World Trigger 108

Chika and Izuho are amazed at how skilled Isami and Yuzuru are as Snipers, Yuzuru a bit embarrassed. Yuzuru turns out to be Chika and Izuho’s age, not actually aware of Chika’s amazing Trion levels.

They ask if Yuzuru is Isami’s disciple, Isami saying yes, but Yuzuru insisting he only recognizes Hatohara as his mentor.

Narasaka and Akane leave, while Isami continues to train with Izuho, Natsume and Yuzuru.

Chika asks Yuzuru about Hatohara, the Sniper saying his mentor was sidelined (even though we know she’s in the Neighbor world unofficially)

He explains that she was approved for the expedition team, but was then rejected because, like Chika, she couldn’t shoot people.

However, Yuzuru thinks that Hatohara was great, since she was precise enough to shoot the opponent’s weapons. Border regarded her as useless in their estimation because of that, but her skills were still top notch according to her student. Chika sympathizes, since she’s like that as well in her own way.

The two figure out they’re fighting in the next B Rank wars, the scene shifting to Yuma speaking with Murakami.

We find out that, along with Tachikawa, Kazama and Konami, Kageura, who’s ranked #20 as an Attacker, is one of the few people that is dangerous enough to overwhelm even his Side Effect’s ability to improve.

Murakami explains that Kageura’s team is similar to Osamu’s, but focuses more on attacking.  They were as high as A Rank 6, but they’re now in the top 2 levels of B Rank. Yuma’s curious why Kageura’s only #20 in points, Murakami saying he’ll figure it out when he meets him.

We see Kageura in the training room, some other agents commenting on how he got 8000 points confiscated and is like a monster, fighting to the top with violence. He notices, calling them over, but then dismissing them because it’s too much trouble after they note how much of a fan they are of him (even though it’s a lie).

The two leave, communicating with their Trigger bodies rather than talking out loud, but as they look back at Kageura with dismissive glances, he destroys their Trion bodies with a single attack.

He acts like he didn’t do anything, intimidating them into saying nothing happened even though fighting outside of Mock Battles violates regulations.

Murakami warns Yuma about him, the Neighbor wondering how he could attack with Scorpion from that far away as the chapter ends on his face.

World Trigger is on break next week.

Boku no Hero Academia 49

Gran Torino says that this training will show how much Deku has progressed since the Sports Festival, setting a time limit of 3 minutes to start out. The Hero starts out moving with his speed again, catching Deku off guard and saying that he’s still not fast enough to match up to All Might.

Deku jumps under a couch, Gran Torino moving to attack. But he’s surprised as Deku punches the couch up to disrupt his movement. He almost lands a hit, but it seems like Gran Torino uses him as a point to kick off and get behind him.

Instead of merely turning around to strike, Deku jumps horizontally and almost strikes again, but Gran Torino dodges, knocking him down as his three minutes run out.

Even though he failed, Deku is complimented at how much he improved from their first fight. And it turns out in that last attack, Deku managed to cut Gran Torino slightly, meaning his progress is getting better, analyzing movements and taking advantage of vulnerable points.

Meanwhile we see Stain has pinned Shigaraki, Black Mist somehow also unable to move from where he is. As Stain still comments on how the young Villain lacks any real conviction, Shigaraki grabs his sword, crumbling it with his Quirk. He says that he doesn’t need that; all he desires is to destroy the society that idolizes All Might so much.

Stain is pushed back, saying that while they disagree on some things, they share a common goal of destroying the peace of the world. He was testing Shigaraki by putting him in a situation where he’d show his true self and reveal the potential he possessed to gain a creed like Stain has.

The group comes to a temporary agreement, Stain wanting to be sent back to Hosu, where has unfinished business.

The chapter concludes as we see Iida, who’s concluded that Stain will return here, since he’s normally taken out multiple Heroes and his brother Ingenium is the only one so far to have fallen. He’s resolved to get his revenge on this Villain, his expression darker than before.

Seven Deadly Sins 131

Meliodas is warned by Zenali that he could die if he keeps doing this trial, but he says he has to overcome it to protect his friends.

We see Meliodas and Liz, chasing a werewolf as the scene shifts back to reality.

Elizabeth is told by Zenali about the nature of the trial, repeatedly seeing the death of his beloved and being forced to reign in his emotions so he can properly utilize his power.

Meliodas thinks to himself that he should be able to do this, that all he has to do is forget about Liz. But he can’t forget the person he spent such important time with and the bond they created, still unable to resist his rage bubbling up at each moment of her death.

