Boku no Hero Academia 53

Stain thinks to himself that with more enemies coming, his Quirk will eventually wear off on one of the present victims.

Todoroki tells Deku that his “text” was somewhat vague, just sending his location to everyone in his contact list. But he figured it must have some meaning with him sending it, so he got here as quick as he could. He attacks Stain, who manages to dodge the Fire and Ice attacks.

Deku warns him about Stain’s Quirk, ingesting blood to paralyze his opponents.

Todoroki thinks he can keep his distance, but Stain has tactics that let him get in closer, multiple blades thrown with different timing as well as moving in closer while he’s distracted.

Iida says that they shouldn’t help him, that he has to avenge his brother. But Todoroki responds that the Ingenium he knew wasn’t such a person to be overwhelmed by vengeance.

Deku starts to realize he might be able to overwhelm Stain’s Quirk as Todoroki is stabbed by Stain, who cuts away the wall of ice he created and throws daggers before he can defend against them.

Deku stops Stain before he can finish off Todoroki with a downward stab from above, the Hero Killer noting that he’s an “O”, meaning his blood type was the factor.

While Todoroki tells Deku to fall back, the disciple of All Might says that there are 3 possible patterns as to why he was freed of the effects first: 1) The use of it on multiple people thinks it out, 2) It depends on how much blood is ingested or 3) It depends on blood type. Since Deku has O type blood, they conclude that the 3rd option makes the most sense.

Stain confirms this as we get an explanation of the Quirk: Blood Clot. He can paralyze people for up to 8 minutes, though it becomes shorter as the blood type changes from B to O.

The Hero pair thinks that they have to keep at a distance, Deku being the one to fight Stain more directly while Todoroki provides support.

Todoroki says they’ll fight together, Stain complementing them on their teamwork.

The Fire and Ice Quirk user thinks to himself that he can sympathize with Iida and knows how someone can change when they’re driven by resentment like he once was towards his father. After talking to his mother, she said she’d be much happier if he wasn’t bound by such emotions and sought to be strong on his own terms.

Iida starts to realize how much like true Heroes Deku and Todoroki are, even being chastised by Todoroki for being so selfish. He’s told he should try to reflect what his brother stood for and not just try to replace him.

The chapter ends as Deku is caught by Stain’s Quirk again, the Hero Killer much faster now, while Todoroki stands to fight him on his own.

World Trigger 111

Azuma’s squad is thinking of tweaking the map, though they’re not sure exactly how, since they have to be careful with 3 other squads against them.

We see that the Cityscape B is indeed altered with the snow weather, mobility somewhat impeded. The commentators think this isn’t Azuma’s idea, but Koarai.

The teams are rather evenly distributed, not too far from each other.

Some of Ninomiya’s squad are trying to get together, though they’re also not entirely in agreement, the leader trying to figure out what’s behind Azuma squad’s choice of the weather.

Tamakoma 2 and Azuma squad are trying to meet their other members, while Kageura is just going all out with attacking.

Azuma squad notes that Mikumo is the most vulnerable, while the three of them have to fight Yuma with his skills.

Osamu is targeted with a Meteor blast, though others are also dealing with it. It turns out it’s Hira Kitazoe of Kageura, randomly firing Meteor shots.

Ninomiya targets Kitazoe with an Asteroid blast, Yuzuru trying to keep him distracted with Sniper attacks, which Ninomiya shields.

He tells Inukai and Tsuji to target Tamakoma while he handles Yuzuru and Kitazoe, leaving Azuma to their own devices.

Meanwhile, Kageura is going after Yuma, while Kitazoe serves as a distraction so he can eventually handle Ninomiya and the others.

The commentary notes this situation, adding that Yuzuru is going to support Kitazoe, while Kageura will be in a battle royale with lots of other combatants. When the concern of him being in danger comes up, they consider that his Side Effect means he’s in no danger in close range combat, also virtually immune to Sniping and surprise attacks, numbers meaning little to him.

The only agent with has a chance to beat him in their estimation is Ninomiya, but he’s being baited by Kitazoe, while Azuma is also likely targeting Mikumo for easy points.

Back at Tamakoma HQ, Jin is with Yotaro and Hyuse, who says that there’s no way Tamakoma can win with how strong these opponents are by comparison. Jin offers a bet, saying that he’ll do virtually anything Hyuse wants if Tamakoma loses, like give him his Trigger back, but if Tamakoma wins, then Hyuse has to do anything Jin asks him. The bet is set as the chapter concludes, Osamu targeted by Inukai of Ninomiya squad.

Seven Deadly Sins 135

Meliodas jokes about how his power has returned to him, acting like he’s turned evil, King still not convinced he’s the same as he used to be. The Sin of Wrath asks Merlin if she can teleport him to where the Ten Commandments are, everyone thinking he’s crazy to rush right in there.

