, meanwhile, is also heading towards where AIR is, noticing Sani and Nosh, Sani’s new Hair Fool technique allowing him to enhance his speed by pulling on Remote Hairs up ahead. Coco and Dinner are also making good progress by using Poison Doll and Poison Life to create Careru with all his speed.

Back with Komatsu’s group, he explains that the AIR fruit isn’t quite ripe yet. He says it’ll only have about 70% of its taste if they prepare it now, ideally wanting to wait until it hits the ground. The group wonders if that’s possible, especially Mappy, since Toriko’s still fighting the Horse King Heracles.

Brunch thinks that the sheer pressure of the air in the area is slowing down even AIR’s ripening, so he decides to use the knife Melk the First made to cut the atmosphere around AIR to speed up its status. The group offers the ingredients they found on the way to Slow Rain Hill to give AIR more nutrients, working together to support Komatsu, who’ll prepare AIR.

Toriko’s fight with Heracles is getting interesting as Blue notices that the Horse King is pregnant, explaining its odd motions and behavior. To protect its child, the Horse King creates a vacuum in the area by sucking away the air with a slight inhale.

Even Blue has to retreat into Toriko, the chapter ending as the fight seems over, since there are few entities that could fight while not being able to breathe.

Bleach 592

The other Soul Reapers are shocked to see Toushirou is a zombie now. Yumichika starts to use kidou, but Ikkaku knocks him out, since he knows this is something you have to end with brute force. Toushirou attacks with a huge burst of ice.

Yumichika is unscathed, but we see that Ikkaku has a leg frozen. Toushirou stabs him, starting to slash at the Soul Reaper while he’s down. Yumichika stops him, unleashing his Zanpakutou, but is stopped by Toushirou, who continues to overwhelm him.

Mayuri observes how closely the dead body matches the living equivalent, Toushirou attacking him. The scientist notes that Toushirou’s much faster than Bambietta, even though she was killed and turned. Giselle explains he was turned right before he died, so he’s actually stronger and can be controlled.

But Mayuri thinks that’s absurd, thinking it’s better to control someone who has a will of their own, Giselle not agreeing for once.

Charlotte moves to attack Toushirou, but Mayuri tells him it’s too dangerous a bit late, Charlotte near death. Mayuri says he’ll leave the Arrancar like that as punishment.

The 12th Divison captain says that he won’t let Toushirou continue to damage his test subjects, taunting the zombie who he knows can’t hear him, saying he’ll be a great guinea pig before he dies as the chapter ends on Mayuri saying it’s okay, since it’ll be to protect Seireitei in a sarcastic tone.

Fairy Tail 396

Natsu and Gajeel are still bickering, Lucy trying to stop them and Juvia sleep talking about love rivals.

Torafusa decides to unleash his power, Tenchi Kaimei, starting to fill up the guild with shadowy water. Tempesta waits, since his power is seemingly ineffective, like Natsu’s, underwater, Gajeel telling Natsu to get Lucy and Juvia and find a way out. But everyone is affected by the black water, which Torafusa explains is fatal within 5 minutes, Gajeel sealing his mouth and moving to attack. The scaled demon is too fast, Gajeel having to resort to his shadow power acquired from Rogue.

It looks like Gajeel gets a solid hit on Torafusa, but the demon continues to show his sheer advantage and power in his natural environment, pummeling Gajeel even harder. Gajeel runs out of breath, seemingly defeated, desperate for air as the only means for him to keep fighting.

Suddenly, Levy appears, giving Gajeel mouth to mouth and providing air for him (not subtly hinting at the potential romance that Mashima’s hinted at for a bit since Gajeel and Levy paired up in the S-Rank Tournament). Gajeel recovers, Torafusa going to attack Levy.

The chapter ends as Gajeel gets a solid strike on Torafusa from behind, grabbing Levy to protect her.
