Dr. Stone 30
With the roots of an unknown plant,
Ginrou is given the silver spear made by Senkuu, but he’s told that they still
need his help to get the tougher ingredients, comparing him to a protector,
which makes Ginrou imagine holding Kohaku like a hero.
The group heads out, arriving near the
hot springs where Kohaku got water for Ruri.
Senkuu tells Ginrou that his silver
spear is a sensor and that he should hold it in front of him and if it turns
black, they need to run
Senkuu and Chrome notice there’s no
fish in the river, just some emerald colored moss. Ginrou is hiding in the
back, Senkuu chastising him for being so cowardly, even Kohaku saying she
should just take it, but Ginrou insists.
They arrive at a massive emerald
lake, seen as divinely beautiful, symbolized by a goddess in the background.
Senkuu explains that they’re here to
get the water in the lake, but that there are poisonous gases like hydrogen
sulfide, the silver spear meant to be a warning.
Ginrou nearly is exposed to the gas,
pulled back by Kohaku at the last moment as we see birds that were flying
nearby fall into the lake as they inhale the gases. The goddess’ form becomes
twisted as she scares Ginrou with the illusion of her becoming a killer that
nearly succeeded
The birds dissolve in the lake,
Senkuu revealing that what they’re acquiring is one of the core materials in
chemistry, sulfuric acid
The group retreats back to the
village, Kohaku thinking she could try. But Senkuu warns her that any slip up
would kill her, citing an accident where a group was traveling to a similar
area, the leader kneeling down to tie his shoe and dying from the hydrogen
sulfide
In order to get the sulfuric acid,
Senkuu says they need to make gas masks, using Kaseki’s help to craft them.
But Senkuu isn’t certain these will
be perfect, so he tells Chrome to stay behind, that before they go he will
transmit his knowledge of science to Chrome in case they don’t make it as the
chapter concludes.
We Can’t Study 33
Yuiga is shocked to learn that Rizu,
Fumino and Uruka are all joining the cram school he’s attending. They want to
try to improve themselves apart from him, studying in a different class.
But at the breaks, each of them
approaches Yuiga, unable to keep up with the pace. Kominami’s frustrated at his
friends interrupting her study time.
Uruka comments how she doesn’t
understand the text she’s reading or even if she’s getting the right answers.
Kominami explains that the cram school textbooks aren’t good for self study,
recommending others to help them, the three girls impressed at their senior’s
experience.
They start to part ways at the
bookstore, but a suddenly rainstorm assaults the group, who takes shelter at
Kominami’s clinic. Yuiga is embarrassed as the girls’ clothes have become more
transparent after being soaked by the rain
Yuiga and Uruka both think about the
fact that Uruka’s wearing the bra that Yuiga recommended when he was in the
mascot costume at the lingerie shop a few chapters ago.
Fumino thanks Asumi’s father as she
gets some towels, Asumi’s father saying that he’s glad everyone’s friends with
his daughter as well as with Yuiga, commenting that he’s a good guy.
But when he lets it slip that Yuiga
is Kominami’s boyfriend, Fumino pulls Yuiga aside, hitting him in the stomach
in frustration. He explains quickly that it was a lie, Asumi confirming this.
Fumino is relieved, saying that Kominami must not have special feelings for
Yuiga, Asumi joking that she does like him, which only makes Yuiga and Fumino
flustered.
Asumi asks Fumino whether she likes
Yuiga, thinking that’s why she’s so interested, but Fumino denies this.
Later at the maid café, Asumi asks
Yuiga which girl he likes, Yuiga saying he doesn’t have time for romance. But
she then notes that after exams, things may be different. Yuiga notes that he
never really thought about it.
Asumi offers him a rice omelet on
the house and then gives a special service, teasing him that she might actually
have feelings for him.
But the chapter ends as she squirts
ketchup on the omelet, calling him a playboy, revealing it was another joke,
Yuiga still saying he’ll eat the omelet regardless.
Black Clover 128
Correction: it was actually a really
close match last time: Leopold and Jamon had destroyed the other team’s
crystal, but it was a moment too late before Langris destroyed theirs
The Clover Kingdom’s ruler objects
to this fight between Asta and Langris, the Wizard King using his Time Magic to
slow them down with Chronostasis so they can’t quite start their conflict
We shift to Yami about to kill
Sekke, but Cobb, the spatial magic user who transports people for the
tournament, intervenes, saying that Sekke is still in the tournament.
The other members of Asta and
Langris’ teams are teleported to where their unofficial team captains are still
trapped in the Chronostasis magic.
