Boku no Hero Academia 52

Deku is thinking to himself he might be one of the only people who’s pieced together the connection that may exist between the Hero Killer and the Villain Alliance, as well as that Iida might’ve gone here to fight Stain.

The young Hero figured out where Stain might be by remembering that most of his victims were found in back alleys, so he looked around for some near the center of the action.

Iida tells Deku he can’t move after Stain slashed him, connecting it back to his Quirk. He also says that his friend shouldn’t be here, since he has nothing to do with this.

Stain comments that even if Deku is doing something admirable, he still has to kill Iida and if Deku gets in his way, he’s a target as well.

Deku thinks Stain is far different than Shigaraki’s Villain Alliance, more like a murderer than a pure criminal. But he still tells Iida that he can’t leave, since it’s his duty as a Hero.

He rushes in to get rid of Stain’s knives in the pouches on his body, managing to dodge the Hero Killer’s slash with one of the blades.

Deku uses a similar technique he did against Gran Torino, striking from above as Stain slashes at him from behind.

The punch seems to connect, but Stain’s Quirk still activates, Deku figuring out it must be blood that initiates the power.

Stain comments that Deku is more impressive than the others, able to predict his attack pattern, so he’ll let him live, since it seems the attack wasn’t as powerful as it could be with 100% power.

As he goes to kill Iida the chapter concludes as Todoroki arrives on the scene, having gotten information from Deku’s text to him a few pages back before he started to attack Stain.

World Trigger 110

Yuiga is demanding that they have a fair fight, thinking it’s cruel to make him fight a B Rank with the possibility of losing 100 times.

But it turns out he was just being overdramatic, his skills evident as he beats Osamu 8-2 in their first match. Osamu demands to fight more, thinking he has a chance if he can get out of the habit of tensing up when he’s trying to land a hit with the tactics Arashiyama and Karasuma taught him.

Afterwards, Karasuma explains to Osamu how Yuiga became A Rank. Turns out he’s the son of the biggest sponsor for Border, so he got into A Rank by nepotism, which backfired on him slightly, since he had to work to get his skills up to par.

The next day, it turns out to be Chika’s birthday, but she reveals that she told Yuzuru that she can’t shoot, meaning she may be targeted by his squad’s members in their upcoming match.

Meanwhile, Azuma squad is strategizing on how to beat Ninomiya and Kageura, the top 2 B Rank squads. The factor of luck with placement is more random with 4 squads instead of 3.

The team thinks that since there aren’t many others who use Ranged Triggers in the other teams, they should try to pick a map that’s more advantageous to Attackers. Azuma will be used as a sort of pawn to draw out dangerous elements.

They continue their strategizing as we start a time skip to the day of the match. We also see Kageura watching a log of Tamakoma’s last few matches, his teammates amazed and Yuzuru thinking he should watch a log as well.

Osamu has barely gotten to half of the matches he needed to win for Izumi to teach him composite shots, but he’s gained some experience in regards to fighting someone stronger than him, so he’s still benefitted from the training regardless.

The day of the match starts as Arashiyama’s Operator as well as Kako and Kazama squad’s captains are doing the play by play, also exchanging Valentine’s chocolate, since it’s February 14th.

The chapter ends as we see that Azuma squad has chosen Cityscape B and the weather pattern appears to be snow.

Seven Deadly Sins 134

Meliodas and King continue fighting, Gilthunder and others outside confused as to why this is happening. The Sin of Wrath says King shouldn’t have to ask this, since he’d be willing to fight King if he attacked any of his friends including Elizabeth.

But King pushes the issue as Meliodas grabs his ash stick. King, however, utilizes a special power, causing a huge wound to open up at his shoulder, disabling him.

The Sin of Sloth says that they’re not unjustified in being suspicious of him, since he knows about the Ten Commandments and has already shown himself to have demonic abilities.

Everyone outside is stunned at Meliodas’ injury, Merlin explaining that this is the nature of King’s ability Disaster, able to control the strength of life or death in someone, having applied it long ago to Cain, increasing the intensity of his rheumatism to disable him. This explains how he was able to control plants so well, since it’s connected directly to them.

