Seven Deadly Sins is on break this
week.
Golem Hearts 5
Noah asks Eir how he can become the
second best arcanist, Eir initially brushing him off, though he tries to
compliment her, which just irritates his teacher.
Eir explains that there’s an
organization called the World Federation of Arcanists, taking missions and
getting points from them to create a ranking for the 207 people in it. Noah
asks Eir what her ranking is, Eir saying she’s 10th.
Noah wants to become a member, but Eir
explains that he couldn’t pass the test, since it’s so difficult due to the
members getting fame, money and influence, some years no one passing at all.
And Lamech can’t recommend Noah since he’s not a member, having failed the exam
10 times in a row. And even if Eir would recommend him, Noah’s only about 11
years old by Lamech’s words, so he couldn’t do it until he’s 15 or older.
Noah says he’ll do his best, even
claiming to be ready to take the exam tomorrow.
We shift to 4 years later at the site
for the World Federation of Arcanists Exam.
Two other arcanists are there,
confused at someone seemingly ready to fight them with a golem. He’s also a
participant, wanting to weed out the weaker candidates with his imposing and
tough golem that the Serpent Golem used by Carles can’t match up against.
Carles’ golem then stretches its
arms out and wraps them around the bigger golem, but still can’t manage to
break it
Lily, the more passive participant,
brings out her golem, Pure Cure and starts to heal the injured, though her
personality is overly concerned about inconveniencing others.
Carles taunts his opponent, saying
he’s worried that he might lose since his strength seems to just be his golem’s
endurance, the tough golem user placing a new Golem Art on it, Robust, which
allows it to break out of the bindings of Carles’ golem.
Before he can attack, Noah rushes
in, striking him with Hammer Man, a level 3 Golem Art that creates a gauntlet
around his hand that smashes the golem in half.
The chapter ends as Noah’s amazed
that the test has already started, wondering if he can pass by helping people,
part of his personality since the first chapter.
Dr. Stone 38
Completely neglected to mention that
we see someone walking up to the village as Chrome’s getting beaten up and it’s
very likely Gen, the mentalist from before.
We see Chrome focusing as Senkuu
calls out to him, saying that the lens won’t be able to focus the light since
it’s concave
But Senkuu realizes something as
Chrome holds it steady, that his sweat and tears pooled onto the lens when he
shielded it from Magma before, making it convex
Gen comments on the situation,
Senkuu and the others shocked to see that he’s arrived, saying that he cares
about the kingdom of science, since that’s how he’ll get his cola
Asked how long it’ll be until
Magma’s clothes ignite, Senkuu calculates, saying it’ll be about a minute, Gen
starting his job to distract Magma
He reveals himself, Magma wondering
how he survived supposedly being killed, Gen saying it was just sorcery as
usual
After a flourish of petals, Gen
tells Magma that he’s cast a spell that will make his heart explode if he moves
at all.
Magma says this is interference,
Senkuu saying that it’s up to him to test whether it’s a bluff or not.
Chrome continues with the lie,
saying he can’t move anymore and Gen saying that his spell will only last a
minute.
Magma, realizing that he could just
wait things out, says he’ll do so and then defeat Chrome
Gen taunts Magma in his mind, saying
that this was a ruse the whole time, taking advantage of Magma’s arrogance
But now it’s up to Chrome to
maintain his focus, doing so after concentrating on his need to save Ruri
After the spark is lit, Magma’s
clothes start to spread the flames with the fuzziness they have, called the
surface flash phenomenon.
Chrome then hits Magma square in the
crotch, declared the winner as the chapter ends.
We Can’t Study 41
Kirisu is looking through her
clothes, all her suits being dry cleaned, even her jerseys drying out after she
washed them. The only thing she has left is her old school uniform, mortified
to wear it, but having to go to school for some documents during summer
vacation.
But before she can drive out, a
police officer notices her, verifying her age with her license, though still
confused as to why she’s dressed like that.
Yuiga, happening to pass by, creates
a compelling story that Kirisu is the drama club’s advisor and that she’s
playing the role of a student in a play today at school.
But he immediately realizes that
Kirisu finally went through all the clothes she had piled up, which is more
humiliating to her in a way rather than trying to explain otherwise
Kirisu offers Yuiga a ride to the
school, since he’s going to the library to return some books, though Yuiga
starts to get scared as Kirisu speeds up, driving somewhat recklessly as he
thinks she might not be suited to driving.
After she gets the documents, Kirisu
and Yuiga narrowly avoid meeting various clubs as they’re practicing at the
school. But it turns out Kirisu’s car is out of gas, the two walking back to
their apartment complex.
Yuiga asks Kirisu what she was like
in high school, initially taking her aback. She confesses that because she
pursued figure skating with such passion, she didn’t have time for socializing
with friends.
