There’ll be another side story for
Seven Deadly Sins next week and a 30 page main chapter
Seven Deadly Sins 77
We hear an announcement, the knights
and Holy Knights focusing on protecting the citizens and the castle. Ban is
nearby and we see that he split up from Meliodas so they could try to find
Elizabeth in multiple places.
Ban finds a guard, stealing his
teeth right out of his mouth to interrogate him. He eventually finds the secret
passage leading down into the dungeon.
Diane wants to go, but King tells
her she should rest. The giantess responds that he’s healed her wounds, so
she’ll be okay, plus she wants to rescue Elizabeth too.
Dreyfus, Hauser and Guira, Gowther
in tow, decide to stop Hendricksen from sacrificing Elizabeth to resurrect the
Demon Clan.
Gowther has recovered, noting Hauser
isn’t lying, telling Diane that Hauser is mainly going for her sake. Dreyfus
then agrees they’ll make a truce for the time being to stop the more pressing
threat. Gowther is suspicious, noting that one of two “Dreyfuses” could’ve said
that.
King and Diane have a nice moment
together, King saying Elizabeth was how he was reunited with his friends. The
group leaves to find her.
Back at the fight with
Hendricksen/Gilthunder and Meliodas/Arthur, Hendricksen is confident Dreyfus
won with the battle elsewhere that’s seemingly over. He also says the Sins are
pitiful compared to their past selves. He and Gilthunder are slashed by
Meliodas from a distance, who taunts them into fighting him.
Meanwhile, Hawk is still trying to
figure out where he is, Ban coming down to his location, instead of the
dungeon. He confirms that the single thing visible in the catacomb is the Horn
of Cernunnos, which allows people to talk to the Goddess Clan.
The chapter ends on Ban making a
request of the Goddess Clan: in exchange for his life, resurrect Elaine, King’s
sister.
Magi 225
The others are commenting on how
nice it is that after about 3 months, Solomon and Sheba are getting along
better (though Sheba still seems very nervous and seems to melt into a
cartoonish puddle as Solomon kisses her)
Problems are still occurring with
the species, the group continuing to liberate others, but previous species are
still fighting amongst each other, either within the Isolation Barriers or
between them as borders of sorts.
Someone indicates to Solomon that
they need a strong leader, not unlike David, since they’re almost close to
freeing every species from the control of the Gunud. The problem remains that
unless someone serves as king, which Solomon doesn’t want, the detractors claim
there cannot truly be a peaceful and equal society.
Sheba tells Solomon he’s not wrong,
the scene shifting to Ugo. He tells Solomon that he agrees that things are odd,
since the species are now submitting themselves to the rule of the magicians
who encourage the strife or worship Solomon as a god. He’s worried that might
upset, Solomon, but Solomon tells him it’s better that his closest friends
don’t try to appeal to him for rewards or deceive him, but speak to him
honestly.
Solomon then wonders if they can
really change the world to anything better than what it was under David, since
now that the species are free, they feel fear and uncertainty, which is why
they have hostility towards others. It’s not malice, but general unease at the
threat of the Orthodox.
The idea Solomon has is to change
something more fundamental and Ugo agrees, noting that his research has made
him consider that if there are leylines of power, then there may be others
related to fate or history. This would enable them to prove that there is
something like reincarnation that governs the spirits of people.
Ugo then further elaborates, saying
that the power of the soul could be what is draining Ill Ilah’s power and not
natural phenomena. They manage to create the basic elements of life, dubbing it
the Rukh (though it’s black, suggesting that the reason behind Ill Ilah’s
troubles is that people are becoming corrupted in some way and the Rukh is no
longer pure)
Sheba and Solomon announce that
they’re having a child together, naturally with no magic. But the concern of
the final battle with the Orthodox remains, so a solution is proposed to solve
the difficulty that would occur if Sheba were to naturally carry it to term.
She’ll slow its growth down with magic so it’ll be born in a peaceful world
after the conflict.
The chapter ends on everyone hoping
that the battle will end with peace and Sheba is keeping the future child’s
name a secret (fairly obviously it’s Aladdin)
World Trigger 60
We flashback to Yuma leaving Yosuke
after fighting Midorikawa. Yosuke volunteers to fight Midorikawa, who rejects
his offer. But Yosuke says Midorikawa had a good thing going, it was just that
Yuma had more experience and manipulated him into thinking he had it easy and
then used each subsequent battle to prove his power that much more.
