Dr. Stone 24
Gen brings up that he’s still
divided between Tsukasa’s kingdom, where he can be offered a harem of women and
easy work with his skills and the Senkuu’s kingdom with the scientific items
they’ll make, but the difficult work involved.
Suika still thinks the ramen is
better, Kohaku thinking they should lock Gen up or kill him. But Senkuu deduces
that if they do either, Tsukasa will come to check on Gen and that wouldn’t be
good for them.
Gen wonders why Senkuu’s so
confident that he’ll convince him to join the kingdom of science. He responds
by saying that he intends to build a power plant, to Gen’s disbelief.
Senkuu
takes the raw copper from Chrome’s storehouse, planning to melt it down to make
copper wire.
But suddenly, a storm starts to come
in, Senkuu thinking this is the worst possible outcome, since they’re not ready
The villagers panic, thinking the
storm is the wrath of the sky,
Gen wonders if Senkuu’s trying to
make a lightning generator, but instead Senkuu notes that he needs to make a
stronger magnet than the ones they made with iron sand. If lightning strikes the
iron rod, they can make a high powered magnet themselves with science.
They get to work quickly, melting
down the copper. Senkuu notices lacquer on Kohaku’s shield, Suika bringing some
to coat the iron rod in as an insulator.
With a plank from the bridge, they
make indentations to create a mold for the copper wire, which they wrap around
the iron rod.
The other villagers hear about the
bridge being damaged, thinking that Senkuu summoned the storm.
Magma, a tough looking guy, moves to
confront them, Kohaku and Chrome saying he can’t be reasoned with.
Gen tells Suika to gather some
flowers, presenting them to the opposing group and saying they want to stop the
lightning, which they don’t believe. He then makes the flowers seemingly
disappear using a magician’s technique called back palm, shifting them behind
his hands, which distracts them.
Meanwhile, Senkuu and the others
head up to the mountain where Chrome found his magnet, which they deduce must
be a place where lightning often strikes.
They move to try and stand up the
lightning rod with wood, but Kohaku thinks they can use Kinrou’s lance.
She steals it from him, stabbing it
into the ground after tying the iron rod to it as the lightning strikes it.
Gen is impressed as the next step to
making a generator is in place, his hand strongly shifting toward siding with
Senkuu’s kingdom of science as the chapter ends.
We Can’t Study 27
Yuiga is walking home and runs into
Kirisu sensei, who stops him. Her apartment has gotten dirty again, but worse
than that, there’s a cockroach that she can’t deal with.
It gets away, Yuiga cleaning up and
moving to leave. But Kirisu stops him, saying that she doesn’t want to be here
alone with the bug, offering to help him study.
Things go smoothly, Yuiga impressed
at how much progress he’s making. Kirisu orders takeout, which turns out to be
from Rizu’s udon shop. She decides to enter the house in spite of likely having
deliveries, complimenting Kirisu on the space, even though Yuiga was the one
who cleaned.
Yuiga thinks both Rizu and Kirisu
are tense and awkward around each other for reasons that are likely inaccurate,
such as him deducing Kirisu doesn’t want Rizu to realize she’s scared of a bug.
He suggests they play one of Rizu’s board
games she brought with her to break the ice, but it only makes things worse,
since Rizu still isn’t good at such things, while Kirisu handily beats her
consistently.
After Kirisu leaves to make coffee,
Yuiga tells Rizu that sometimes people care about others, but can’t show it
well, Rizu misinterpreting this to mean that Yuiga’s implying something about
himself.
He continues to emphasize his point,
Rizu thinking he might be talking about Kirisu, but doesn’t see how she could
care as a teacher with how harsh she is.
Suddenly, Kirisu rushes out into
Yuiga’s arms, the cockroach having returned. Before Yuiga can move to stop it,
Rizu smashes it instead, her restaurant experience helping her to deal with
bugs.
Kirisu is thankful, though she still
points out Rizu’s shortcomings when she was studying with her and Yuiga, Rizu
retorting that she’s working towards overcoming them.
While Yuiga and Rizu are heading
home, Rizu admits that she wasn’t trying hard enough to see other sides of
Kirisu, regarding her just as the harsh tutor she remembers her as. She thanks
Yuiga for bringing it to her attention and that she’ll make an effort in the
future to see that a teacher’s care for the student’s success is love in its
own way, even if it doesn’t seem like it at first.
