Obon happened recently, so this is a
two week post again, one of the 4 or so we get every year for serialized manga
Dr. Stone 23
The ramen draws interest from
many, though Kohaku and Ruri’s father Kokuyou is still resistant even after
Turquoise and Jasper bring it up.
Ganen and Ruby are especially
intrigued, Ginrou held back by Kinrou, though Kohaku brings up that Kinrou’s
already broken the rules in a way by accepting the gold spear even if he hasn’t
taken food yet.
Someone brings up cola as a drink to
go with the ramen, shocking Senkuu.
Kohaku, Ginrou and Kinrou brandish
their weapons at the new person, who reveals he broke out of petrification and
has been alone all this time, not knowing anything about Tsukasa.
Senkuu seems to recognize him as
Asagiri Gen, someone who wrote, in his opinion, trashy psychology books, though
Gen says he’s more of a mentalist.
Kohaku senses that he’s lying as he
claims to be frightened of them.
But Senkuu believes him, recruiting
Gen along with others to pump the iron furnace and using a new system to
increase the efficiency.
Gen is taken aback slightly as
Senkuu asks him how Yuzuriha and Taiju are doing, since it means Senkuu deduced
that Gen was indeed part of Tsukasa’s group
He reveals that he was sent here to
confirm whether Senkuu was truly dead, but now he thinks things are vastly
different with the potential for iron weapons to be made, willing to play
either side now, only focusing on who has the best chance.
The chapter ends as we see that the
iron has indeed been prepared with everyone’s assistance, the next step to
making the cure for Ruri also on the way.
We Can’t Study 26
Yuiga is in shock, Uruka’s friends
leaving her to recover as he tries to process things. He can’t seem to sleep
well, even spreading wasabi on his bread instead of butter and not caring.
Fumino notices Yuiga’s odd behavior,
asking what’s wrong, but he says it’s nothing
Uruka shows up, saying she’s better
now and apologizes for making them worry. Yuiga, not fully paying attention,
runs into a light post and his nose is bleeding. Uruka offers him a tissue, Yuiga
confused at why he’s acting so embarrassed over this, thinking there’s been
some kind of misunderstanding about Uruka having a crush on him
The group is studying, Yuiga trying
to focus, but Uruka touches her arm to his as she asks a question, Yuiga getting
flustered again at the contact
Yuiga and Uruka are walking home
together at Fumino’s suggestion. Uruka wants to thank him for helping her when
she fainted
He’s relieved to hear it’s just them
eating at a ramen shop, Uruka’s treat.
But Yuiga is still embarrassed as he
sees Uruka eating and perceiving it in an oddly erotic way.
The pair heads home, other couples
nearby because a love hotel is close to the ramen shop.
Uruka asks Yuiga if he has someone
he likes, Yuiga saying he doesn’t have time for that until exams are over,
which Uruka understands, even though she reacts like it’s troubling her in a
way.
As Uruka walks away, Yuiga bluntly
asks her if she likes him, trying to confirm the rumor. Uruka says that’s not
the case, Yuiga relieved at figuring out things, though he still wonders who
she likes.
The chapter ends as Uruka berates
herself for denying it, but also is divided on whether she wants to confess
rather than waiting until exams are over to confront him about her feelings.
Black Clover 121
We see Alecdra remember when he was
saved by Captain Vangeance after he was lost, ambushed during a mission. He
admires Vangeance so much as a person, but is infuriated at how he appears to
show favoritism to Yuno when he joins the squad even though he appears to be
someone who values all of the Magic Knights in the Golden Dawn.
He even says Yuno is arrogant to
claim he could become the next captain of theGolden Dawn, getting too full of
himself when he got Bell, the Sylph Spirit. But Bell says it was Yuno’s
strength that made her choose him, not sheer luck. Yuno tells her to get back
as we shift over to Noelle’s fight
Solid is told that he’s being
reckless by his remaining teammate, who begrudgingly decides to help.
However, he’s suddenly attacked by
En Ringarde’s magic, Mushroom Magic, which he can use to attack and move. We
even see that he can use it to communicate with his teammates, telling Noelle
that he cannot accept Solid being anything but a failure of an older brother.
Ringarde says that a true older sibling protects the younger ones, since he has
experience with 10 younger brothers and sisters.
Noelle is taken aback by his
passion, but responds to Solid’s insults by claiming that she doesn’t care
about whether he acknowledges her anymore, being recognized by far more
important people in the Black Bulls.
We shift back to Yuno, Alecdra
thinking there’s no way Yuno could hope to defeat him without using the Wind
Spirit’s magic and that he shall be the one to realize Vangeance’s dreams. But
Yuno unleashes a massive tower of wind from within Alecdra’s sand golem as he
tells him that he only cares about his own dreams, not those of others
Back with Noelle, she has manifested
her Sea Dragon’s Roar spell, Solid in disbelief that she’s become this
powerful.
The chapter ends as Noelle blasts
Solid away and destroys the crystal with her spell, sealing her team’s victory.
Boku no Hero Academia 149
Correction: Irinaka wasn’t being
duplicated by Twice, it was just him being angry at Twice and Toga treating the
yakuza with disrespect and lashing out at anyone to get the mission done
We flashback to Toga and Twice
introducing themselves to Chisaki and the others, reluctant to explain their
Quirks, which frustrates Irinaka, who thinks they’re underestimating the
yakuza.
Both of them explain their Quirks in
surprising detail, some of it seemingly untrue from previous experience (like
Twice only being able to copy 2 things at once), though some of it does have an
element of truth to it, so it’s likely part of Shigaraki’s plans.