Meliodas still won’t fight, but as King tries to worsen the wound, Meliodas uses Full Counter, which is ineffective on King at first glance.

The Half Demon Knight asks if King is really the Fairy King, since he remembers the other ones, who had prominent wings. King responds by using Disaster to concentrate the water in the ash staff and manipulate the droplet like a ball to strike and deal immense damage.

Meliodas takes the strategy, applying his power in a single spot by focus as well, releasing an orb of darkness.

But Jenna stops them both, King saying that he’ll accept Meliodas for now, since Diane and Ban both trust him. Meliodas responds that he could tell him everything, but he thinks the Fairy wouldn’t believe him. So until then, King says he’ll be vigilant as to his Captain’s potential betrayal.

The two come out as Jenna berates them for fighting, King responding as if the Disaster turned back on him is suddenly reacting somehow.

Meliodas asks if he’s proven he can have his power back, Jenna accepting him as worthy, summoning the giant Goddess Amber with his power in it.

Releasing it, the area is covered in a shroud of darkness. The giant ball clashes into Meliodas, the Ten Commandments reacting as the power returns to him, the chapter concluding on Meliodas’ slightly new appearance, mostly with his eyes.

One Piece 795

Isshou and Maynard roll a die to decide if they’ll pursue Luffy, but have to wait. The Marine tells the Admiral that he should take this chance, but Isshou maintains that he must go as the die rolls.

Back at Dressrosa, everyone’s thankful to Luffy, but disappointed they can’t voice their gratitude in person. Rebecca asks Riku where Luffy and Kyros are, Riku telling her they’ll return tomorrow. He also asks her if she’s ready to become the princess if he resumes his position as king, shocking the gladiator.

Meanwhile, Sanji’s group has gotten away from Big Mam, but landed on an unknown island with Caesar in tow. They meet up with a native who warns them of an Eruption Rain, which turns out to be a huge drop of water that pulls them away in the torrent.

After they get out of the water, they’re attacked by the native from before, Brook managing to stop his attack while Sanji knocks him away with Diable Mouton Shot. An ally, who happens to be a pretty lady, catches Sanji’s eye, the group retreating with the defeated fighter called Sheepshead in tow.

We see one of the animal themed natives watching the group as Chopper calls them from below, the girl apparently the cause of why the group came to this island.

The scene shifts yet again to where Eustass’s group is, something crashing into the ground in the shape of a person with horns.

We see that they fell from a Sky Island where Urouge was recovering, the horned man apparently trying to kill himself. He had suffered many defeats and was captured many more times by the Marines, even given the death sentence 40 times.

The man, who turns out to be Kaidou of the Yonkou, is seemingly unkillable, even through his own efforts. The chapter concludes as we see him call out to Doflamingo, desiring a war to reshape the world to something less boring in his eyes.

Bleach 637

Mayuri tries to justify his stabbing of Kenpachi, who’s not able to do much in response to the Soul Reaper paralyzing him with Ashisogi Jizou.

He’s impressed that Kenpachi can still move his eyes, saying that this was a good experience to show him that he can still improve his Zanpakutou’s abilities. Ikkaku is enraged that Mayuri essentially provoked Kenpachi into attacking so he could use him as a guinea pig for the fight in order to figure out Pernidas’ abilities. Yumichika also chimes in, thinking Mayuri wanted this fight all to himself, that Kenpachi would just be an interference.

Nemu agrees as we return to the fight proper, suggesting she is much more an extension of Mayuri than much of an individual in many respects.

Mayuri comments to Pernidas that it was because of Kenpachi’s sacrifice that he could figure out the Quincy’s abilities, noting how sacrifice is a requisite for progress in everything, battles no exception.

The meticulous Soul Reaper then says that in order to be respectful to such a sacrifice, he ought to donate his body to him for experimentation, which brings out a reaction in the Quincy.