The Wizard King releases them,
saying he’ll have them do another tournament battle right now, their crystals
ready for the matchup.
Asta asks Zora (apparently his
alias’ name is spelled Xerx according to the newest volume release) and Mimosa
for their help, Mimosa also noticing the bizarre magic around Langris. Zora
finds it a bit petty that Asta would enlist them to fight for his own personal
affairs, but he wants to show up Langris regardless.
Meanwhile, Langris refuses aid from
Sekke and Flagill (the Snow Magic user), saying he’ll show them his power all
on his own
The Wizard King and Marx remember
their discussion about how the traitor who’s allied with the Eye of the
Midnight Sun may be doing so unconsciously. The Royal Knights exam is meant to
discern the mole within their ranks, the Wizard King willing to take them down
by his words to Marx
Asta stops Langris’ spatial magic
attack on their crystal, Mimosa and Zora going along with him to attack the
other crystal, while keeping theirs at hand
Langris decides to just blast them
with his spatial magic scatter attack, Asta only barely managing to block them.
Mimosa heals the wounds he takes, Langris saying that he’ll win and prove that
he’s superior to Finral.
Asta retorts that Langris is worse
as a Magic Knight, abandoning the people and willing to kill them to take out
the enemies when the Diamond Kingdom attacked, Finral saving people, even if he
can’t attack like Langris can.
Langris says he will win this and
that everything will fall into place, suggesting he may indeed be the traitor
rather than William Vangeance.
Asta remembers Finral acknowledging
him as someone who inspires and protects others even more than Finral does,
saying that Asta could become the Wizard King.
With this inspiring him, Asta says
he will defeat Langris as the chapter ends
Boku no Hero Academia 155
Correction here that Viz helped
with: it was actually Chisaki who was observing that Nighteye’s moves were very
similar to Mirio’s and deduced that Nighteye taught Mirio.
We see Aizawa still captured by
Chronostasis, who says that they have an interest in his Quirk, part of their
research when using Eri. We learn his Quirk is also named Chronostasis,
allowing him to slow people down when they’re cut by the clock hand parts of
his hair, though he can’t move if he wants to use it.
Chronostasis reveals that Eri is the
former boss’ daughter, Overhaul willing to do anything to achieve his goals.
Meanwhile, we see Deku is using the
ground he kicks up with his 20% One For All power as a wall, but Deku is still
only barely able to dodge Overhaul’s attacks.
He moves to finish this, but
Overhaul dodges, saying that Deku’s not nearly as fast or skilled at combat as
Mirio or Nighteye were, seemingly knocking Deku out.
We shift to Mirio, barely able to
stand as he tries to get Eri away, telling her to leave him behind, that there
are others who have come with him to save her
Deku is barely standing after the
attack, Overhaul saying he can repair himself, but it still hurts because he
has to disassemble himself to do so.
Overhaul seems to speak through
Nemoto’s body on his arm, saying that Eri has caused him to “die” again, Eri
remembering how she was “reset” by Overhaul when she was unable to provide him
with what he needed
Eri appears, Deku telling her to go
back with Mirio.
We see that Nemoto’s Confession
Quirk can be used by Overhaul, Eri manipulated by him to come, her emotions
still twisted by his abuse
Overhaul tells Deku that he’s only
hurt Eri with his attempts to save her, Nighteye thinking to himself they can’t
stop the future where they die and Chisaki escapes. Deku is unwilling to give
up, saying he will save Eri.
The chapter ends as Ryukyu along
with the remaining Bullet out of the Eightfold Cleansers, as well as Ochako and
Tsuyu, smashes through the ceiling to save them
One Piece 881
Luffy is confused about the
situation, Nami and the others trying to think of something.
Chopper brings up the Coup de Burst,
though Brook says they don’t have enough cola.
Jinbe suggests they tack the sails
and use Nami’s ability to predict weather patterns so they can enter the “Green
Room”
They head right towards the wave,
Nami thinking they can’t possibly survive. But it turns out the Green Room is a
brief moment where the wave forms a space where a ship can move through, Jinbe
knowing about this as a Fishfolk.
The group escapes as Nami comments
that Jinbe is an excellent helmsman, Perospero thinking they’ve defeated them
and communicating as such to Katakuri.
Brulee thinks as much, though the
mirror they have into the Thousand Sunny suddenly shatters, Nami having broken
it. She tells Brook and Chopper to do the same for the others, insisting that
these are Luffy’s orders and they need to trust him.
Brulee and the others are confused
at the mirrors breaking, Luffy hearing Chopper through one of the mirror
shards.
