This isn’t technically the year anniversary (that was last
week, roughly), but this marks 52 posts and that makes it my year anniversary
in itself anyway. Here’s to another year!
Seven Deadly Sins 84
Everyone’s shocked at Merlin’s appearance, the Sins asking
where she was, but Meliodas focusing on requesting her help, which she provides
by teleporting them directly outside the king’s chambers. She had intended them
to be inside, but the Perfect Cube refuses anyone but the original caster,
which in this case is Vivian. The others are either confused that the Sins are
there, like Dawn Roar, or happy, like Elizabeth.
Meliodas moves to attack the cube, but Merlin stops him,
saying that the spell is from the Demon World and rejects all attacks, strong
or weak, Vivian laughing at them from afar. But Merlin just grabs the door
handles and opens it, revealing that her ability is Absolute Cancel, negating
any spell apparently.
Meliodas and Elizabeth embrace, Meliodas relapsing to his
perverted ways for a bit. Meliodas comments that the king is much older than
before, but the king says Meliodas is oddly the same. The king orders Threader
to be healed and notices Arthur.
Meliodas concludes that all that’s left to do is to free the
kingdom, everyone looking to Dreyfus, seemingly the only threat left.
The group asks why he framed them, Dreyfus saying they were
the ones who killed Zaratras, his brother. But Margaret retorts that she saw
them kill Zaratras and Vivian captured her and Gil as hostages ten years ago as
she was telling him.
Merlin thinks it makes sense, since Vivian was obsessed with
Gilthunder, using Margaret to manipulate him and vice versa.
Gowther finishes things by noting that the plan was based on
Dreyfus’ jealousy of his brother, Hendricksen poisoning Zaratras, the two
killing him and framing the Seven Deadly Sins so they could take over the
kingdom.
Hauser can’t believe this, Dreyfus admitting his defeat and
dropping his sword. Dreyfus notes that
he didn’t think Hendricksen had the plans he did, the gap growing so much and
Griamor killed by his old friend. Meliodas reveals, however, that Griamor is
still alive, which makes Dreyfus shed tears of happiness.
Vivian weeps at Gil leaving her again, but Hendricksen
reattaches his arm, the chapter ending on his somewhat new appearance,
particularly a mark growing over his eye that’s similar to Meliodas’ demon
power.
Magi 231
Solomon wakes up, having slept for 2 days, the others barely
able to put his body back together. David and the others are dead, but the
surviving magicians seem to be developing resentment towards the other species,
since they are free, while their families are devastated because of their
ambition to protect the other species. Ugo has locked himself in his room,
saying he cannot atone for failing everyone and causing the deaths of so many.
But Solomon appears before his citizens, apologizing. Ithnan
grabs Solomon, fuming, but calms his rage. He says that they don’t regret stopping
the Orthodox, but the deaths of all these people seem so pointless, since the
base wasn’t valuable for strategy and David was insane with power and was
purposeless in his seeking of magoi. Solomon responds that this was fate and he
will figure things out from what David told him. He thinks there must be a
great amount of magoi somewhere, which he intends to use to create the peaceful
world they sought. But the others say they couldn’t find it even after
searching the whole base.
They return to the sanctuary, Solomon noting there’s
something here the others cannot see. He explains that it’s hidden in a
different dimension so that only the one holding the staff can perceive it. He
opens it up, Sheba, Arba, Ugo and Solomon sucked into a dimensional warp. Arba
weeps at seeing that they’re in the presence of Ill Ilah, calling it “Father”
(which makes me strongly think that she’s Gyokuen in Alma Toran’s universe).
Solomon figures it out: David had created a hole that connected him to Ill Ilah
and he was constantly draining God’s magoi.
The chaper ends as Ugo concludes that the black things
swirling about are Rukh (meaning things have gotten horribly corrupt, leading
to the Black Spot incident in this world) and Solomon not understanding what
David wants him to do.
World Trigger 66
Enedora attacks Suwa, slicing him apart slightly, but his
body recovers since the room they’re in is in simulation mode. The Neighbor is
confused, attacking the walls, but it’s ineffective.
The others outside the room are hoping Suwa can keep Enedora
occupied long enough for them to fully analyze his Black Trigger, since if he
notices the door out of the room, he can easily escape.
Shinoda leaves things in Kido’s hands, departing to fight,
most likely.
Meanwhile, the other Neighbors note that Hyuse has marked
the position of Chika, so the sole female Neighbor can use her Trigger to send
the Rabits to their position. They also observe that Hyuse’s opponent has a
normal Trigger, Viza’s a Black Trigger, which intrigues some of the
Neighbors. The Neighbor leader says
they’ll wait until Osamu and Chika are far enough away from Hyuse and Viza to
send out the remaining Rabits and conclude this operation.
Meanwhile, Yuma’s fight with Viza is getting tough, since
Viza’s slicing away the Anchors. Yuma uses Bound to pull up a chunk of earth,
Viza slicing it into pieces. Yuma then chains them together and then combines
Bolt and Boost to attack. But before he can unleash it, Viza reveals the cane
is a scabbard for the sword, slicing off Yuma’s left hand, which turns into
Replica. Viza’s impressed at Yuma’s Trigger, Yuma figuring out that Viza is
just there to delay him, telling Replica to protect Osamu and Chika.
Replica leaves Yuma, Viza wondering if Border’s group should
split up, implying there’s some danger. The chapter ends as Yuma counters that
Viza can’t lie very well and the Rabits are summoned at Chika and Osamu’s
position, Osamu and Karasuma preparing to fight them.
Naruto 684
Sakura thinks to herself that Obito has consigned himself to
death, since he thinks he’s beyond saving. Sakura and Naruto’s clone touch him,
preparing to teleport. But Kaguya notices them, the group having to factor in
that she has her attention focused on them.