Merlin says she can, but he’ll have ten seconds before she can teleport him back, so he’ll need to hold them off for that time. He says he can do it, only “greeting” them and not outright fighting the whole group.

The Ten commandments react with shock as their brethren appears before them. But before everyone else can attack, Galan stops them by saying he’ll handle the enemy he let get away.

Right as he says this, Meliodas punches him with immense power in the face, sending the demon flying. Meliodas then appears behind him to slam him into the ground.

Galan gets up and slashes at Meliodas with his spear, but he dodges, giving him a series of blows that knocks him around, finishing with a missile kick that makes the demon cough up blood.

Jenna wonders if Meliodas really eliminated his emotions, Zaneli saying that it’s not the case. Instead, it’s more like he’s tempered them into something that he can use, channeling his wrath into something more direct and calculated instead of random and chaotic.

Meliodas draws Lostvayne, Galan ready to fight. But almost immediately, he’s slashed in countless places, Meliodas leaving him to talk to the others.

He says he’s just here to talk after such a long time, Zeldris saying they don’t have anything to discuss. The only things the Ten Commandments have are rage and a desire for revenge.

Meliodas responds that if that’s the case, the Seven Deadly Sins will crush them to protect the peace of Britannia.

Zeldris and Fraudrin attack as Meliodas leaves them with the final expression that this is a warning, Merlin’s magic teleporting him back as they strike.

Galan screams out in frustration after he realizes how much stronger Meliodas has become, seemingly ready to fight again should they clash in the future as the chapter ends.

Magi 275

Judal and Alibaba are still travelling through the unknown world, the Magi having to rest, since his magoi is still lower than normal.

As they’re resting, Judar asks Alibaba where they’re going, the warrior saying they’re going to meet someone that can take them back, though Judar thinks they have it hard, since they have to fly with particular rules, seeing as visibility becomes near impossible at higher altitudes.

It turns out Alibaba doesn’t know exactly where their contact is, but their goal is to make landmarks so they can find their way across the world as they travel. The endpoint is the Rift in the continent, suggesting this could be some connection to Alma Torran.

The two fall into a chasm after a squabble, discovering they’re on a giant shining dragon. Alibaba says he’s been searching for her, turning out to be the Origin Dragon that Solomon spoke of.

Alibaba says that he remembers her from Aladdin’s communication of the past through magic, the dragon remembering such a world.

Judar asks where they are, the Mother Dragon saying they’re at the bottom of the world, having passed through the various spaces between dimensions. From here, they can see all worlds.

Alibaba is observed by the Mother Dragon to be a contradictory mass, having a strong life force, but also centuries of experience.

It turns out Alibaba was with someone else for a time, what felt like 100 years, eventually coming her and meeting with Judar.  He says he needs the Mother Dragon’s power to get to where his friends are.

The Mother Dragon reveals that the place where they were and the world where Aladdin and the others reside is the same place.

It turns out the place they’re at now is connected to the other world through Ugo’s magic, the present place something like the remnants of Alma Torran, while the new world was made by Solomon.

The chapter ends as we find out that where they are is still far south in the Dark Continent, meaning it will likely take some time to get to the other world.

One Piece 796

Tsuru and Sengoku are talking with Isshou, asking why he hasn’t gone after Luffy, since it’s known that he’s in Dressrosa.

He reveals he’s been using the die, which frustrates them. But since he’s been given authority over this situation, he insists that he should be allowed to use the die method, Tsuru and Sengoku elsewhere.

Tsuru rolls the die for the 3rd time, seemingly not landing anything but the one required to keep Luffy safe.

Mansherry appears, revealing she wants to help everyone, betraying her promise to only show herself to the Royal Family.

We see that Riku is being returned to the throne, thinking that he has to try his best to help the people that regained their trust in him, also planning to pass the throne on to Rebecca, which worries Elizabello, since he thinks she may take after her headstrong mother, Scarlet.

Rebecca is being dressed up for the occasion, finding out that Riku has told a white lie, saying that Scarlet is still alive somewhere, rather than saying that she’s dead, even covering up that she was in a relationship with Kyros.

We find out a new use of Mansherry’s Heal Heal Fruit, taking blood from people and creating a flower that has permanent healing powers rather than temporary ones with her tears.

Luffy is still trying to process everything, including the rumors about Rebecca’s father, which he knows to be false, also eating and trying to rest at the same time, frustrating Zoro.

Kyros reveals he started the rumors so he could keep Rebecca’s reputation unblemished, since most of the kingdom only knows of Scarlet.  He says it’s better this way, but Luffy doesn’t think so, still allowing Kyros to do so because he respects him.

Both Bartolomeo and Leo report that the Marines are starting to move, the presence of Tsuru and Sengoku a big deal.

Isshou sees that Tsuru rolled a 6, ordering that the Marines move out to capture everyone involved, saying he’ll take the backlash.

Bartolomeo and Leo have arranged for a ship, also setting up the gladiators to keep watch on the Marines and allow them to get to safety.