To make her feel better, Yuiga buys
her ice cream, both of them eating it as she insists that she pay him back. He
comments that its’ like they’re friends hanging out, Kirisu thanking him
But Fumino and Rizu arrive, Kirisu
and Yuiga hiding so they don’t see them at the ice cream shop. Before they can
leave, Fumino and Rizu sit at the bench they were just at.
Kirisu moves to leave, but breaks a
twig, freezing, close to Yuiga, which makes him nervous. As his ice cream
melts, a drop lands on Kirisu’s neck, making her cry out in surprise.
Fumino and Rizu check behind them,
Yuiga positioning himself with Kirisu so it looks like they’re kissing, Fumino
running away in embarrassment, Rizu following
Yuiga apologizes, but Kirisu is
calm, thanking him for that as they head home.
She apologizes again for causing so
much trouble for him, but as she turns around, she runs into Asumi, who teases
them about Kirisu being in a schoolgirl cosplay of sorts, the chapter ending
with this comic timing.
Black Clover 136
Nozelle is blasting away any attacks
that come near him as he thinks to himself that the spatial mage from the
attack on Clover Kingdom brings the base out of the fog once a day, this moment
the best time to attack
Cobb is using disruptive spatial
magic outside, preventing anyone from entering from the outside, making it so
Nozelle can focus on defeating Licht here and now.
The others push forward with their
attacks, Kirsch having cut his hair and thinking he’s even more beautiful. And
one of the opponents Yuno, Noelle and En beat smashes down some members with
his Bronze Magic, not wanting to let Mereoleona down.
Asta and Zora are ready to fight,
but Mereoleona blasts past their opponents with ease, making it so they can’t
contribute much at all.
But suddenly a second Asta appears,
Asta thinking it might be Gray. Mereoleona, not wanting to think too much about
it, just blasts both of them, the real Asta managing to get out of danger with
his antimagic sword
We see the other mage is Raia,
utilizing his copy magic to heal himself and shield himself from the damage
further. Asta warns Mereoleona about his powers, Mereoleona ready to fight as
Raia compliments her beauty, but also says she’s quite vulgar.
But Mereoleona says it’s little more
than an imitation of the original, punching it with her fiery fist and then
smashing through it to strike Raia with Calidus Brachum, White Hot Arm as the
chapter ends
Lot of rough pages this week, seems
like Tabata-sensei is having issues with putting out the chapters complete,
though that’s fixed in the volumes
Boku no Hero Academia 162
We shift to a mountain range where
Gran Torini and Tsukauchi, among other police officers, have tracked down Black
Mist
The villain tells him that he has some
business with a “ruffian” reported to be in the area.
Black Mist remembers that All For
One told him there was someone he could rely on should he be captured, telling
Gran Torino and the others in the present that Shigaraki wasn’t the only person
cultivated for the future, Gigantomachia, a towering man that we saw in
Kirishima’s flashback a while back, appearing to defend his ally
The next morning, the news is still
covering the incident where Chisaki’s armored car was attacked and the serum
stolen, the police under heavy criticism now
Aizawa tells him that everyone has
recovered, only Eri and Mirio staying behind for now. Deku goes to talk to
Mirio, who shows that he’s in great shape by doing rigorous exercise in his bed
In spite of losing his Quirk and his
mentor, he won’t give up, confident that he’ll become a great Hero like
Nighteye said he would
Deku says he wonders if All Might
made the right choice, since he had to be saved by Eri and All Might, thinking
Mirio might have been the better choice to inherit One For All
Deku offers to give One For All to
Mirio, but he refuses, saying that Aizawa told him they’d try to have Eri
reverse the Quirk loss once she trains or use other methods, not wanting to subject
Deku to this suffering. He encourages Deku, saying that he needs to smile and
work towards being the new Symbol of Peace
The chapter ends as everyone returns
to school, Bakugou and Todoroki heading to their provisional license exam
One Piece 887
He tells Chiffon to move the cake onto his ship, the
cooks wondering how that’s possible
Suddenly, Sanji kicks the cart carrying the cake
into the air, asking Bege to make room. It lands on the deck as the ship runs
over Oven (though not likely fatal for him).
Pound looks at Chiffon, happy that she has a family
of her own and smiling at Pez, making the infant laugh, though Chiffon still
doesn’t recognize her father
Chiffon directs the ship to head southwest, Bege
having to run over some chocolate houses in the process
But as the ship returns to the sea, it starts to
boil, Oven using Hot Sea Hell to superheat everything in the vicinity
Chiffon and the others rush away as fast as they
can, Pound bemoaning that he couldn’t do more for his daughter, unable to even
hold them when they were born and abandoned by Linlin.
As Oven attacks him with a bisento, he congratulates
Chiffon on her marriage, hoping she’ll be happy as he’s wounded by Oven off
panel.
The chapter concludes as we see Big Mom has
discovered the Straw Hats and Sanji tells the cooks to start decorating the
cake
