So next issue appears to be the last chapter of Bleach, though we’re getting a week break because of Obon soon as well.

Black Clover 72

Vett is unconscious, defeated finally after the tough battle.

Vanessa and Finral embrace Asta, impressed at his tenacity and trust in them with the danger to his own body.

Asta says he trusts them because Yami recruited them in the past, so as his seniors, he should believe in them as much as they believe in him now.

Noelle brings up her own contributions, even demanding compliments before they remember that they need to restrain Vett to ask him more questions.

Vett flashes back to Licht encouraging him, the Beast Mage weeping over people torturing a bird.

Licht compares them to that bird, seeking freedom, but weaker than others. He even hopes for a future where they can coexist. But Vett regards humans as lesser beings, having taken away his hope in the incident we saw before, many of his friends slaughtered.

The Beast Mage’s body starts charging with new magic as he moves to blow up the entire Water Temple in a sacrificial attack.

Finral thinks it’s like Licht’s magic from before but even stronger, the amount of magic much higher by comparison.

Asta says they’ll just beat him again, everyone agreeing in spite of how dangerous things are.

Suddenly, Yami appears, having managed to break out of the dimensional constraint, directly beating up the mage who was doing it. The high priest is amazed at how powerful Yami is, seemingly using his magic to still pierce through a dimensional rift to get out, heading off himself to help Kahono and Kiato.

Asta thinks they’re stronger than ever now that their captain’s here, but Yami doesn’t take it that way, thinking Asta’s getting cocky after his recent victory.

Vett is moving to attack, but Yami, inspired by the actions of his subordinates, has learned a new spell, Dark Cloak Dimension Slicer, able to slash through time and space itself as he cuts down the Beast Mage with the chapter ending on this victory

Boku no Hero Academia 101

Mei greets Deku and friends, but has forgotten their names, getting reminded by Iida of how she used him to promote her inventions at the sports festival.

As she heads back to work, Deku asks her if he can request some adjustments to his costume, Mei’s attention immediately grabbed by the prospect of inventing.

Powerloader warns Mei if she keeps messing up his studio, she’ll be banned.

Meanwhile, Powerloader explains how he’ll adjust their costumes. He gets the requests and then decides whether it’s a simple matter of explaining to the Design Office about the changes or if he has to request approval for a bigger adjustment. It’ll take about 3 days to get back to them, which is considered short compared to other places

Deku is the first to ask about reinforcing the strength of his arms, Powerloader saying it should be an easy task. Hatsume decides to abruptly feel up Deku, for the purposes of assessing his body type and fitness, which throws both Deku and Ochako for how forward she is

She gives him a powered exoskeleton, which responds to his muscle contractions and supports them. It’s a bit finicky, not responding properly and almost overextending Deku’s back in the process.

Iida brings up his request to maintain a balanced heat with his leg engines, Mei deciding to put on some boosters to his arms that reduce heat. As she activates them, Iida’s sent flying into the ceiling. He asks why she’d even do that, Mei saying that if he wants to cool his legs, he should run with his arms, not making any sense to the others.

Powerloader apologizes for Mei’s self centeredness, but emphasizes that she’s still nonetheless a great talent and benefit to them, the mountain of gadgets in the corner that she’s made a testament to how innovative and creative she’s been in only 4 months since she started at Yuuei.

Deku thinks to himself about how Mei doesn’t constrain herself by conventional thinking and starts to imagine a solution to his problem that takes various things into account, including her recent suggestion to Iida.

He asks Iida to help him with something while Mei offers something for Ochako in regards to alleviating her motion sickness.

4 days later, everyone’s showing off their enhancements, such as Tokoyami using Dark Shadow more like armor, to cover his physical vulnerabilities. Deku has support for his arms, while Bakugou has started to develop a new move, concentrating his explosion on a single point, calling it AP Shot.

But Bakugou inadvertently created a problem as a large piece of the wall he used the attack on falls, about to hit All Might.

Deku rushes in, using his legs to get a boost of speed and kick the rock to pieces.

The chapter ends as we see that this is his new technique, Full Cowl Shoot Style, focusing on his legs to bolster the weakness his arms have.

World Trigger 152

Everyone’s been transferred in, Ikoma Unit’s 4 member unit making the random transmission spots not as big of an issue, 3 of them close to each other.