Luffy’s group heads out, but he stops, thinking he has to say goodbye to Rebecca, who is worried as well, since she hasn’t seen him for a while.

The chapter ends as we see Isshou preparing to move as Tsuru looks on.

Bleach 638

Mayuri is stunned as Pernidas tells him that his name isn’t Left Arm of the Soul King. He thinks that, normally, he should have the right to name the subject he discovered, but he’ll allow it this one time.

Pernidas still doesn’t completely understand, though he seems to think that Mayuri’s insulting Quincy, which enrages him, sending his nerves into the ground to attack. Mayuri’s impressed as we see that Pernidas can even manipulate inorganic matter, dodging the attack and using his grappling arm to pull himself on a building.

But Pernidas pushes him off with another arm, seemingly smashing the Soul Reaper between the two hands that surround him.

An explosion results, Mayuri having such a thing in his armor. Yumichika warns him to not fall on the ground, Mayuri activating something in his shoes that creates circles which keep him floating in the air.

Turns out that it’s his attempt to imitate the Quincy technique of quick movement, Hirenkyaku. Hovering above the ground means that Pernidas has to extend his nerves into the air in order to attack.

Mayuri then activates something that both wraps one of his subordinates (or perhaps some other Soul Reaper) around Pernidas’ pinky, and then triggers an explosion to blow the digit off.

As he goes to preserve it, it still extends its nerves out to manipulate Mayuri.

The scientist then activates something, having altered the structure of his nerves and muscles, thwarting the Quincy’s attack as the chapter ends with him saying it won’t be that easy.

Toriko 334

We’re told about Yuda’s experience as a chef, Condor shocked that his Full Course doesn’t have a capture level creature above 20. But he responds that the Full Course is much more individual in nature.

Suddenly, the two are split, two halves of the bubble on two sides of a seesaw suspended over the Soul Furnace. The challenge is to cook as quickly as possible or fall into the flames.

The fire is so powerful, it draws in a referee, revealing that it sucks out your vitality.

Condor thinks this speed focused match is unfair to the others, utilizing Warp Space, which he showed before to use Knocking on the Leafish. The announcer explains that the stage is within this varied gravity, so they must prepare it as they’re being assaulted with the myriad directions of force.

We see Yuda analyzing the Leafish, noticing it has medicinal leaves for scales that preserve the meat. But as he’s doing this, Condor has already made progress, shifting the balance in his favor.

But Yuda is unfazed by this, having experienced much challenge in his 100+ years. He utilizes a technique to enhance his vitality, flashing back to his past as Condor taunts him.

He was told by his master to travel, meeting a boy who was searching for a Medicinal Cow. After killing it, he traveled to the boy’s village, discovering everyone was gravely ill. He tried to make a medicine for them, but the children would eat it because of its bitter flavor.

Zen, the boy Yuda saved, says he’s created a great Full Course, but it tastes terrible. He says that he and the Medicinal Chef should form a combo

Suddenly, Zen coughs up blood, dying because of a mistake Yuda made in preparation that was only a millimeter difference. He mourns this failure, taking Zen’s Full Course and using the advice of his master to focus his skills further after experiencing this terrible incident because of his overconfidence. He made a name for himself with this Full Course and became a Medicinal Chef who cooked tasty food that was also healthy.

In the present, we see that Yuda has analyzed the Leafish’s scales, finding that there are multiple layers he must cut. He starts to prepare them, but the scale starts to shift downward even further, Condor already having prepared his Leafish.

But then the scale shifts back, Yuda revealing he was cutting the space so that he maintained the environment for the Leafish, but everything else was directed upwards, keeping him safe.

He explains that the preparation of the stage is as important as doing so for the food, Condor falling into the Soul Furnace as Yuda comments that his 3000 years of confidence created a massive mistake and that the precision required for cutting the space was 1 millimeter difference.

Fairy Tail 447

Azir isn’t taken down by Natsu’s punch, but he’s impressed at its power. He blasts them with sand, avoiding Gray’s freezing ability by drying out the ice, grabbing everyone.

Makarov manages to knock the Spriggan away and grab the others, pulling them to safety. He says he won’t let Azir hurt his children, the mage of Alvareth thinking he’s overestimating how powerful he is.

Azir summons a massive wave of sand to consume everything, but before it strikes the group, Laxus appears, having blasted it away with a lightning bolt. Gajeel’s group is with them as well, Mest told to teleport them up to their flying boat, customized for Dragon Slayers.

The sand mage tries to attack the group as it leaves, but Laxus strikes him with a massive lightning attack that likely would kill him.

But it turns out August saved Azir from the attack with a barrier, Azir a bit irritated that he was thought to be in danger from the Lightning Dragon Slayer’s power

The chapter ends as Makarov expresses how happy he is that everyone worked together to help him, everyone similarly emotional.