It’s revealed as he bursts out of his cloak that his true form is like a giant left hand, Mayuri deducing it’s the Left Arm of the Soul King, since the reiatsu is remarkably similar to Ukitake when he utilized Mimihagi. It even has the multiple pupils in the eyes that Juhabach has.

Pernidas tries to attack Mayuri again, but he puts up a shield, still curious about why Juhabach thought the left arm was only worthy to be a guardian, even in the higher rankings of the Stern Ritter.

Ikkaku tells him he needs to retreat, but Mayuri says the bald Soul Reaper can’t seem to comprehend how happy he is, having found this new species that he has an opportunity to study to his heart’s content.

The chapter ends as Pernidas insists his name is not Left Arm of the Soul King, initiating even greater power to fight Mayuri.

Toriko 333

We’re told by Condor that Asarudy is looking for a chef, but they don’t seem to be in the group of 5 challenging them. But we see that Asarudy (who was one of the 5 Ten Shell chefs we were told about a few chapters ago) is still intimidated by them, overwhelmed by some presence that feels like he’s being consumed by a blackness.

As they return to reality, Maymay, the oldest chef, wonders if he’s already seen the outcome of the battle, since Asarudy reads about 10000 books a year. But as Condor thinks they’re small fry, Asarudy responds that they’re dangerous and that they may end up in the Soul Furnace if they’re not careful, since this isn’t a story, it’s reality.

We see a Casket Crab appear, holding an extinct ingredient from the Back Channel. This makes it a fair match, since neither side has seen it before.

The match starts as the stadium is pulled up and suspended over a giant furnace, the Soul Furnace spoken of before. The flames that burn are the Food Sentiment of hungry Food Spirits whose appetites power it.

The Casket Crab releases the first round’s ingredient, a Leafish, which lived in the Multi Gravity Valley of Area 5. It’s not only difficult to prepare, but also to catch.

Yuda volunteers to take it on, getting a special knife from Melk the 2nd

Condor leaps into the bubble that surrounds the Leafish, but finds that the concept of gravity doesn’t entirely apply. He manages to right himself with his experience in the Back Channel and uses Knocking to capture the Leafish.

Yuda shows that he’s captured the Leafish as well, reflecting his great skill even though he’s much younger than Condor by comparison, who’s around 3000 years old, while Yuda is only 124.

The chapter ends as they square off, the cooking about to begin next time.

Fairy Tail 446

Makarov explains that Zeref is the Emperor Spriggan of Alvareth. Everyone’s happy that he’s safe, but he’s disappointed in himself for believing that Arakitashia would engage in negotiations when they never intended to from the start.

But the others say that his dissolving the guild helped them grow as individuals and Erza says that his intention was good, so he cannot consider his actions useless.

The group concludes they need to get out of here, Mest saying he only has enough energy to teleport everyone one more time and he wants to wait to use it to get to Sorano’s submarine.

But suddenly, Azir appears, saying that he can’t let Makarov get away, having tracked him with sand based magic. The guild master tells Fairy Tail to retreat, since he’s too strong for them.

Charle’s prepared a magic transport to get away, Erza throwing a rain of blades at Azir to cover their escape. But as the group gets away, we see that Azir rendered the swords useless, turning them to sand as they strike him.

The group thinks they might’ve gotten away with a burst of speed from the car, but they look behind them to see a giant sand monster created by Azir.

Lucy and Gray move to the top of the car to counterattack, Gray utilizing his Demon Slayer magic and Lucy initiating the Sagittarius Star Dress form.

Gray uses Silver World to freeze the monster, but Azir gets out and throws a wave of sand that transforms into monsters. Lucy strikes multiple enemies with her arrows, but Azir then initiates the Ant Lion Pit, assimilating into the sand and creating a pit that sucks them in.

The Spriggan tells them no one has escaped from this pit and that he’s killed so many people, they’ll just be more notches on his belt. He even taunts them by saying Ishgar has been abandoned by the gods and that Alvareth will take over.

The chapter ends as Natsu blasts everyone out with his magic, saying that Fairy Tail will protect Ishgar, punching Azir.