The chapter ends as she asks Yuiga
if he’d get rid of a bug at her place, Yuiga thinking it’d be pointless, which
makes Rizu angry, making Yuiga feel awkward again about saying the wrong thing
Black Clover 122
The elites are stunned at their
defeats by Noelle and Yuno, the four leaf clover Magic Knight thinking that
such nobles fall hard when they’re defeated by “lesser” opponents
Asta compliments Noelle on beating
her brother, Noelle saying she was holding back, thinking to herself that she’s
gotten better control of her magic, able to use Sea Dragon’s Roar 2 more times
today.
The Wizard King is amazed at the
matches, then signaling for mages to change the scenery with magic, turned into
more rocky terrain now for the quarterfinals.
Kirsch is confident that he can
still win, Mimosa telling him to not underestimate Asta. “Zechs” is thinking
about how he’s up against Kirsch and his power, telling Asta and Mimosa they
should try more teamwork.
But Asta noticed that “Zechs” wasn’t
quite confident when they changed the scenery, thinking he must have placed
traps across the whole arena. “Zechs” is impressed, since it means Asta sensed
his ki changing.
He explains that he did place traps
everywhere, having figured out that this was the location, though Mimosa wonders
how he could’ve discovered such a hidden secret.
Asta thinks it’s not fair, but
“Zechs” tells him that there’s nothing in the rules that says he couldn’t plant
traps after scouting out the location, Asta begrudgingly accepting that they’ll
have to proceed without him revealing the secret areas where the traps are
placed.
The match starts as Kirsch says he
will free Mimosa from the corrupting influence of the commoners, unleashing his
Wild Blossom Storm, which Mimosa notes she can’t find any openings in, while
“Zechs” doesn’t want to move hastily, preferring to wait for them to fall into
his traps.
Asta decides that he has to use his
antimagic sword’s full power, manifesting the demonic aura from before, to the
shock of his teammates
He spins in a circle, using a
technique called Black Hurricane, which lets him knock away the cherry blossoms
and even destroy Zechs’ traps in the process.
The chapter ends as Asta tells
“Zechs” they should work together now, his teammate frustrated, but still
willing to collaborate in spite of that.
Boku no Hero Academia 150
Mirio tells Chisaki that he’s here
to rescue Eri, but Overhaul brings up that he pretended to not notice she was
in danger before, meaning he’s only a Hero now because he knows the facts and
can fight versus when he was with Deku, playing it safe.
As they leave, Mirio rushes at them,
but finds his vision is affected by someone’s Quirk, who makes him feel drunk,
seemingly because he’s drinking himself, hanging from the ceiling.
Nemoto Shin, the right hand man of
the Eightfold Cleansers, moves to fight Mirio, somehow forcing him to reveal
how his Quirk works.
He claims he’s different from the
others, invaluable because of his Quirk and talents, able to make things go
smoothly even though he’s not a frontline fighter. Mirio admits out loud that
he did something similar with ignoring Eri’s plight to be safe in his Hero
duties, Shin’s Quirk explained to be something like hypnosis that draws out the
truth from people.
And the other Cleanser, Deidoro, has
a Quirk called Dead Drunk that affects the equilibrium of anyone in his area of
effect.
Shin continues to press his tactics,
saying that Mirio is just using Eri as an excuse for why he failed, Mirio
unable to move after hearing something that rings so close to the truth
The pair move to take Mirio out but
he takes them out with Phantom Menace, bouncing himself with Phasing to strike
them from the walls of the narrow corridor.
He explains that he’s always known
how weak he is, so he’s trained that much harder. And Deidoro’s Quirk barely
affects him, since he’s always feeling vertigo when he uses his Quirk to its
fullest, only feeling his mass and nothing else for those brief moments.
Mirio won’t let Eri suffer anymore,
quickly moving forward and attacking Chisaki and Chronostasis, Overhaul
narrowly dodging, while Eri is dropped by Chronostasis.
She tells him to stop, that Chisaki
will kill him, but Mirio says he’ll protect her as the chapter ends.
Magi 360
We see more people from the
International Alliance mobilize against Hakuryuu and Judal elsewhere. There’s
even a magic circle allowing troops from Reim to appear on airships. Kougyoku
is supported by more Household members under Kouen’s power, who say they’ll
allow her to negotiate with Alibaba.