Back in the present, Rambanein tries
to counterattack, but Midorikawa uses Grasshopper, darting around him. The
Neighbor then unleashes a barrage of attacks, Midorikawa managing to dodge.
Rambanenin then leaps up to attack from a distance again, but Izumi and the
Snipers assault him as he’s an easy target.
They manage to make a hit, but
Rambanein counters, taking out a Sniper’s arm and nearly hitting Izumi. Azuma
observes that Rambanein’s analytical with his fighting, dividing his attention
evenly amongst his opponents. But when the A Rank agents started attacking, he
became more precise to compensate, getting more accurate. He’s also, however,
leaving more openings, so the idea is to take advantage of that.
The group uses their numerical
advantage to draw Rambanein’s attention, but he figures this out as Yosuke
attacks him from behind. But the B Rank agents contribute to a shield around
Yosuke’s spear, the chapter ending on Yosuke stabbing through Rambanein, saying
their teamwork will beat him.
Naruto 677
As Madara’s jutsu activates, the
earth shakes with the tremors of power, the White Zetsu clones retreating.
Meteorites, likely made by Madara’s previous use of Jibaku Tensei, rain down on
some of the Ninja Alliance. Shikamaru concludes that since Naruto’s chakra that
he gave everyone, as well as the God Tree, disappeared, something big is
happening.
People start looking up at the moon,
Sasuke realizing what it is, rushing back to the ground to find Naruto and the
others.
Naruto summons even more Bijuudama
Rasenshuriken to take out the meteors, Sasuke rushing down as they explode the
giant rocks and telling the others to take cover.
Tenten is contemplating the Ninja
Tools of the Six Paths that Madara spit out, saying she could seal him away if
she only knew how. A hand bursts out of the ground, likely grabbing the tools.
We switch to Madara, who activates
what is apparently just the first stage (since otherwise the series would be
all but over if it was already the Infinite Tsukuyomi), a light bursting from
the moon and putting almost everyone into a state of paralysis, not hypnotized
quite yet. The Edo Tensei aren’t affected (because they’re not technically physical,
but something like simulated bodies for their souls)
Madara utilizes the Wood Release,
wrapping everyone that’s unable to move in the roots of the Divine Tree
(Shinju)
Naruto wants to act, but Sasuke says
that if they get out of the shield he’s created, they’ll be affected as well.
He says they have to wait for the tree to grow back. Black Zetsu notes that
Sasuke’s Rinnegan is somehow able to reflect the jutsu with Susanoo covering
them.
Hashirama realizes what Madara’s
doing, Tobirama wondering why it’s not affecting them. Suddenly, Yamato (or
what might just look like him) bursts out of one of the cocoons made by the
Shinju’s roots manipulated by Madara.
The chapter ends on Minato awakening
after teleporting away before, seeing the tree growing back and the moon
shining the light of the genjutsu on the world.
One Piece 748
Luffy is still laughing, some of
Doflamingo’s grunts saying that it’d be dangerous if Pica were to go wild now.
Pica moves to punch, everyone running away, since the sheer power will be
immense, creating a giant crater.
Everyone’s knocked away by it,
Luffy, Zoro and Law meeting up with Cavendish. He attacks, though it was
apparently a joke, as he feels indebted to Luffy since Usopp saved him by
defeating Sugar. Cavendish says he’s going to kill Doflamingo as
repayment, Luffy saying he’s going to do it, since he wants to repay Rebecca
for giving him her bento (which Law finds absurd as a reason). Everyone else,
particularly Chinjao and Hajrudin, appears and vows the same thing: either to
repay their debt to Usopp or just to get back at Doflamingo.
Luffy tells them to shut up, that
he’ll be the one to defeat Doflamingo, the others responding that he should let
them do it or they’ll kill him. Some more people appear, wanting to take Luffy,
Zoro and Law for the bounty Doflamingo’s offering, the ones who feel indebted
to Luffy and Usopp disappointed. They take out the attackers (even though at
least half of them don’t even seem to have a motivation to save Luffy)
Meanwhile, Pica and his subordinates
are looking for the Straw Hats and suddenly they appear, along with their
allies, Luffy riding on Ushi from the coliseum. Pica attacks, but just King
Prodence’s punch (not quite at full power) and Chinjao’s Drill Nail start to
break apart Pica’s arm as the chapter ends on Luffy still telling them to stop
following him.
