Toriko seems to be on an unexpected
break this week, they didn’t announce it in the last chapter
Naruto 700 +10
We resume where we left off with Sarada
utilizing her Sharingan to imitate Sakura’s techniques taught by Tsunade,
knocking away the Shin clones.
One of the Shins tries to attack
Naruto, but he’s gotten serious, blocking it with a hand shielded in Kurama’s
chakra. The Kyuubi’s presence intimidates the Uchiha clone into submission.
Sasuke wonders what they’re going to do
with them, Naruto suggesting they put them in a school they’ve been developing
for orphaned shinobi. Sasuke voices a concern of them having Sharingan and
being dangerous, but Naruto responds that they’re still fresh as children and
can be molded.
Chouchou compliments Sarada on her power,
Sakura coming up and scolding her child for making her worry so much.
The medical ninja confirms that Sarada
is her child, Shizune telling her about Sarada’s concerns. The Uchiha child
says she doesn’t care if they’re not related, asking Sasuke if his and Sakura’s
hearts are connected. Sasuke says they are, especially because of Sarada’s
presence.
Back at Konoha, we see Kabuto is the
headmaster of the orphanage, making it clear to the Shins that this should be
seen as their new home.
Chouchou is frustrated that she didn’t
find her father, but she sees someone talking with Ino, not realizing it’s
Chouji after utilizing the Akimichi clan technique that allowed him to beat
Jiroubou back in the original series.
Chouji’s daughter insists they train as soon as possible, wanting to
look like that eventually.
Ino is happy to see Sasuke, but Sarada
is more protective of her father, thinking Ino is trying to move in on him.
Sasuke is leaving again, after spending
some time with Sarada and Sakura. He touches Sarada’s forehead, saying that
he’ll be back, the daughter and mother connecting with that shared experience.
Bolt thanks Sarada for delivering the
bento, Sarada responding that it was thanks to that that she was able to find
out what she really wanted to do as a shinobi. She wants to become Hokage, Bolt
thinking that’s silly.
Meanwhile, Karin is talking to
Suigetsu, confirming she isn’t Sarada’s mother, since she delivered her. The
umbilical cord was from Sakura, since she had to give birth at the hideout,
apparently following Sasuke insistently.
Karin says that she only cares about
Sasuke being happy, Suigetsu thinking that she’s given up on trying to get with
Sasuke. She tells Suigetsu to give Sarada a new pair of glasses.
The chapter ends as we see Sarada
smiling and the picture of her, Sasuke and Sakura as a family taken recently.
This concludes Naruto Gaiden: was
pretty good, though, like the ending of the actual series, seems to be founded
on a tie in to a movie, which makes it disappointing compared to adapting it
afterwards from a manga version.
World Trigger 107
While Yuma is going to Solo Rank Wars
and Chika to a joint Sniper practice session, Osamu is going to an A Rank
strategy room.
Arashiyama squad is already waiting for
him, actually doing paperwork for another Border enlistment ceremony, since
with Osamu revealing the away missions that Border did, there have been more
applications than normal, so they have to do it once every month instead of
every 4.
The strategy meeting begins, Osamu
explaining that he wants to score points for himself rather than relying on
Kuga in their strategies. But Arashiyama explains that Shooter/Gunner Triggers aren’t
always able to do that, since they’re weaker in power than Attacker and Sniper
Triggers.
The structure of a Trion bullet expends
more with each aspect: power, range and speed, while Attacker Triggers can
focus the Trion on power. And Shields can help, but that expends more Trion as
well, meaning Nasu would’ve had difficulty beating Yuma or Kou on her own
without support from Kumagai and Akane.
But Osamu notes that they do have an
advantage in long distance attacks, so they can get a better sense of the
overall state of the battlefield. Like Izumi, a Shooter can direct opponents
and corner them so Attackers or Snipers can score points with their assistance
They say that Osamu might be a bit
early to learn Shooter tactics, but they’ll train him with Arashiyama and
Tokieda’s help.