Osamu asks Usami to find locations where he can place wires, while Ouji notices that another person besides the Snipers used Bagworm, deducing it to be Osamu

The commentators wonder about Osamu’s goal, thinking it might be dangerous to wander on his own, while Ouji’s group is spreading out to look for him individually. The general conclusion is that since everyone’s transmitted onto the map an equal distance apart that they’re able to make relative assessment of where people might be by process of elimination of where people are.

Oki from Ikoma squad finds a location, but is found by one of Ouji squad’s members, helping them discern where Osamu might be.

The rest of Ikoma squad is moving along at their own pace, while Yuma is moving quickly towards an unknown target.

Some think it might be Osamu, but Isami thinks it’s Chika’s Lead Bullet, a good strategy involving the unknown factor.

Ouji observes one of the buildings, thinking it’d be suitable for a Sniper. The possibility of Tamakoma 2 baiting the teams towards what they think is Osamu with the threat of a Sniper bothers them, so they have one of their members use Bagworm to throw everyone off. Ikoma follows suit, sending a member to scout as well.

They quickly find the area where Osamu’s spread his wires, directing the others to find them, Yuma and Chika going to the location to support.

Osamu wonders whether he should wait for Yuma and Chika or do something, since he’s only 60% complete with the spreading of Wires. He decides to fires off Asteroid, which draws the two members of Ouji and Ikoma squad towards him.

.

But instead, they meet up with each other, Osamu playing them against each other to thin out their numbers. The chapter ends as he resolves to make a difference instead of getting taken out early like before.

Seven Deadly Sins 186

Estarossa is still being blasted back by the orb, rather than what appeared to happen at the end of last chapter. Zeldris tries to get him out of the path of the attack, but he can’t get close enough as the Charity is thrown away into a bigger lake and an explosion results, Zeldris apparently caught up as well

Escanor wonders if he should head back, but is also worried about not being able to maintain control of his power, since he’s at the peak of the day.

Meanwhile, Derriere and Monspiet are amazed at the Sin of Pride’s power, both Zeldris and Estarossa unable to be sensed now. Instead of going to check on their allies, they decide to focus on taking down Liones Castle, supporting Fraudrin as they planned to.

The other Holy Knights decide to prioritize protecting the citizens and the royalty, willing to sacrifice their bodies as shields even if they can’t fight directly against the Ten Commandments anymore.

As the Holy Knights bring the townsfolk to the area so Gilfrost can teleport them to the castle, some of the people are attacked indiscriminately, another Commandment’s power commanding them to attack the enemies of the Demon King.

Monspiet and Derriere say they should just give up their resistance, but Denzel steps out, replying that they still can win against these foes.

Bartra thinks to himself that he should bid farewell to his brother, Denzel leaving Ban to protect the king and queen in the castle proper.

Monspiet is in disbelief that such an old man who couldn’t even hurt the red Demons, the lowest class in their army, could pose any threat to the Commandments.

Derriere notices something about Denzel’s blade as he slashes his arm, spreading blood in a circle around himself and chanting some mysterious incantations.

Suddenly, we see the form of some angelic woman, Ban recognizing it as the Goddesses he sensed from the Horn of Cernunnos.

The others realize that Denzel is sacrificing himself to allow his body to become the vessel for manifestation of this divine power.

Graylord is stunned at this, but Derriere is furious, her power flowing outward and her form changing to something fiercer as the chapter ends with her volunteering to fight.

Magi 315

Aladdin, Alibaba and Morgiana arrive at Kou to meet Kougyoku, who was the only one who was aware of the entire situation. She kept quiet about it to Alibaba, since they were worried about being monitored, a number of rebellions occurring at the same time making them more suspicious.

The major source of their concern is Sinbad, since he told Hakuryuu that one day, there wouldn’t be nations, the former emperor of Kou confiding in Kougyoku, his successor, about this and how everyone should be wary of the King of the Seven Seas.

Everyone’s happy about Alibaba’s engagement with Morgiana, even Kougyoku, who’s still feeling bad about her powerlessness in the face of the Kou Empire’s situation, unable to do anything to really affect change without Alibaba’s help.

Aladdin wonders why she confided in him about her insecurities, trying to maintain a front for everyone else. Kougyoku says she just trusts him more, the Magi thinking she might like him more than Alibaba as the former empress brushes him off as being cocky.

Aladdin seems to be contemplating the situation, since he’s never really been one for serious romantic interests, Kougyoku probably the first to take him seriously instead of treating him like a child with his flirting ways, like Yamraiha or the like.

Alibaba and the others are heading off to Heliohapt, Alibaba wondering if Aladdin could use his teleportation circles for trade. But the Magi replies that he wants people to become independent and progress on their own, not becoming reliant on powerful people like himself or Alibaba.