Toriko 278
The threat of the Iron Cloud remains
and it’s intensified when we see that an Iron Foot, a cloud in the shape of a
foot, looming over them. It crashes down near them, followed by a barrage of
them. Mappy explains that the Iron Clouds are accumulated steel from Real Mist
that eventually reaches a low enough altitude. To get back up, they released
steel rain called Iron Step.
Toriko tries to cut one of them with
Leg Knife, but even that isn’t enough. Careru (called Croakswagon in the Viz
translation) tells them to get into Octomelon’s room where Terry and the others
are. Octomelon turns into Diving Mode, sinking into the swamp.
Mappy is distraught, saying they
can’t get past Gold Swamp underwater. He mentions a cave where the Clear Gold
(a super transparent gold dust) flows into. But that leads into Gold Labyrinth,
a maze where no one has escaped. Toriko says they should just wait out the
Steel Clouds, but they won’t stop for a few years and the gold dust flow draws
them into Gold Labyrinth, Octomelon unable to swim back, since Diving Mode
isn’t made for maneuverability.
The Travel Frog is even more
despondent now, saying the only way they can get out is with Food Luck. The
others think Komatsu can do it, Coco discovering there’s a way to pilot
Octomelon from the inside. We get a detailed diagram of the sheer size and
space inside Octomelon, including the pilot room, where we end up. The others
offer to help as best they can, Zebra’s echolocation showing a massive maze
with traps and dangers everywhere.
At the first fork, the group is
divided on which direction to go, but they manage to get through a majority of
it without a hitch, since Octomelon can shoot something to distract the rare
danger they run into. Mappy feels like they can make it.
The chapter ends on Joa in another
area of Gourmet World, referencing Food Luck and Acacia, supporting the theory
that this may be a “zombie” Frohze who retains some memories from her past
life.
Bleach 581
We start with Oomaeda holding off
some Quincy Soldat, Bazz B impressed at this.
Suddenly, the Soldat are defeated by
Momo’s Tobiume, Shinji alongside her, saying he’ll help them. Momo is ordered
to heal Soifon, having done well to heal Shinji after Bambietta attacked him.
He tells Oomaeda that things are
serious: if Zaraki dies, then the battle will likely shift in the Vandenreich’s
favor. Bazz B, having heard this, says he’ll just have to stop them from
supporting Zaraki. He attacks the ice area, creating something like lava.
We shift to Rukia and Byakuya moving
toward Zaraki’s position, Rukia suddenly feeling a strong reiatsu. We see
someone flying down at Seireitei, Ikkau recovering, Renji noticing as well.
It looks like Ichigo crashes some
distance away, but it turns out it was a test attack, appearing much closer
behind the four Stern Ritter. He speaks to Kenpachi, saying he’ll save him as
the chapter ends.
Fairy Tail 385
We see some of the Nine Demon Gates:
Kyouka (without her mask), Silver and Tempesta (it works better, though we’d
need an official rendering from Mashima in English), all recognizing the sheer
power the Celestial Spirit King emanates.
Marde is impressed someone could
summon the Spirit King, the Spirit King inquiring what Marde plans to do. Marde
repeats the basic plan: summon END and return to Zeref.
Lucy is still alive, amazingly,
crying, which enrages the Spirit King, vowing to avenge her and defeat the
enemy before him in her name.
He towers over Marde, but the Demon
King manages to attack first with his mobility. The Spirit King counterattacks,
but Marde unleashes his own Curse power, Thorn, spiked spires stabbing into
him, supposedly infinite. But the Spirit King slashes them away and attacks
with the Meteor Blade, creating a huge chasm.
Jackal is amazed at the power,
noticing Lucy. He attacks, but a shield of water protects her. The Spirit King
reveals he’s given her Aquarius’ power, Lucy feeling great magic flowing in
her. She has a new appearance, tattoos on her body representing the new power.
The explosive Etherias attacks again,
but Lucy blocks the bombs, chanting the incantations for a powerful spell,
Urano Metria, which Lucy has only used twice before: once with help from Hibiki
of Blue Pegasus and a second time with Gemini’s help. Now she’s able to utilize
it with Aquarius’ magic power. The chapter ends on the sheer power shown in a
two page splash.
