We didn’t get a second Seven Deadly Sins chapter, but 2
Fairy Tail chapters makes it worth it. We’ll be back on schedule until Obon,
which is in July or August
Seven Deadly Sins 75
King apologizes to Diane, who still can’t recall where she’s
heard the name Harlequin, King saying she must’ve imagined it.
Hauser asks why the Sins are here, since he’s certain
they’re not trying to overthrow the kingdom, King explaining that Elizabeth was
kidnapped. Hauser is shocked, Dreyfus attacking King from behind, who knocks
him away, keeping him pinned with his spear. King interrogates Dreyfus, asking
if he knows about the Holy Knights trying to resurrect the Demon Clan and
Elizabeth being the final key to releasing them.
Guira and Hauser start to understand, Guira noting that
Hendricksen’s plan involved making the second generation Holy Knights like her
and Jericho as a way to fight the Demon Clan. King presses Dreyfus, asking if
he was involved in the plan as well, Dreyfus amazed at King’s new power.
Elsewhere, Hendricksen and Arthur are fighting, laying waste
to the town as a result. Hendricksen
wonders how much Arthur knows, Arthur taking advantage of him being lost in
thought to attack from behind. Hendricksen easily blocks the flurry of attacks,
saying Arthur shouldn’t hold back as he knocks the king down, pummeling him
before he can recover.
Hendricksen says Arthur should be serious before Hendricksen
kills him, but Arthur just provokes him by saying he doesn’t think Hendricksen
is that powerful, even if he notices the black flames. A huge attack from
Hendricksen, Hellblaze Scream, seems to destroy Arthur, but it’s reflected. The
chapter ends as we see Meliodas is ready to protect Arthur in order to take
back Elizabeth.
Magi 223
Sheba and Arba have an emotional moment, since
everyone has to sleep together. Arba says it’s like sharing a bed with your
parents, but Sheba didn’t know her parents. Arba comforts her, Sheba thinking that
she and Solomon are like the parents for everyone in the group.
Falan and Wahid’s relationship, which brought forth a child,
makes Sheba wonder why some people gravitate towards each other, Falan thinking
Sheba should try to get with Solomon.
Solomon and Arba return, Arba explaining that some species
built a statue to worship Solomon, which infuriated him.
The other species ask about why there are so few elderly or
young people in the magicians’ group, reminding us that they can control their
aging. Arba thinks it wouldn’t be so bad to have more children, but Solomon and
the others think it’s a waste, since they can live for hundreds of years
without worrying about descendants.
Solomon says he respects his followers that show the
familial love he never received, not having brothers and certainly not having
any love from his father. He even thinks the species are following their lead,
not his, in imitating the structure of families and the common ideal of love
they all share.
Falan asks Solomon if he might be ready to have children,
Solomon responding that Sheba’s like a child already, which disappoints Sheba.
Arba talks with Sheba, asking that she become Solomon’s
wife, which shocks Sheba, since Arba and Solomon seemed more like they should
be together. Arba insists that Sheba can support him, the others, herself
included, too much like his servants, since they were part of a group that the
Orthodoxy insisted should be Solomon’s friend. Sheba, on the other hand, is
genuine in her interactions with Solomon and can keep him rooted. Solomon, Arba
says, is worried he’ll become like his father and so she thinks Sheba will be
able to be his equal in a way.
The idea is that since Solomon needs to understand the
feeling of love from someone, but also needs to have a strong sense of duty,
Arba will encourage him to be tough and Sheba will be his emotional support. Sheba
is worried that Arba doesn’t respect her or that she can’t truly be Arba’s
equal yet, Arba insisting that Sheba’s the only one she thinks can help Solomon
and open up his heart.
The chapter ends as Sheba resolves to become Solomon’s wife,
asking him out, but flatly rejected, suggesting she still has to work at it.
World Trigger 58
Everyone’s shocked, Jin reminding them that he’s going
to try to prevent it and it’s the worst case scenario. Jin confirms that Kido
said it’s okay for him to take Yuma as long as they stay within the emergence
area. But Yuma’s concerned they can’t get to Osamu. Jin responds that Reiji’s
squad will bring Osamu to them.
We return to the fight with Hyuse and Reiji’s squad. Hyuse
has an advantage, but Karasuma utilizes a gunner trigger with properties like
Asteroid, where you can control their path, Hyuse having some difficulty.
Konami attacks Hyuse from behind, but the older Neighbor
blocks her strike, making her recoil as she senses danger in his Trigger. He
tells Hyuse that they should push forward and not waste energy in this
squabble.
Hyuse changes his Trigger’s form, firing a blast at Chika,
embedding black shards in her that pull her towards him. Karasuma tries to fire
again, Hyuse thinking he won’t be tricked again. But Reiji appears, punching at
the vulnerable part of the shield and striking Hyuse directly.
Reiji explains that Hyuse’s Trigger is magnetic, each shard
using the attraction/repulsion force to reduce the power of attacks or
otherwise keep them away, or drag targets like Chika.
Reiji tells Karasuma to take Osamu and the C ranks away,
Reiji and Konami holding off the two Neighbors here. Shinoda orders anyone in
the vicinity to support Osamu and Karasuma, Miwa remembering what Jin told him
before about protecting Osamu, saying that Tamakoma should solve its own
problems and ignoring them.