Yamraiha, Masrur and Sharrkan are all at Heliohapt, happy to see their disciples after so long.

Alibaba’s marriage is pleasing to Sharrkan, but Alibaba also says he’s going to start his own company, the engagement a pretense of sorts to get starting funds for the Alibaba Trading Company, independent of, but still collaborating with the Fan Fan Trading Company.

Masrur goes along with Alibaba’s suggestion of Sharrkan marrying Yamraiha, the two having had a general bickering that fits a married couple. The others leave them to discuss that, their next stop Reim to update Titus on the situation.

The chapter concludes as Aladdin decides their last stop will be Parthevia to discuss things with Sinbad as we see the President of the International Alliance in his tower.

Bleach 685

We see Shunsui drinking at what is likely Ukitake’s grave, talking about how the recovery is going well. He’s called by one of his subordinates elsewhere as he reflects on how they’ve managed to stabilize things after 10 years, the Soukyoku repaired and seemingly even stronger than before with a much larger form.

As he leaves, we see something that suggests some remote survival of Juhabach, the Soul King or even Mimihagi.

Mayuri is assessing things in regards to Seireitei’s recovery as well, wanting to expand his secret network. He calls Nemu’s new form, a young girl now who’s very different because of Mayuri’s experimentation wanting more individuality, much louder than her 7th incarnation was.

We shift over to Kenpachi, who’s annoyed at his new subordinates speaking to him with so much respect. He, Ikkaku and Yumichika are heading to where he thinks the ceremony for the new 13th division captain is, though Ikkaku says it’s not at the 13th division barracks, but 1st division’s, but Kenpachi insists he’s gotten better with directions since Yachiru disappeared.

Shinji and Momo notice Kenpachi’s group going the wrong way, Shinji telling Momo they should just ignore them. Momo wonders if he just uses his authority as captain for frivolous things, but he insists she just doesn’t understand that he chooses things based on the necessity of him using said authority.

Iba leaps off a cliff as Toushirou and Rangiku meet up with him, complimenting the new captain on his training regimen. The new 7th division captain insists he needs to do this to meet up to the standards he set for himself.

Toushirou thinks Rangiku could learn from him, but she thinks he’s referring to Shuuhei. The 9th division vice captain says he’s mastered his Bankai, though Rangiku and Kensei are both skeptical, since they’ve never really seen it, likely just teasing him.

Toushirou comments that it’s fine that he hasn’t had an opportunity to reveal it in a decade, since that means the peace has been stable.

We move over to the 1st division’s barracks, Soifon chewing out Kenpachi for being so late. Isane, now a captain in Unohana’s place, tries to mediate the situation, though she’s still very passive, to her sister’s annoyance.

The other captains are seen, Lisa having taken over 8th division and Rose also alive, along with Kensei, thanks to Mayuri’s healing, no doubt.

Renji is waiting for Rukia, saying he can give her a piggyback ride like he used to if she’s nervous, Rukia cutting him off as she appears, ready to be promoted to captain of the 13th division.

The chapter ends as we see Akon wondering where Mayuri is, but also observing a weird spike of reiatsu that’s similar to Juhabach’s presence from 10 years ago.

The next chapter is confirmed to be the conclusion, so apparently people may have been jumping the gun this week

One Piece 835

We’re told that every 6 months in Totland, every citizen is asked a simple question: life or leave. If they say life, it seems that a portion of their lifespan is taken away, likely as a tribute to Big Mom.

Meanwhile, Luffy keeps bringing back what seem to be his crew members, but most of them are making various animal noises, suggesting the mirror Devil Fruit or such has duplicated their appearances.

One of them turns out to be Nami, though there is a duplicate of her as well. They’re confused as to what happened, Nami even saying that Luffy attacked them, likely his duplicate that Brulee made

We flashback to Nami managing to get away from Brulee. Carrot attacks her, but her attack is reflected back, Brulee explaining she ate the Mirror Mirror fruit, becoming a Mirror person.

Carrot strikes again, but this time is drawn into Brulee’s Mirror World, trapped in the mirror, unable to escape.

Brulee explains that they’ve intentionally let the Straw Hats think they managed to get in, but they have orders to stop them from getting to Sanji and emphasize how reckless they were to go against Big Mom.

Chopper is grabbed by one of the vines as Brulee commands the trees in the forest to capture them. The Straw Hat doctor uses his Rumble Ball and holds them off for Nami to escape so she can explain the situation to Luffy.