Nami tells him they’re okay, but they
won’t be able to get to Cacao Island for another 10 hours at most. She tells
him to find a mirror to Cacao Island and meet them there
Luffy is kicked away by Katakuri,
only able to hold on by sheer willpower as he tells the group to hurry up and
meet him there, smiling in spite of his pain to make sure they don’t worry
about him
Katakuri, knowing what Luffy will
say, wonders why he’d say something so reckless.
The chapter ends as Luffy says he
doesn’t plan on dying here, ready to fight Katakuri again.
Magi 365
We see that where Morgiana is
defending the people is the Kou Empire, at the site of where the Paimon dungeon
emerged. The Fanalis knocks away more of the angels, the people confused as to
why they don’t want to return to the rukh anymore. Toto and others with
Morgiana are equally perplexed, though Morgiana tells them they need to focus
on protecting everyone
Arba explains to Nerva that the
people are right to be confused, since they weren’t under hypnosis so much as
an altered state of desires. Now that the wish to return to the rukh is gone,
they still remember it faintly, so they’re trying to adjust. She further mocks
them by noting that it’s like everything they believed in has collapsed,
wondering if they have any reason to continue fighting like this.
Nerva thinks she must be like Scheherazade,
actually much older than she appears, even suggesting that she might have
wanted to rely on Sinbad as well, since she was allied with him temporarily
before.
Meanwhile, Kougyoku is still mulling
over how she was willing to sacrifice everything to return to the rukh, even
her country she was so devoted to.
Alibaba brings her back to reality,
thanking her for making that sacrifice, saying they should work together now.
Koumei asks how they can stop the
magic returning everything to the rukh, Kouen suggesting they treat this like
the Black Spot back at Magnostadt and destroy them all with their Djinn Equip.
But Koumei counters that they should
focus on the points of energy that comprise the magic circle that’s generating
it, so that the spell itself will be rendered null, familiar with how they work
with his own Metal Vessel creating a similar circle.
Alibaba remembers Aladdin explaining
a similar principle when they fought the isolation barrier that Judal made when
Hakuryuu was fighting Arba.
The towers that comprise the various
dungeons that we saw before are deduced to be those points of power referred to
before, Alibaba’s group moving to destroy them and trusting that Aladdin will
fight David in the Great Rift.
The chapter ends as Aladdin calls
out for his grandfather, his real body not far away.
Seven Deadly Sins 237
Cusack tells Zeldris he wanted to face the Seven
Deadly Sins as well, but his priority was to protect Zeldris. His student tells
him not to underestimate the Sins, Cusack responding that Chandler is in top
shape still and he should be able to handle things
We see Chandler still raging at Elizabeth, swinging
his cane and destroying the Perfect Cube, Merlin deducing he can use Absolute
Cancel.
She tries to protect Elizabeth, but finds that
Chandler can use Full Counter, since he was the one who taught it to Meliodas.
Merlin disappears, only her clothes left behind as
Chandler figures she was using a Magic Seal, but it was turned back on her and
her spells were negated (meaning this serves as a counter to her Eternity
power, since those spells have to be recast)
We see that Merlin’s true form is that of a child,
her adult appearance a glamour spell.
Chandler recognizes her, thinking she must be
Belialuin’s daughter (recent fan speculation has suggested Belialuin might not
be a person, but a place in the Demon World, though it’s still unclear).
Suddenly, Diane’s hand reaches in, getting Elizabeth
and Meliodas out. Elizabeth tells her Merlin’s in trouble, but Chandler appears
outside.
He assesses their power levels, Diane at 8000, but
King and Gowther in the 30-40K range each. Chandler sees Gowther, noting he is
the original Gowther’s doll.
Gowther tells the others that Chandler is not only
Meliodas’s master, but also the highest ranked Demon (which means he might be
on a similar level to the Ten Commandments or in the ranks of the Six Black
Knights)
But Chandler says he’s not interested in defeating
the Seven Deadly Sins, just wanting to return Meliodas to the Demon Clan’s side
and punish Elizabeth. He tells them that he’ll leave if they just surrender
them, but Diane refuses.
Chandler then uses a spell called Microscopic,
shrinking Diane down to a few inches in height to her shock.
Merlin is trying to awaken Escanor, stunned that
he’s in his original sealed form, meaning that Chandler brought true night to
the area
Chandler reveals that Demon magic power increases
with the night, summoning a rain of meteors upon them, comparing it to
celebratory fireworks for Meliodas’ rescue
The chapter ends as King and Gowther combine their
attacks together with Fusion Art-Celestial Arrow, preparing to attack Chandler.