Elizabeth stops Zaneli before she forces him out again, saying that she believes Meliodas can finish this trial.

Meliodas thinks to himself that if he hadn’t met Liz, he wouldn’t have experienced such happy times. So he finally resolves to himself that he cannot let himself lose such precious people again, finally controlling his rage and accepting Liz’s death.

Coming out of the trance, Zenali is amazed, Melidoas saying that what’s important is in his heart, leaving us with that as we shift scenes.

King and the others are being taken by Jenna to a cave where Druids train so they can become stronger as well. They’re shocked to see Hendricksen coming out, but he faints as Jenna tells King to restrain himself, since he’s become good again.

The chapter ends as we also see that Griamore, Howzer and Gilthunder have also been training and are much more beat up than Hendricksen was.

Magi 273

We see Kouen reporting to Aladdin about the status of the war at Konan Plains. He comments that Aladdin seems to have lost his will to do anything after Alibaba’s seeming death.

The war at Magnostadt and this one were both between parties that had nothing to do with him, Aladdin disagreeing with that. But more importantly, he’s still confused as to whether Kouen’s plan of unifying the world will work and whether Hakuryuu really has to do this at all.

Back at the Kou Empire civil war, Hakuryuu is still exhausted, his magoi all but drained. Kougyoku and Kouha arrive, preparing their Extreme Magic.

Everyone on Hakuryuu’s side is despairing, Nanaumi commenting that there’s still a chance because her true master is assisting Hakuryuu, which the King Candidate agrees with.

Nanaumi’s master appears, on a wave of water. We find out that they’re from a country called Kina and have a code of ethics that doesn’t let them harm women, thinking both Kouha and Kougyoku are female.

Kouha and Kougyoku wonder if this is the third country Koumei spoke of. Koumei had predicted this, ordering them to start sending Dungeon monsters through his teleportation gates to attack the main army of Kina to the east.  The country used to be loyal to Kou, but they’ve severed relations years ago. Koumei thinks they alone cannot possibly shift the tide of this battle.

Suddenly, Koumei is told that there’s an army 10,000 strong that’s attacking their rear flank. It’s a foreign army, turning out to be that of the Sasan Kingdom, ruled by Darius, who we saw in the Magnostadt war’s conclusion.

The chapter ends as we find out they’re both in the Seven Seas Alliance, sent there under Sinbad’s orders to aid Hakuryuu, it would seem.

Bleach 634

Bazz B is knocked outside by Jugo, who tells him to give up, since this isn’t going to provide anything for Juhabach.

But the Heat doesn’t care, initiating Burner Finger 4, creating the blade we saw a while ago and slashing at Jugo. He dodges, a giant pillar cut down by the attack as Jugo calls him by his true name: Buzzard Black.

We flashback to 3 years later, Jugo not taking any provocation from Bazz B, since fights amongst Stern Ritter are forbidden to the point of punishment by death.

Vice Captain Hubert wonders if Jugo is able to take on the position of Captain, even threatening to fight Bazz B. But Jugo stops him by saying that even if Juhabach doesn’t see it, he will, always vigilant.

Bazz B resents his friend, having been promoted so quickly when he left with Juhabach. But now he won’t even fight him, Bazz B feeling cheated and betrayed.

In the present, we see that Jugo has chopped off the Heat’s arm, but Bazz B utilizes the full power of his ability with the other arm. However, Jugo has already dodged and dealt a fatal blow to the Stern Ritter.

Bazz B manages to stand up, grabbing at Jugo’s cloak, saying that he didn’t care about losing, but he didn’t think it’d be so uneventful when it happened, collapsing on the ground.

The chapter ends as Jugo leaves his friend behind to die, Bazz B flashing back to when they started their training and passing on.

One Piece 793

Riku tells Fujitora to get up, but realizes that his plan was to do this in order to save face for the World Government, since he couldn’t attack a Shichibukai and expect to maintain the people’s trust, since it was their system that allowed Doflamingo to run wild.

Meanwhile, Kyros thanks the Tontatta, dissolving the “army” since their mission is complete.

Riku tells Tank to shelter the pirates and others that fought Doflamingo, since the Marines will likely try to capture them.

Back at Mariejois, Akainu is furious at the Gorousei for letting Ciper Pol spread the lies about Doflamingo abandoning his position. They say that he has no room to complain, since the Marines are merely the outward representation of the World Government and there are aspects that he is not privy to knowing.