Chisaki says they’ll be considered
part of the Eightfold Cleansers for now, but they can’t just run around
wherever until they’ve gained more of Chisaki’s trust, Irinaka emphasizing
again not to take the yakuza lightly.
In the present, Irinaka’s rage
continues, Deku and Aizawa trying to pinpoint where he is, which plays into
Toga and Twice’s plans to let them take out the yakuza
Toga provokes Irinaka by claiming
that the weaker someone is, the more they’ll act tough, Irinaka revealing
himself to Deku, who smashes the stone around him, allowing Aizawa to
temporarily erase his Quirk.
Twice and Toga leave Irinaka behind
as they move to do their own thing, to his irritation. But Irinaka is knocked
out by Nighteye’s hypermass seal, Deku taking him into custody as the group
deduces that something bigger is going on here.
The chapter concludes as we see
Mirio confronting Chisaki, 2 minutes in the past after he went through
Irinaka’s wall.
Magi 359
As the rukh continues to be drained
by the giant magic circle, David says that they will return the world to the
flow once and for all.
Alibaba rushes to stop it, the magic
circle summoning more tendrils of black rukh that he has to attack, along with
the angels trying to drain the rukh of everyone in the world.
One of the Sacred Palace’s black
rukh tentacles moves to attack Aladdin’s Borg, Alibaba unleashing another
massive attack to stop them
His magoi is running low, but
Alibaba thinks he can’t let down everyone that’s counting on him, especially
Aladdin, who he convinced wasn’t just some foreigner from Alma Torran, but
truly a member of this world.
Alibaba pushes himself further,
demanding more power from Amon as he continues to push back the assault, to the
surprise of everyone who still sees him as a traitor.
We’re reminded that a King Vessel is
someone that is willing to put their life on the line for the people they want
to protect.
But we see that Kougyoku and others
in the International Alliance now have their Metal Vessels and are prepared to
fight Alibaba.
David thinks that with the magic of
the Sacred Palace advancing further, the rewriting of the Rukh of everyone but
the “traitors” is even more powerful, the chapter ending as he thinks this
battle is all but over now with 4 Metal Vessel users against Alibaba, exhausted
now.
One Piece 875
We see Chopper and Brook traveling
to the Thousand Sunny in the Shark Submerge III
Meanwhile, Luffy’s group is still
running from Big Mom as Jinbe explains Big Mom’s eating disorder, wanting only
the wedding cake or she’ll continue to rampage.
Nami continues to give Zeus the
Black Balls to eat, drawing him from Big Mom. She tries to call her Homie back,
but Nami still draws him away with the Weather Ball.
Luffy attempts to attack Prometheus
to get revenge from King Baum, but finds even his Armament Haki doesn’t work on
him.
Jinbe manages to push him back with
his Fishman Karate, but Big Mom and Prometheus still persist, the other
soldiers trying to attack as well.
Jinbe tells Pedro to not get drawn
out, Luffy pulling back Carrot as well, the group trying to focus on defending
instead of attacking outright.
Zeus eats Nami’s Weather Ball right
off her Clima Tact, his body filling up with the Black Balls.
Nami uses this to her advantage,
unleashing a massive Tempo attack on Big Mom with Zeus as the medium.
Perospero and the others think the
attack was from Big Mom, telling Brook and Chopper that their friends are done
for, but they move to defend the Thousand Sunny regardless
We see Chiffon and Pudding moving
towards the site of Zeus’s attack, Chiffon remembering how she convinced Bege
to let her go as Pudding tries to apologize. Chiffon told her husband that they
can’t truly say they’re grateful for them helping Lola until they show it
through actions.
The chapter ends as Pudding sees
Sanji, her evil personality seemingly manifesting, which worries Chiffon
slightly.
Seven Deadly Sins 229
Merascylla is shocked that Elizabeth has awakened,
leaving Meliodas to rage against her as she moves to kill her preemptively
before the curse takes her life
We see Elizabeth heal King and Diane, Ban telling
Elaine she needs to rest
Merlin comments how Elizabeth is truly a Goddess now
with her amount of power.
But after Elizabeth asks her where Meliodas is, she
approaches Merlin commenting how she looks so much more grown up now, even
wondering if she could call her big sister like she used to. It was so long
ago, Merlin trying to avoid the subject, since she seems very embarrassed about
it, the others wondering how she could’ve been so different back then
Merascylla appears, taunting Elizabeth as the one
who made Meliodas betray the Demon King and how the Sins are arrogant to even
try and stop the Ten Commandments.
Ban moves to protect Elaine, Merascylla transforming
into a monstrous snake as she says she’ll destroy them in place of the Demon
King.
Merascylla targets Ban first, hating him for destroying
6 of her hearts and damaging her jaw so she can’t even bite right. She plans to
eat him and have him die and regenerate over and over again with his
immortality inside her stomach’s digestive fluids
Elaine is knocked away as she tries to attack
Merascylla, but she continues to fight against Diane’s warnings, since she
wants to protect Ban like he did her.
The Faith thinks she’s making a pointless effort,
but Hawk observes that Elaine’s power level has rapidly increased to over 20K.
Elizabeth thinks that it was her feelings to want to help Ban that transformed
her, giving Elaine fairy wings of her own.
Merascylla moves to kill them all, but her Dark
Cocoon is shattered by Meliodas, which she thinks is impossible, since it would
mean he’s as strong as Zeldris channeling the Demon King’s power
Escanor calls Rhitta to his hand, Merlin saying even
he can’t hope to beat Meliodas in this state, but he tells her that he plans to
calm Meliodas down, comparing him to a child he’s babysitting as the chapter
ends
