Black Clover 61
We start with the 4 members defeated
to the shock of the priest, as Yami suggests they bet on who will win
The mage Asta beat thinks his magic
should’ve blocked Asta’s attack without realizing he uses an anti magic sword
The others move on, but in spite of
Yami’s encouragement, the high priest says that the top 3 are considered upper
tier Magic Knights.
Finral is still trying to escape,
but the priest throws some magic to interfere with that, also confirming he
can’t use his teleportation magic to get out of the temple, stuck until the
game is over.
He manages to escape, Yami
suggesting another monster for the priest to summon
Meanwhile, Charmy is eating various
fish she found, using her Cotton magic to make servants to prepare it. She’s
approached by another one of the mages, who uses Song Magic to knock her out,
meaning that the Black Bulls won’t make a clean sweep, which creates tension in
this competition.
Asta is blasting through the
monsters, sensing someone nearby.
He meets Kiat, the grandson of the
high priest, who wants to be a dancer, but can’t go into the kingdom to show
his moves.
The Temple Knight is fast, Asta
narrowly dodging his attack. The two clash as we see Kiat’s face, meaning these
are masks that they wear. They both want to fight to show their ideals, a
fitting match.
We shift to the dolphin Temple
Knight meeting Noelle, who’s panicking slightly.
They take off their mask, revealing
themselves to be Kahono, who greets Noelle as the chapter ends.
Boku no Hero Academia 90
The clash between All Might and All
For One sends a shockwave across the area. Both the #1 Hero and Villain comment
on how they’ve gotten weaker over the years.
All Might tells All For One he won’t
let him escape like he did 5 years ago, rushing to attack, But All For One
releases a powerful attack that blasts All Might through the city
All For One explains that he
combined an Air Push Quirk with other enhancements to make it stronger, but it’s
still not enough to kill his rival.
He forces Black Mist’s Warp Quirk to
activate, teleporting the group further, since he can’t do that with the Quirk
he used before, limited in range and how he can teleport others. The warp is
open as All Might and All For One clash again, Shigaraki’s teacher telling him
to keep aiming for more power.
The Villain Alliance moves to escape
while All Might’s occupied, Deku’s group contemplating how to help Bakugou.
The Explosion Hero is trying to
fight off the Villain Alliance, who are attempting to capture him by force this
time and barely holding them off.
All Might is dragged back by All For
One when he tries to help, Deku concluding that in this situation, they still
can’t really fight.
But suddenly, an idea strikes him,
asking the others to help, so they don’t have to fight, but they can still act
to save Bakugou once he’s gotten some distance between himself and the
Villains.
Using Iida’s Engine Quirk’s full
power and Deku’s Full Cowl, they burst through the wall with Kirishima’s
Hardening Quirk as a buffer.
Then Todoroki uses his ice power to
lift them into the air with the momentum on a ramp.
And only Kirishima can do the last
part, calling out to someone he regards as a rival. Bakugou takes the
opportunity, blasting himself into the air with his Quirk and grabbing on as
the chapter ends on their escape.
Seven Deadly Sins 174
Elizabeth’s group is still in shock
at the Ten Commandments appearing before Meliodas, some recognizing
Fraudrin/Dreyfus as one of them.
One of the assassins from Marakia
explains that Hendricksen and Dreyfus were the ones to destroy their kingdom in
the past.
Arthur notes that Galan is missing
as Jericho explains that Escanor beat him. Ban is frustrated that Merascylla’s
alive, but Elaine reminds him that it’s her ability to manipulate spirits of
the dead that kept her alive, so her existence is proof that Merascylla’s power
still works.
Elizabeth demands Gilfrost to
teleport Meliodas back, but the mage says he’d have to teleport there himself
and the Ten Commandments wouldn’t give him the opportunity.
Meliodas slashes at Zeldris, his
brother tearing the arm off with the sword. But the Sin of Wrath kicks his
brother away, using his demon powers to draw the arm back to him.
Zeldris stops it by stepping on it,
calling for Graylord to initiate a spell, Cursed Chains of Enmity.
Meliodas gets away from Zeldris and
manages to reattach him arm. He then turns around and punches the ground
creating a smokescreen.