Kougyoku pleads with Alibaba as he
remembers when they first met, saying they should return to the rukh together.
But Alibaba refuses, saying that he won’t let them do it and he won’t return
either.
The Kou Household members attack
Alibaba, who narrowly dodges their assault.
The Reim airships unleash explosive
barrels at Alibaba, but he absorbs the heat magic with Amon’s Metal Vessel. One
of the Kou Household members lets out more flame attacks at Alibaba, thinking
that he can overwhelm him with more magoi than his body can handle.
The chapter ends as Alibaba says
that he’s willing to take that risk, seemingly invoking his Ultimate Magic to
attack.
One Piece 877
The group is amazed at how much
power Nami unleashed with Zeus in combination with her Clima Tact. But Jinbe
hears Big Mom’s footsteps, the Yonkou smashing her way through the ground as
she continues to demand wedding cake, unstoppable in her hunger tantrum.
As they flee, Pudding and Chiffon
appear, Luffy getting angry at her arrival, since she tricked them.
But Sanji is happy to see her,
Chiffon telling Pudding to tell them what she came here to say.
Pudding keeps messing up, taunting
and insulting Sanji’s group instead of speaking kinder words that she intends
to. Chiffon finally tells Sanji that they need his help to make a cake to stop
Big Mom’s rampage.
But Pudding tries to pass it off as
a coincidence, her true feeling hidden under her anger as her third eye shows
again
Chiffon explains that they’ll need
to go to Chocolat Town and make the cake, transporting it with a ship to
distract Big Mom. But they have to occupy her until then, the Straw Hats
needing to set out on Thousand Sunny to draw enemy attention.
Big Mom unleashes Nation’s Might
again, the groups narrowly dodging the shockwave.
Pudding notices the group is getting
sidetracked by the Seducing Woods, using her Memo Memo Fruit’s power to make
the Homies relive their memories of the previous owners with Flashback, distracting
them so they can’t assault them or change the path.
But Luffy’s group sees Brook and
Chopper on the Thousand Sunny, moving to help them.
Sanji, Pudding and Chiffon fly away
on Rabiyan, the chapter ending as Sanji says they need to focus on making a
cake so good that Big Mom will be knocked out by it.
Seven Deadly Sins 230
Missed an important point when Elaine transformed:
she didn’t attack Merascylla, she pulled Ban out of her mouth
Meliodas appears to be going berserk, Elizabeth
worried this might be the case. But Merlin says it’s different and Merascylla
confirms Meliodas has returned to his fearful form back when he commanded the
Ten Commandments
Merlin uses Perfect Cube to seal Escanor and
Meliodas inside its impenetrable walls, Merascylla thanking them for making it
easy for her to defeat the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Ban moves to try and take out Merascylla’s last
heart, but she reveals she can move it anywhere in her body, blasting him with
poison. He’s melting, able to regenerate, but not enough to fully defeat the
poison, a vicious cycle that could only happen to one such as Ban.
Elaine wants to help, Elizabeth stepping in and
using Invigorate to neutralize the poison on Ban.
Diane starts to use her Creation power to shift the
earth around Merascylla, who narrowly dodges. She thinks that the giantess is
all brawn and no brains, rushing up to attack.
But this was Diane’s plan, punching Merascylla and
then smashing her with Gideon. King follows up with Chastiefol’s Bumblebee
attack, the Faith thinking the attacks are like Dolor and Gloxinia’s level of
strength
Merlin notes that with her snake form, Merascylla
can’t fully utilize her magic power, so her fighting the Seven Deadly Sins as
she is, even only 5 of them, means that she’s lost
She moves to escape, but Elaine unleashes a mass of
tornados behind her, sealing off escape. Merascylla thinks Elaine is foolish to
even think of killing her, since it will mean Elaine dies as well.
Gowther then quickly uses Breaker Off to paralyze
her nerves for 10 seconds, all the time they need for Elizabeth to use
Tranquilize, purifying the miasma from Merascylla’s body.
It’s revealed her true form is a tiny snake, smaller
than even Hawk, slithering away, but captured by Merlin in a beaker for further
study. Absorbing so much miasma from the Demon World is said to be what made
Merascylla so powerful.
The chapter ends as Escanor and Meliodas square off,
Meliodas truly in control of his mind as he calls Escanor a lowly human, which
just makes the Lion’s Sin all the more ready to fight.
