Now Seven Deady Sins is taking a
break, though this time of year is when manga magazines take a week break
because of how they schedule things. This means Fairy Tail is also taking a
break this week, since they’re in the same magazine.
Next week Weekly Shounen Jump will
technically be on, but the early raws and scanlations we get won’t be on, so I
may have a 2 week compilation to give you as much material as possible, since
we’ll have a couple of official WSJ chapters and unofficial WSM chapters; not
sure about Magi’s status. We’ll likely have a break for it as well in the next
2 weeks.
Hi Fi Cluster 14
Peta is confused as to what is blown
up, since the car is still intact. Shanon turns the car into a stop, Kandera
telling Miri that their brakes aren’t working. The group manages to escape,
Miri a bit shaken that they were in such danger. Peta joins up with them as
they stand off against Shanon.
Suddenly Landscape Mole appears,
Shanon shocked, since it’s too early. Landscape Mole knocks Shanon away, saying
their contract is over, since things have changed with their client. He takes
the Alfred Nobel Hi Fi Loader with him.
Kandera saves Shanon from the near
death fall, who asks why, Kandera responding that it doesn’t matter if the
person is good or bad, he has to save those in danger.
The group, having captured Shanon,
sees a news report, saying that Landscape Mole has put out a terrorist threat
on the parliament building.
Kandera says they need to get there,
since this is likely part of Landscape Mole’s plan with the Alfred Nobel Hi Fi
Loader. Shanon offers them a ride, noting that since his contract with
Landscape Mole is over, he’s open to helping them. As long as he can have fun
in his job, he’s not picky about who he works with. He just wants to be let
free this one time, Kandera agreeing as they get into the car as the chapter
ends.
World Trigger 87
Jin sees Karasawa watching the Rank
Wars, asking him about why he brought Osamu to the press conference. Karasawa
says it’s because he felt Osamu could be better used as an inspiration for
Border than as a scapegoat.
26 people quit Border after the
invasion, but 5 times that applied after the conference, mostly because of the
excitement about an expedition to the Neighborhood. But Karasawa thinks some people were inspired
by Osamu. Karasawa leaves, telling Jin not to feel so down and cheer on Osamu’s
group, Jin saying he can’t move on as quickly.
Back at Tamakoma, Osamu’s team is
being encouraged by Konami and the others, saying they should be careful with
the middle and upper level B Rank squads, since the upper levels have an A Rank
ace in each squad. Before Karasuma can explain about Suwa and Arafune squads’
strategies, Reiji says Osamu and the others should research it themselves,
telling Karasuma that’s part of their training, to create countermeasures.
Suwa squad is talking about how
impressive Chika and Yuma’s performance yesterday was, Arafune squad also
noting that they still have weaknesses, particularly Chika with the excess
output of her shots. Yuma’s match with Midorikawa is also a factor, noting how
skilled he is and the major threat to confront.
Usami asks Osamu’s group about how
they plan to face Suwa and Arafune squad. Since Suwa squad’s more close range,
the Attacker shielding the Shooters with shotguns and using a Chameleon Trigger
to conceal themselves, Osamu will stay back with long range attacks.
Arafune squad is all Snipers, so
they have to use Chika, though she’ll be exposed with her first shot until she
can control her output.
Usami reminds them of one crucial
aspect that will aid them: the lowest ranked team gets to choose the terrain
for the battle, so that will be how they get an advantage over the other 2
teams. The chapter ends as the next B Rank war begins.
Magi 250
Gyokuen is leaving the Isolation
Barrier so she can heal herself. Her physical condition is such that she can’t
even take down a soldier, but she’ll be in the clear once she escapes the anti
magic field.
She’s impressed that Judar and
Hakuryuu were able to emulate magic from Alma Torran of the level that once
trapped Solomon temporarily.
Gyokuen is close to escaping, but
Judar trips her, berating her for manipulating him for his entire life. He
leaves the finishing blow to Hakuryuu, who’s managed to get up.
Gyokuen tries to manipulate Hakuryuu
emotionally by pretending as if she returned to her original self of Hakuryuu’s
mother. But Hakuryuu ignores this, slicing off her head.
In a final attempt to kill him,
Gyokuen has rigged her body to explode with all her magoi concentrated. The
explosion shocks everyone, wondering what happened to Hakuryuu.
But a week later, everyone’s
recovering, including the new emperor. Judar explains they barely made it out
of the Isolation Barrier so his Borg could activate and protect them. He also
thinks Gyokuen intentionally blew herself up so he couldn’t get any information
out of the corpse.
After all this, Hakuryuu seems
despondent, Judar thinking it’s because he’s returned to his original self, not
bound by his desire for revenge anymore. But surprisingly, even after killing
his own mother, he now seeks to strike down Kouen in order to save the world
from their tyranny, suppressing people’s hatred and stealing their culture and
history for their unified vision.
Judar thinks to himself that this
notion of justice is warped, but he thinks it’s fine, since their goal is to
keep on fighting, even if there’s no one to oppose them.