But even when it seems like he
escapes, the spell Graylord cast on him brings him back to the location he was
before
So his only option is to either
defeat the Ten Commandments or be defeated by them.
Derriere attacks, Meliodas managing
to counter for a while. But it seems that her attack power is increasing,
Monspiet explaining it as Combo Star, allowing her to add more force to each
successive attack if she doesn’t pause in her assault.
After landing 53 blows, Meliodas’
arms are heavily damaged, the 54th blow knocking him back.
Monspiet catches him and throws the
demon knight into the air, saying he can’t use Full Counter without his arms.
But even after he launches his
attack, Imprisoned Firebird, Meliodas flies out of it, Lostvayne in his mouth
as he slashes the Commandment.
It seems like he almost decapitated
him, just falling short as Derriere notes how lame Monspiet was to get attacked
like that.
The chapter ends as Meliodas
continues to fight in spite of his injuries, the fight not looking in his
favor.
World Trigger 143
Kakizaki Bails Out after his Trion
body reaches its limit, Yuma having blocked the major damage with a
concentrated Shield. And in order to keep Trion from leaking out, he uses
Scorpion to create a patch for the wound.
Tokieda and Izumi compliment both
Kakizaki for changing strategies so quick and Yuma’s quick thinking to stop the
Trion leak from getting worse.
Now Yuma has to decide whether to
help Osamu or Chika and Teruya has to figure out her move now that her
teammates have both Bailed Out.
Teruya thinks that Chika’s the
easier target, Katori squad trying to figure out a way to take out Osamu before
Yuma gets here, since they’re more dangerous together.
Since Teruya’s drawing Chika’s
attention, the Operator tells Rokuro and Yuta to circle around behind Osamu
while Yoko draws his attention.
Teruya is getting closer to Chika,
but her sniping is more accurate by association.
Usami figures out Katori squad’s
targeting Osamu, but Yoko tries to draw Osamu’s attention by asking why they’re
trying so hard to get into the away squad. The rumor about their friends
possibly being true doesn’t matter to her, since she thinks they’re naĂŻve to
conclude that hard work will get them there in spite of their big loss to
Ninomiya.
Osamu responds that he’s doing this
because it’s the right thing to do, which irritates Yoko.
Rokuro and Yuta try to attack, but
Osamu distracts their attention with red wires, Rokuro tripping on one he
didn’t see.
Osamu uses Raygust’s Thruster to pin
him and fires Asteroid bullets at close range in a spot he can’t dodge away
from.
Yuta is told to back up Yoko as
Rokuro takes the hits.
Yuma comes in and attacks Yoko, the
leader of Katori squad thinking she needs to take him out or Kakizaki will get
the points when he Bails Out.
Her hesitation allows Yuma to slash
off her arm.
Yuta goes to protect her, but Yuma
dodges and keeps his attention, Osamu blasting him with Asteroid from a blind
spot, both Rokuro and Yuta Bailing Out as Tamakoma 2 is in the lead with 4
points.
The chapter ends as Katori
emphasizes how irritated she is, alone in her squad to take on Yuma and Osamu.
Magi 305
Sinbad and Aladdin’s conversation
continues, the King of the Seven Seas noting how Aladdin never opened up to him
even when he asked him to be his Magi years ago.
Aladdin says he doesn’t hate Sinbad,
he just doesn’t’ agree with what he’s doing.
Sinbad retorts that any changes that
they can accomplish in this world will fall apart once the king perishes. So
his goal is to use Solomon’s Wisdom to enter the Sacred Palace and rewrite the
principles of the Rukh to make the world perfect.
But Aladdin responds, saying it’s
conveniently Sinbad who will change those principles to whatever he thinks is
right for everyone.
Sinbad says that’s how it should be,
since he’s the only one who can see the flow of destiny, meaning he is the
arbiter of the world’s fate in his eyes.
The nature of destiny suggests that
someone is in control: previously it was Ill Illah, then Solomon and now it’s
free again.
Sinbad condemns Solomon’s
irresponsible actions, leaving the world to chaos and suffering. He thinks that
there must be a ruler or the world can never be as it ought to.
Aladdin notes how Sinbad’s made
mistakes, Sinbad responding that they were necessary for things to come to this
point.