Meanwhile, Izuho and Chika are looking
for a spot to put their stuff, a Sniper saying they can use his bench, even
though someone else’s stuff is there already. Izuho is impressed at Chika’s
progress to B Rank, wondering if she needs to find a mentor like the C Ranker
has.
Akane from Nasu squad sees the cat
that’s apparently grown fond of Izuho, wondering if she can pet it. The cat
then jumps on Isami from Fuyushima Squad’s head, surprising everyone.
Everyone starts the training session,
everyone improving, but Narasaka still at the top, perfect in hitting the
target consistently without missing the initial hole at all.
But we see that Toma was intentionally
not seeking out points, showing off his creativity with various pictures from
the shots he fired. And Narasaka says points don’t always matter when you have
natural talent, the chapter ending on revealing the name of the mysterious
Sniper from before, Yuzuru Ema from Kageura Squad, which Osamu’s group is going
up against.
Boku no Hero Academia 48
We see Bakugou meeting with the Hero
who nominated him, one of the top 5 most popular, Best Jeanist (which has the
same translation from Viz, meaning the concept is a bit vague to me), while
Kirishima and Tetsutetsu are both under Force Kind, who nominated them both.
Ochako is getting all the basics
explained to her about how Heroes operate, paid through a sort of commission by
the authorities and paid by the government, as explained previously by Force
Kind.
Uwabami, the Snake Heroine, has taken
in Momo and another girl I’m not sure who is. She explains that Heroes can take
side jobs, using their popularity to make extra money besides Hero duties,
going to film a commercial as she leaves the girls to get acquainted with each
other.
Deku leaves the house as Gran Torino
has fallen asleep, trying to train more about how to use his power in a way
that’s more natural, rather than mechanical, treating it as an extension of
himself and not something outside himself.
He tries to wall jump, but is still
having difficulty with the focus on each part of his body and utilizing the
force.
The next day, Deku is a bit beaten up,
Gran Torino saying that it’ll be harder for him compared to All Might, who took
to the Quirk naturally. He also had more motivation, since it seems like the
predecessor has passed away, but as they pick up an order from the front door,
Gran Torino says that All Might is keeping something from Deku. This makes me
think that they had a difference of opinion or such and aren’t friends anymore,
but that he’s the previous possessor of All For One before Toshinori
The microwave to replace the one from
yesterday that Gran Torino broke is used to heat up some taiyaki. Deku thinks
that the major issue is trying to adjust to the feeling of having had a quirk
for years when he’s barely had it half a year.
As Gran Torino starts to eat the
taiyaki, he notes that it’s cold, since Deku didn’t put the plate in properly,
unable to rotate and properly heat the whole thing.
Deku has a revelation, seeing the
taiyaki as representative of his own state. He realizes that instead of doing
it in a selective manner, he has to channel the power through his whole body
and maintain that uniformly.
The chapter concludes as Gran Torino is
ready to test Deku, though he wonders if he can move in that state, since it’s
still new to him.
Seven Deadly Sins 130
Merlin explains that she sealed away
Meliodas’ power because it was too dangerous. The Sin of Wrath had to put all
his effort into keeping it in check.
Hawk observes that Meliodas had lost
control before, but the Sin of Gluttony says that was nothing compared to his
full power he originally had.
He almost lost control 10 years ago,
but that’s when Merlin took it and entrusted the power to the Druids to keep
sealed away, since otherwise Liones would’ve been wiped off the map just as
Danafor was. But with the threat of the
Ten Commandments, they desperately need that power more than ever.
Elizabeth is confused about what’s happening,
Zaneli telling her not to interfere. The test is to determine whether
Meliodas’s heart is truly ready to accept the power.
Elizabeth’s trial, on the other hand,
is to use her healing powers to cure a flower of a disease, since her abilities
must be of a greater scale to aid in the war.
Meliodas is still in slight shock at
the trial’s realness, even groping Liz. Wandle, the parrot we saw in an extra
chapter, is also there.
The day progresses and as Meliodas
starts to get used to it all, we suddenly see the scene has changed, Liz and
Wandle dead, everyone around them slaughtered. Meliodas then is consumed by his
rage and everything resets, the true nature of the trial now revealed as an
endless loop unless he can control his emotions.