We also find out that Aokiji/Kuzan has joined Blackbeard, shifting the balance of power even more against the World Government and Marines.

A soldier reports in about the situation of Dressrosa and the alliance of Luffy and Law. The news spreads quickly across the world, the Supernova Generation reacting with varying degrees of shock, while many of Doflamingo’s associates are left without their weapons, SMILE or Devil Fruits.

Meanwhile, Kidd, Apoo and Hawkins’ alliance is impressed at Luffy and Law’s actions, concluding that they’re likely targeting Kaidou next, while they reveal their objective is to take down Shanks.

Fujitora is scolded by Akainu, since he’s seen as a powerful representative for them. Admitting their faults is inconvenient to the government’s agenda, so Fujitora was arguably not saving face at all, but bringing up the World Government’s flaws to the forefront.

Elsewhere, Smoker, after viewing the news, comments that this takes him back to his frustration at how Luffy saved Alabasta from Crocodile, but the World Government twisted it to seem like it was the Marine’s actions.

Tashigi and Smoker are heading to Dr. Vegapunk’s laboratory with the kids from Punk Hazard.

The chapter ends as Akainu, frustrated at how the reputation of the Marines has been sullied in his mind, tells Fujitora that until he brings him Luffy and Law, he is not allowed into any Marine building, the Admiral agreeing in principle, since he’s apparently wanted to sever ties with them anyway.

Toriko 330

The people in Blue Grill are impressed at Komatsu’s group, all skilled chefs from Human World.

Everyone is eating at a 7 Shell restaurant, the Shells similar to Stars in ranking for a Human World restaurant.

It turns out they have land ecosystems here as well as a general government and societal structure. The population is 500 million, way more than the present American population.

Jiji explains that the Food Spirits are what have allowed Blue Grill’s civilization to thrive as much as it has, saying they’ll understand once night falls.

Komatsu meets a kid after coming out of the bathroom, though he isn’t impressed by the chef’s mere appearance.

The kid shows off a talisman he has called an Urchive, that’s supposedly connected to the evil spirits that come out at night.

But since Komatsu doesn’t have one, the two have to run away as they start to appear with night coming.

Chinchin and the others meet up with some of the higher ranked chefs in Blue Grill, who explain that they’re relatively safe here, but the Back Channel is much more dangerous, especially since you can’t get there without great cooking skills.

The challenge is to beat the 5 “10 Shells” of Blue Grill in a match to show they are adequately prepared for the challenge of the Back Channel.

We see them, the chapter concluding as Komatsu and Chanko are running from the spirits.

Fairy Tail 443

The Fairy Tail girls in Gajeel’s group are in a hot spring, Juvia initially embarrassed, but tricked by Levy into being more open by saying Gray’s in the bath. It turns out they found this place because of Gajeel, though Ichiya is also in the bath with the men, since Blue Pegasus owns it.

We find out Laxus and the Thunder God Tribe have joined Blue Pegasus in Fairy Tail’s absence, though Gajeel wanted it to be a surprise.

Ichiya starts acting bizarre as always and a series of accidents have Gajeel crash into the women’s side of the bath, landing on Levy’s chest. Juvia’s jealous of this, wanting it to happen to her and Gray.

The scene shifts back to Natsu’s group, Brandish apparently wanting some of the Star Mango Gelato that the man was selling before his stand was destroyed by the fighting. She’s about to go home, but her assistant says they might be communicating with a spy.

Brandish doesn’t care, asking Marin to return Lucy and Erza. He protests, Brandish unleashing her magic which causes huge tremors in the earth. Happy, Charle and Wendy fly away, but find that they cannot get away. It turns out that Brandish used powerful earth manipulation magic, shifting the island into the air on a pillar.

Marin reminds Brandish that they were supposed to come back with information and the spy, so they need something to bring to their superiors. Brandish still doesn’t care, but Natsu tells her that he can’t forgive them hurting one of his friends.

In exchange, Brandish seemingly destroys Marin with a gesture, thinking that will make them even, since she doesn’t want to waste her time on something she finds tedious. She threatens them by saying they shouldn’t even try to attack Alvareth, since there are others just as powerful as her. Makarov is confirmed to be alive as well.

Brandish then leaves after seemingly shrinking the island, her magic apparently connected to earth manipulation on a grand scale, saying that this is their last warning, the chapter ending on her departure.