But the Magi argues that he’s still
imperfect, he makes mistakes, and he should accept them to improve himself
rather than taking on the burden himself, alone.
But Sinbad refuses, Aladdin
retreating as he rejects that worldview entirely.
Arba thinks they should just try to
take Solomon’s Wisdom, but Aladdin has fled with Hakuryuu and Morgiana,
explaining to them that Gyokuen is back in Hakuei’s body.
They’re attacked by Arba, Hakuryuu sending
Morg and Aladdin away with Zagan’s powers, while he stays behind to confront
Arba, hoping to finish her off for good as the chapter ends on their fight.
Bleach 674
Orihime goes to help Ichigo as
Juhabach stands up, ready to fight seriously. Ichigo stands up and rushes
forward again, narrowly dodging the Quincy King’s attacks.
Juhabach cautions Ichigo not to be
so reckless, saying he should value his life that took so much effort on his
part. He considers Ichigo’s power his own, Juhabach proceeding with the idea
that he will take it back from his son.
We shift back to the fight with
Gerard, Rukia and Renji narrowly saved by Byakuya, who tells them to go help
Ichigo. He insinuates that Gerard is as strong as Juhabach is, but Rukia and
Renji are confused. Byakuya notes that he doesn’t need them here, but Ichigo
doesn’t require their help either.
The pair seems to understand what he
means, trying to keep them safe from the more imminent foe and offer their
support to Ichigo, someone they have close ties to.
They leave, Toushirou commenting on
how Byakuya failed to deceive them, his concern for their safety obvious in
spite of his harsh words. He also observes how Rukia and Renji would be better
suited to help Ichigo, if only because of their bonds from the past.
Byakuya wonders if they’re fit to
make such decisions as Soul Reapers, but Toushirou comments that Rukia and
Renji would do it anyway.
Back at Jugram and Uryuu’s fight,
Haschwalth explains how people’s lives are like a scale, balancing between
right and wrong in their choices.
He wonders what Uryuu’s true form
is, unsure with his recent decisions that bring his loyalty into question,
wanting to help humans. Uryuu responds that he doesn’t know such a thing
himself and won’t until he defeats all of Wandenreich, readying a new bow to
fight.
The chapter ends as we see Ryuuken
and Isshin appear in the Soul Palace, having used a portal to one of the Sun
Gates that Souken, Ryuuken’s father, placed decades ago to escape from the
Wandenreich when he was exiled.
One Piece 826
The Straw Hats aboard the Thousand
Sunny think they’ve met Sanji by looking at the person at the head of the ship,
but it turns out he’s not, calling
himself Yonji, a member of the Vinsmoke family that they speculate could be
Sanji’s brother
He reacts similarly to Nami’s beauty
as his brother does, but as Luffy’s poisoning gets worse, Chopper asks for an
antidote. But Yonji refuses, saying they should try to steal it from him if
they’re pirates.
As they move to leave, Yonji is
stopped by another member of the Vinsmoke family who kicks him away, called
Reiju, Yonji’s older sister.
We see that Yonji, in spite of being
kicked off the ship, is floating in the air, Brook noting how Germa 66 was
known for being technologically advanced, as well as a group of royals that
once ruled all of North Blue.
Reiju confirms that they are indeed
still royals and that they are considered a nation, even though they don’t have
a country, allowed to participate in the Reverie.
She notices Luffy’s symptoms,
commenting that she can help him, sucking out the poison with no ill effect to
herself, since she’s the Poison Pink of Germa 66.
Luffy, awake now, asks about Reiju’s
relation to Sanji, apparently his older sister as well.
She explains that Sanji left their
family a while ago and they’ve been looking for him ever since. His initial
bounty poster was actually of Duval (making me wonder if they’re related in
some way) and then they found the picture from the Marine HQ later on, Sanji’s
father authorizing the change in status from “dead or alive” to “only alive”
Luffy demands them to return Sanji,
but Reiju and Yonji decide to not get involved, wanting to let the wedding go
smoothly. They leave, the chapter ending on one of Jinbe’s allies communicating
something to him about Luffy’s location.
Toriko 371
Acacia is astounded at GOD’s
presence, but annoyed at what he perceives as flies, 4 tiny ones and 2 big
ones, telling them to not get in his way.