Elizabeth is worried as Meliodas reacts
similarly in the real world, but Zaneli tells her to focus on her own trial.
Zaneli thinks to herself the whole point of this is for Meliodas to learn to
control his rage, so that with the granting of his strength, he won’t go berserk
again.
He keeps repeating the events, Zaneli
eventually taking him out of it, since it would eventually kill him to
continue. Elizabeth consoles him as he punches the ground in anger, saying he’s
doing so much for everyone else.
Meliodas is inspired by Elizabeth to
try once more, now motivated to work harder to control himself to protect those
precious to him, the chapter concluding on his new resolve.
Magi 271-272
Hakuryuu’s
troops keep pressing forward in spite of the fire, but we see Koumei’s army
start to throw giant stone blocks at them, teleported by Dantalion.
It turns out
the encirclement strategy is supplanted by using the stones to create a furnace
trap to sap the troop’s energy to fight.
In the
meantime, Kougyoku and Kouha leave to find Hakuryuu, since he’s guarded by
fewer soldiers now.
Hakuryuu’s
generals are frustrated at how Koumei has stopped most of their forces dead,
but Nanaumi, Hakuryuu’s new ally, comments that Koumei has wasted much magoi in
order to stop everyone without killing them, his naivete predicted as his downfall
by the Kou traitor
Kougyoku
notes how Koumei had planned to end this battle with as few casualties as
possible, since they would’ve won with sheer numbers, but still desired a
peaceful conclusion.
Koubun,
Kougyoku’s advisor, is following her, thinking that they’ll be promoted if they
assist her.
But suddenly
Seiryuu and Kokuhyou, Hakuryuu’s main two generals, come in and push back Kouha
with powerful attacks. They’re much bigger than before, easily twice their
original height and with enhancements from Hakuryuu, possibly from the Dungeon.
Kougyoku
wonders if they’ve been manipulated as well with Belial, but the generals say
they chose to follow Hakuryuu freely.
Someone says
that Kougyoku and Kouha can just use their Extreme Magic and defeat them
easily, but Koubun reminds them that the plan is to have their magoi as full as
possible before they fight Hakuryuu, so they have to fight more carefully here
and defeat them without expending too much energy. The chapter ends on this
threat, setting up a very exciting battle.
The next
chapter begins as we see Seiryuu and Kokuhyou invoke the power of Belial and
Zagan, each of them having become part of Hakuryuu’s Household and assimilating
with their Household Vessels.
Kouha says
that’s reckless, but the two generals comment that they’ve done nothing for so
long, so they should be willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of
Hakuryuu, who worked so hard to fight against the corruption.
Kouha’s
Household starts to fight them as Seiryuu utilizes Belial’s power to turn the
army against each other, but Kokuhyou uses Zagan’s power to drain the magoi
from some of the magicians.
Kougyoku
wonders how she can fight seriously without using her magoi, since she intends
to stop them before they kill more of the Household members.
Meanwhile,
Koumei and his strategists are commenting on how Hakuryuu is using their own
strategy against them, trying to expend Kouha and Kougyoku’s magoi through
having them serve as shields to protect the soldiers they value, while Hakuryuu
used his enhanced army as a sacrifice to make Koumei utilize magoi to end the
conflict more peacefully.
But as
Seiryuu and Kokuhyou taunt Kouha and Kougyoku to use their Metal Vessels, Gakukin
and Seishuu appear, saying that they’ll handle them, telling the generals to
move forward as the Households clash.
Koumei notes
to his tacticians that Hakuryuu is alone in this fight, even unable to have a
source of infinite magoi in Judar, his Magi. But in spite of that, they were
taunted by Hakuryuu into this battle of attrition between each side’s use of
magoi.
We see that
Hakuryuu is being aided by what appears to be Al Thamen, getting more magoi
than Koumei expected. But he’s getting pushed to his limits, his artificial arm
unable to move anymore, his artificial legs the next to follow according to
Nanaumi.
She tells him
this is hopeless, since he can’t possibly win against these huge armies. We see
that Hakuryuu’s Metal Vessel is losing power, his artificial arm falling off as
the chapter ends on this seemingly despairing situation.