Kaguya moves towards Naruto’s real body, apparently not
caring about Obito’s group. Naruto thinks he has to use the strategy that
worked before: a diversion and then taijutsu. He won’t use the sexy jutsu, but
he has to corner her, so she’ll use her space time jutsu; then, he’ll follow
her in and look for Sasuke.
He uses the chakra from the 5 tails to enhance his strength,
breaking out of the ice and clashing with Kaguya directly. They split apart,
Kurama refining Naruto’s chakra so he can summon even more Kage Bunshin, hundreds
or more.
Naruto swarms Kaguya with the barrage of Shadow Clones,
Kaguya moving into the other dimension with her space time jutsu. Naruto’s real
body follows, the two appearing in what appears to be the desert dimension
where Sasuke is.
Kaguya thinks to herself that Naruto can’t be here, since
this is the core dimension, connecting to the other 5 and with the resonance of
their powers of Yin and Yang, Naruto can find Sasuke.
Black Zetsu and Kaguya discuss whether to kill Naruto.
Kaguya says they need his chakra, but Black Zetsu says they need to focus on
finishing their plan with the chakra they have, since it takes so much to alter
dimensions. Kaguya agrees, using what appears to be the Kaguya clan’s Kekkei
Genkai to fire a bone spear at Naruto through a dimensional gap she makes.
Naruto dodges, but another bone stabs him, seemingly burning a hole through his
body and killing the shinobi.
Kaguya moves to the other dimension, thinking that she
killed the original. Meanwhile, Obito and Sakura make it to the dimension where
Sasuke presumably is, Naruto’s clone having disappeared at some point (possibly
the one that Kaguya killed?)
The chapter ends as Kaguya returns to the ice dimension,
seeing Naruto’s clones still there, meaning his original body is still
somewhere.
Toriko 284
We return with Komatsu speaking about hearing the
ingredient’s voice. Mappy thinks it’s the Air tree in front of them, but
Komatsu says it’s further ahead, in the direction of the Slow Rain Hills. This
means what he hears is AIR itself.
Horse King Heracles glares at them, the force of its power
without even moving enough to send shockwaves through the air. Mappy says they
have to give the sacrifice, since AIR is like the Horse King’s life.
Toriko says that he’ll hold off Heracles while Komatsu and
Mappy go in Careru towards AIR so Komatsu can prepare it. Careru grows more wheels and goes into Top
Gear, narrowly avoiding a Daruma Horse’s attack, zipping away at blinding
speed.
Meanwhile, Toriko unleashes a scattered burst of Nail
Punches, reverberating through the ground and creating a chasm around himself,
the Daruma Horse, the Janus Unicorn and the Horse King itself. The Bishokuya
plans to make himself a sacrifice in Mappy’s place, if need be, his eyes
gleaming with excitement. The chapter ends as Toriko stands off against the
Horse King, seemingly taking on the form of his Appetite Devil.
Bleach 588
We start with Juhabach’s group crashing into the Soul Palace
area, catching the attention of the Royal Guard. Haschwalth notices
something, trying to console Juhabach (who he thinks should be sad about
something). Juhabach replies that it’s pointless to mourn over an old
gravestone, Haschwalth recanting. Juhabach then commands Jugram to start,
Jugram summoning Soldat through the Schatten Bereich (Shadow Territory,
roughly).
The Soldat are knocked away by Tenjirou, who says he’ll stop
them, even though Juhabach thinks otherwise. The Soldat are washed away by the hot springs
Tenjirou is in charge of and then he unleashes his Zanpakutou, Kinpika.
Meanwhile, Ikkaku and Yumichika are fighting Giselle, who’s
trying to act innocent again to draw them in to attack her, Yumichika catching
on to her tactic. He even figures out she’s cross dressing, which infuriates
her. The chapter ends as she summons the zombified Bambietta, confirming
theories from months ago about her fate.
Fairy Tail 392
Wendy and Charle wonder what to do about the Faces. The Air
Dragon Slayer asks Doranbolt how fast they can get to Magnolia, Doranbolt
responding that, with some speed, they could get there in five minutes. Wendy
plans to use Warren’s telepathy magic to contact all the guilds on the
continent. With their combined power, she thinks they might be able to do
something about the threat of Face.
Back at Juvia’s fight, she remembers Keith’s words, implying
that Gray will follow in his teacher’s footsteps (not his father’s, which I
said last week) and use Iced Shell to defeat Deliora.
Gray is getting pummeled mercilessly by Deliora, who says it
was foolish to even stand against him.
He says humans can never hope to defeat demons, even with all their
strength. But Gray stands up, bloodied and beaten, saying he must win.
Deliora reminds Gray that Ice Magic won’t affect him, even
if he can’t absorb it, and he’s beaten Gray badly enough that physical attacks
are pointless (and he can’t use the cannon tactic anymore). Gray then starts to
use Iced Shell, Deliora saying that won’t work either, since he learned Ice
Demon Slayer magic after Ur used Iced Shell on him years ago. But Gray still
insists on using it, Deliora seemingly shaken and attacking Gray.
But he had an ice clone, appearing behind Deliora,
unleashing the magic. It seems to be working, but Deliora reverses it on
Gray. But that was also a clone, Gray
appearing in the place the previous clone was. He’s holding a steel ball that
he got from the rubble, since he reversed Deliora’s magic that he had used to
freeze the Sun Village before.
He makes a support with ice supporting the steel ball, the
ice forming a vambrace gauntlet, throwing the steel ball through Deliora.
The demon is defeated, Gray speaking to it, saying he
realized something, that Deliora may truly be his father instead of the demon
revived.