Toriko calls out Acacia, the Gourmet
God impressed at how well known he is. Coco notes how famous Acacia is in the
Human World, having founded the Gourmet Era, regarded as one of the most famous
people in history.
Joa starts to make a Back Channel,
not wanting to waste time in front of GOD, Starjun stopping her.
Acacia observes how Toriko and
Starjun are the 2 big flies he spoke of before, the major threats to his
success.
Toriko observes with his scent
knowledge that Acacia killed Jirou, Joa wondering if he could tell that he
defeated Midora, but Toriko retorts that he didn’t win that fight.
Toriko asks why he killed Jirou,
Acacia explaining himself.
He first killed and ate an
ingredient when he was only 4 or 5 and from then on his appetite grew,
consuming his every waking moment, making him wonder if he was really in
control or if his appetite dominated his life.
Eventually, he had eaten every
ingredient in the world and still felt empty. He was approached by NEO in his
mind, telling him there were still new tastes to experience, Acacia continuing
to run, still unsure of his true self and his destiny.
Acacia entrusted the food of the
people and his fate to Ichiryuu before he left to meet the Blue Nitro. He
comments that Jirou dying was just fate, GOD giving him a great destiny, even
regarding himself as a god.
Toriko grabs him, saying that he
can’t blame everything on his Gourmet Cells and appetite; that people have
their own wills and they live by those, not by things that they’re born with in
some innate physical sense that they can’t control at all.
Acacia thinks Toriko is arrogant to
grab his collar, comparing it to grabbing at the universe. But Toriko responds
that Acacia’s little more than an amateur chef, Acacia asking his name.
Coco tells him he’s Toriko and that
his generation is over.
Acacia is frustrated, asking Joa
what’s taking so long. The God Chef responds that he can’t affect them with his
fungus, the group having some resistance to it.
Toriko’s confidence annoys Acacia,
saying people like him taste awful and wondering why they can maintain such
hope, like Jiji did just before he was eaten.
It turns out that Jiji did manage to
communicate the general idea of preparing GOD to the Four Heavenly Kings in
just a 1/10 of a second, perceived by their enhanced senses.
We see PAIR and some of the other
Blue Nitro that survived waiting for CENTER to be brought to them, hoping to
finish things soon by sealing Acacia/NEO.
Acacia is seething with anger, ready
to turn their hope to despair. Coco asks Toriko to leave the fight to them, but
Joa uses Tokage to summon what appears to be some of the manipulated chefs from
before.
The chapter ends as GOD appears to
be reacting in some way, but it’s unclear what it’s doing.
Fairy Tail 485
We see Natsu, Happy, Lucy and Brandish all heading
to negotiate with August, the Spriggan explaining how August is the most
reasonable, but he’s still devoted to Zeref
Natsu notices Mest/Doranbolt following them, the
mage wondering why Natsu and the others trust Brandish. He thinks they’re being
too soft, especially in removing her magic stone restraints.
The issue comes up of distance, Brandish deciding to
use her magic to increase Happy’s size so he can fly them there.
Back at Fairy Tail’s basement, Cana is still unable
to use her full power on Mavis, not willing to use so much strength on a
friend.
Mavis observes how Cana somewhat resembles Zera,
though their personalities were different enough that they would’ve grown up to
be different people entirely, Zera having died young. She encourages Cana to do
this not to hurt her, but to save her friends.
Back with Gajeel’s group, the fight is overwhelming,
the Iron Dragon Slayer using a powerful attack to somewhat clear the
battlefield.
Sting and Rogue are still recovering, Yukino
slapping Sting as he beats himself up for his failure. She believes in him,
Sting encouraged by this as he rallies the guild to fight again, Blue Pegasus
also inspired by this rousing speech.
Eileen’s subordinates note how things have changed
for their enemies, but she thinks that Bradman and Rakheid will handle things
Bradman’s magic starts to affect people on the
battlefield as they retreat, but Gajeel throws countless steel pillars into the
Spriggan, pinning him against a tree.
With this reminder of what he did to Levy and her
friends 7 years ago, Gajeel says he’ll make Bradman pay for this.