With Luffy understanding things, Nami tries to interrogate the giant stuck in the ground, who says they’ll tell her anything if she gets them some of the apple juice nearby. She agrees, but only if they tell her something useful now.

The giant thinks that Nami is pretty weak compared to Luffy, the navigator insulted by this suggestion. Considering Chopper was so strong, the giant realizes they probably shouldn’t judge them by appearances.

Nami wonders why the trees eventually gave up, Luffy wondering how they’re living in the first place. The giant explains that Big Mom ate the Soul Soul fruit and takes a month of each citizen’s life every 6 months for protection in her kingdom

The pieces of soul are then scattered around and settle into anything that doesn’t already have a soul or is dead, becoming what are called “Homies”, which explains how seemingly anything can gain sentience in Big Mom’s kingdom, the mysterious black entities seen occasionally in Totland actually incarnations of the Yonkou’s soul.

Nami and Luffy ask why the trees aren’t bothering the giant. He explains he was once one of Big Mom’s husbands, but she threw him away after he gave her two daughters, which fits with the general number of children relative to the number of husbands the Yonkou has had.

He’s ripped out of the ground by one of the 3 Sweet Commanders, Big Mom’s 10th son Cracker, who reveals that the husband in question isn’t a giant, just a person with a disproportionate body.

He begs Cracker to let him see his daughters, Chiffon, who was married recently, and Lola, Nami shocked at this revelation as the chapter ends.

Toriko 382

Midora notices Brunch and that he has Acacia’s Full Course, impressed that Toriko kept his promise.

Meanwhile, NEO, affected slowly by Mother Snake’s digestive juices, sucks them all in, like little more than soda.

The Mother Snake then tenses up and rushes towards the Whale King, wanting to sacrifice itself to defeat the Appetite Demon. Moon eats it and then leaps into the air, Dragon King Derous preparing to blast it with the full power of its attack that narrowly missed Acacia before.

Acacia eats CENTER, his body changing again in a form that glistens and shines, no hair even on his body from the sheer power of the Gourmet Cell nucleus.

He awaits NEO, thinking he’ll get out of Whale King Moon’s stomach soon.

We see NEO, ripping out of Mother Snake and then unleashing a flurry of blasts from its mouth, flying out of Whale King Moon and then dodging Derous’ blast as well.

He moves to where Acacia calls him, PAIR telling him to consume his host. But Acacia, unbeknownst to him, has using Knocking on the Blue Nitro, paralyzing him.

Instead of the original plan, Acacia moves to eat NEO, wanting to see what he tastes like with his new form and his newfound change from eating CENTER as well.

Meanwhile, Joa relishes in his defeat of Starjun and notices that Acacia has consumed NEO.

The new form is somewhat reptilian in nature, the chapter ending as Acacia calls for Joa, wanting them to head to the Gourmet Utopia with his newfound powers, having truly consumed his Gourmet Demon instead of being consumed as he was before.

Fairy Tail 496

Everyone’s very happy that Gildartz has arrived, Cana embarrassed as her father dotes on her with the enemy in front of them.

He senses that Serena isn’t truly there, the magic emanating from him not that of a human. The two clash as an explosion of power resounds from them

Romeo confides in Wendy that he’s scared, not on the level of many of the other mages. But Wendy encourages him, saying that everyone needs to rely on each other to become stronger against such a foe as Alvareth’s massive army.

Suddenly, a sandstorm from Azir appears, Elfman trying to get closer in a sandbeast Beast Soul. But an antlion pit appears, Lisanna managing to pull her brother out of it in a flying form.

Meanwhile, Jacob is fighting against Mirajane, flustered at her having nearly no clothes on with his “honorable” attitude.

Wahru Icht and Bradman move to attack as well, but are stopped by Rogue and Minerva, Sting somewhere else after Eileen’s Universe One spell shifted everyone around.

Minerva and Rogue discern that Bradman and Wahru aren’t really alive, sending Yukino to find the controller elsewhere. Angel is also there, saying it’s so nice that they’re doing this for someone that’s not even in their guild, the others confused, since she’s so effervescent.

Gildartz and Serena’s clash seems to be in the Destruction Mage’s advantage, Gildartz thinking this is a shadow of Hybrid Theory’s true power, blasting him away, possibly defeating him.

The chapter ends as everyone is encouraged, rushing forward to attack the army with newfound courage, but we see Invel watching from atop a cliff, ready to make his move.