Bleach 633
Juhabach
emphasizes that Jugram is his other half, the Quincy confused. But the Quincy
King says that he doesn’t need to understand, but just stay by his side as the
leader of the Stern Ritter.
Jugo looks to
Bazz, the Heat resenting the state of things, since he expected both of them to
be in Juhabach’s vanguard and then kill him. But he also expected that he
would’ve been the most likely with his talent.
As Bazz looks
at Jugram with such anger, Juhabach asks for them to prepare a carriage for
him. Jugram questions whether he’s worth to be his right hand man, the soldier
insulted at his questioning of Juhabach’s orders.
Jugram
insists that Bazz B is a more suitable candidate than he, who can’t even make a
bow.
Juhabach
stops the soldier, saying that Jugram is like him, his powers distributed to
him rather than innate.
He explains
that Jugram can only expel his reishi into other things, like Juhabach can
grant pieces of his power and take them back, seeing the two as comrades in
sharing this type of powerlessness in the Quincy arts.
Juhabach even
suggests to Bazz B that the reason his powers kept growing was because of being
in Jugram’s presence and that he should bow to the prodigy who built up his
otherwise impotent abilities.
As the two
leave, Bazz fires a shot at Jugram, who grabs it, the chapter ending as we
return to the present, Jugram slashing Bazz B.
One Piece 792
Sabo is
leaving Burgess, saying he doesn’t need to fight anymore. But the Blackbeard
pirate says that he has something interesting to tell him about what Ace said
after his captain beat him with the Yami Yami Fruit.
He told them
not to tell his brothers, Burgess mocking Ace’s sentiment. Sabo is furious,
grabbing the pirate’s head. Burgess continues to goad the Revolutionary, saying
that he was pathetic to not be able to save Ace with all the influence he had.
Sabo says that he isn’t going to regret anymore, blasting Burgess away with a
Fire Fist of his own as he’s contacted by Koala.
They agree to meet up, arranging for a ship to pick them up.
They agree to meet up, arranging for a ship to pick them up.
Meanwhile, the Marines are capturing the Doflamingo pirates with Seastone, Admiral Isshou telling them to wait for his orders in reporting the situation. Maynard is giving a general report to the other countries, sending someone to take one of the Video Den Den Mushi to Isshou.
King Riku
insists he can’t take the throne, but his people say that they’d rather go down
with him as their ruler than not have one at all.
Even King
Elizabello encourages Riku, saying that he remembers him being a strong willed
sovereign that would stare down all the world to not go to war.
Fujitora
appears, saying that Riku shouldn’t feel responsible for this, bowing before
the king and apologizing on behalf of the World Government, since they were the
ones that created the Shichibukai system that Doflamingo abused.
The chapter
ends as the news starts to spread, the truth of the incident in Dressrosa being
reported across the world.
Fairy Tail 442
People are still in shock at Fairy Tail, disguised as
tourists, have beaten up soldiers. Mest is told by Gray to go with Wendy,
Charle, Happy and the kid they saved to find the informant.
Everyone wraps up the conflict by easily defeating all the
guards, though reinforcements have also been called. Natsu thinks they could
grill the guards for info, but Lucy observes they likely know nothing and they
don’t want to blow their cover this early.
The group stays on alert, though they’ve calmed down
slightly. Talking to a store owner nearby who wants to go to Ishgar, he
explains that he’s somewhat used to fights happening in the area.
But the stand is destroyed by a member of the Brandish Squad
of Alvareth’s Imperial Army, Marin Hollow.
Erza starts to fight him, but it’s revealed that with his
Edicts of Space, Marin prevents any space time related magic from working. Lucy
also uses her Stellar Spirit magic, but both of them are taken away by the
effects of his magic, leaving Gray and Natsu to fight him.
But he shows off that his manipulation of space allows him
to teleport around and be near untouchable. He also has captured Mest, making
things much more complicated than before.
The chapter ends as we see his leader, Brandish, of the
Spriggan Twelve, wanting to get this over with and move on, Gray shocked at her
sheer level of magic power.