The chapter ends as Hakuryuu is
crowned the new emperor and they move to challenge the others.
One Piece 771
As Zoro continues to fight Pica, Elizabello
offers his aid, but Zoro says he’ll handle him, telling the king to hold onto
his powerful punch.
Meanwhile, Lao G continues to pummel
Don Chinjao with his bizarre fighting style. He notes how he is the Earth Sage,
utilizing pain to develop stronger techniques.
But Don Chinjao says he won’t allow
Sai to marry Baby 5, misunderstanding things over there. Sai is already
betrothed to another, the head of the Nihou Navy, but he doesn’t care either
way, not wanting to get married.
Lao G seemingly starts to die, his
“soul” floating out of him, but Baby 5 calls him back. Don Chinjao is confused
at Baby 5 doting over his grandson like his wife. Sai pushes her away, Baby 5
saying she’ll do anything. He tells her to die, but as she prepares to actually
kill herself, he hesitates, saying she shouldn’t do that.
Don Chinjao attacks them with his
Drill Nail, but Sai knocks him away with a powerful kick, slapping Baby 5 to
stop her attempted suicide. With Don Chinjao’s drill head bent, he says that
Sai has succeeded him and he is now the Drill Dragon, the head of the Happou
Navy.
Lao G attacks Don Chinjao, revealing
his ultimate technique, Combat Insurance, a qigong technique that restores his
strength from his prime. He rushes at Sai, saying he can’t have Baby 5, Sai
responding that if he wins, he’ll take Baby 5 as his bride.
Sai strikes Lao G with his own Drill
Nail, defeating the Earth Sage as the chapter ends with both Lao G and Baby 5
defeated, though Baby 5 is said to have fallen in love as her “defeat”
Toriko 306
Everyone’s
having difficulties with the training, particularly Toriko and Sani. Coco notes
that even with his sight, the electromagnetic waves of the BB Pillbug change so
fast he can’t keep up, Toriko having similar problems with being unable to
react based just on sight or basic senses. Sani says it’s different than the
Intuition he was taught by Guemon, more like making all your cells consciously
think.
Meanwhile,
Zebra is thinking to himself about a clue he might’ve seen that would help him
learn Enbu. Terry, Kiss and Quinn are also training with Giant BB Pillbugs,
wanting to be of use to their masters and also to be closer to the newborn
Horse King Heracles as a rival.
Kaka
further notes that the masters can juggle 50 BB Pillbugs, other ranks doing
similar double digit numbers.
By the end
of the first day, no one has managed to juggle even one BB Pillbug. The group
wonders if they can do it, Coco saying that even thinking on it may help them.
Suddenly,
they all sense something, Bambina emitting an immense amount of anger for a
brief moment at not being found in Hide and Seek. Toriko and the others have a
sudden burst of clarity, all their cells united for that instant at the fear of
Bambina’s bloodlust.
The group
remembers this feeling, concentrating on that experience of near death, and
manages to start their training anew, Toriko juggling one as the chapter ends.
Bleach 610
Jugram explains that Juhabach has
usually fought with his eyes closed (this seems to mean he has a second set of
true eyes he hasn’t opened, since we see he has two pupils later on), because
if he opened them before the years passed for the Quincy King to regain his
full power, he would lose control over his A power and suck away all the other
Stern Ritter’s power.
Juhabach starts to explain that his
power allows him to see into the future, and all he can see, he also
understands. Any ability then becomes his ally, making him, in his own words,
nigh untouchable (meaning physical attacks themselves or stuff not named could
still be out of his power’s ability to control).
Ichibei reminds Juhabach that he
still controls black, utilizing a complex kidou with the [Black] power, called Futen
Daisatsu Ryou (Slaughterous Mausoleum of Non Reincarnation) that will,
according to him, eliminate him completely by drawing the Black from him.
But Juhabach responds that in the
face of his power, nothing can work, seemingly killing Ichibei as the chapter
ends, utilizing the power of [Black] for himself, pulling all the black drank
by Ichibei (for his previous kidou) out of him.
People might say Juhabach is
overpowered with this, but one could say the same thing about Dio from Stardust
Crusaders in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure with his time stopping ability in the
form of The World (admittedly there were counters with other time manipulating
or time stopping powers). But as I said, I think pure physical powers may not
be affected by this, or enhanced speed by basic “power level”. If you read
Seven Deadly Sins, think of it like Meliodas’ Full Counter, where he can’t
react to multiple attacks and can’t counter attacks with no magical power
imbued in them. Juhabach may not be able to react fast enough or may not be
able to counter pure power that comes close to him (like Ichigo or combined
attacks from Zero Squad). Also, the dominant theory from fans is that Uryuu
will inherit the power, since one could say Juhabach has seen his eventual
demise and made Uryuu his successor
And the ending has happened before,
with characters seemingly killed. I feel like the other Zero Squad members have
a potential backup plan, especially if we consider that Juhabach has been
defeated before in the past, so there are limits to his Almighty that we don’t
necessarily know at the moment.