The Neighbor from before who took out 6 Border members in
quick succession is still targeted by others, who are being more cautious,
thinking the Neighbors are trying to draw their fire so the new Rabits can
capture the Ca ranks. The mysterious Neighbor notes that they’ve figured it
out, not sure how to attack. We see Midorikawa, Yosuke and Izumi prepare to
attack the Neighbor as the chapter ends.
Naruto 675
As Madara throws the black chakra rod at Sakura, Obito uses
Kamui to teleport it away. But in the regular world, it’s revealed that he
teleported Sakura herself away. She notices Kakashi lost his Sharingan, healing
him as she explains the situation. She thinks to herself that since she was
teleported away, Obito’s in danger.
We hear a more specific explanation of what was going to
happen: if he lost control of his body, then Black Zetsu could teleport out
with Obito’s Sharingan. More importantly, if Madara gets both Rinnegan, his
true power will awaken, Obito only managing to keep it from Madara by sheer
will, since the Rinnegan isn’t originally his, but a transplant from Madara.
She concludes that things will get worse, since Madara might be able to take
Obito’s Rinnegan.
Madara, back with Obito in the Kamui dimension, notices that
a seal he placed on Obito’s heart is gone, Obito explaining that Kakashi
managed to nullify it when they fought before. But Madara thinks it’s ironic
that both Obito and the other person he put the seal into realized that it
prevented them from removing it themselves, so they couldn’t commit suicide.
The other person is revealed to be Rin, who used Kakashi’s
attack to remove the seal. This was in Madara’s plan so Obito would fall into
darkness. The whole time, Madara was manipulating things and utilizing events
so that he could set Obito’s fall into motion, since he intended to utilize his
potential by creating darkness where there wasn’t any before. Now, the only
thing left to do is to take Obito’s left eye.
Naruto has sealed the Limbo Madara’s movements, moving to
Kakashi’s position and healing his eye, only managing to recover a normal eye,
thankfully. The group bickers about Madara’s imminent return with both Rinnegan
and how Naruto’s being naïve in not keeping his guard up.
Kakashi remembers the trio’s ambitions, seeing that Naruto
has far surpassed any Kage and that Sakura’s feelings towards Sasuke have
likely changed, still wanting to save him in some way. But he doesn’t know
Sasuke’s dream, now that Itachi is dead. Sakura says it was to become Hokage,
but she wondered what he really meant by that.
The chapter ends as Kakashi says that Sasuke doesn’t have to
tell them, but they should remember his lesson from when they first became
genin: teamwork.
One Piece 746
Doflamingo reiterates the situation: no one can escape, you
can’t contact the outside world and people will continue to randomly attack
others with his Parasite power affecting them. He challenges them to fight, but
also says they could easily die in this situation.
Back at the factory, the transformed toys now move to escape.
Meanwhile, Kinemon meets up with Usopp and Robin’s group, Bartolomeo also
appearing and fanboying over Usopp, since he’s notorious as Sogeking. Kinemon
is being sought out by everyone, because of the Bird Cage scenario, so he
changed back.
We return to Doflamingo taunting everyone, noting that there
are 12 people he wants killed, 100 million Beri per head. The targets are: Zoro,
Kinemon, Sabo, Kyros, Luffy, Rebecca, King Riku, Viola, Robin, Law, Franky and
Usopp, who’s actually worth 500 million Beri because Doflamingo realizes he
started all this by knocking Sugar unconscious. There are star ratings for
everyone, Usopp worth 5 stars, even more than Luffy or others, ranging from 3
to 1.
Usopp, Robin, Kinemon, Rebecca and Sabo are all targeted in
the factory area, Kinemon jumping into the Scrap Heap to find Kanjuro.
The people of Dressrosa are debating whether to fight or
capture the 12 people. Meanwhile, Franky disappeared from where he was
seemingly defeated.
Zoro has caught up with Luffy and the others, everyone
getting their bearings straight. Kyros left the group, going to find
Doflamingo, slashing through everyone in his path. Luffy explains the situation
to Rebecca, who sees the connection between the one legged toy soldier and what
she remembers of her father. Luffy says he’ll beat Doflamingo, telling Rebecca
to just survive until then.
Law tries to tell Luffy they should escape, since killing
Doflamingo will cut off Smile from Kaidou, who they were planning on fighting
after leaving Doflamingo alive.
Isshou informs Bastille about the situation, telling them to
capture Law and the Straw Hats, leaving Doflamingo be for the time being.
The chapter ends as Luffy leaps off the building, going
straight for Doflamingo’s position.
Toriko 276
Komatsu and Sani discuss the data Toriko sent them,
realizing it’s a beast with a Capture Level of 487, Tounyuudou (Soy Milk Road),
a pun on what they’re based on, Wanyuudou, just with the kanji for Nyuudou
altered to Milk Road.
We see the group of the Tounyuudou taunting Toriko, who
understands that they were creating the illusions the whole time. Toriko says
he’ll return the favor, initiating what I assume is a Routine that gives off
the illusion that his Appetite Devil is eating the Tounyuudou in soup. They
dissipate and we see the true landscape, seemingly barren. So even the threat
of falling into an abyss was an illusion created by the Tounyuudou.
Coco is amazed at Toriko’s technique, which he calls the
Ultimate Routine. Toriko says he doesn’t even have to really fight anything up
to Capture Level 600, meaning that he’s still way above the other three in
strength after being in the Gourmet World for a year and a half.
Apparently Zebra knew it was all an illusion, the group
moving on to drink the Soy Milk tears and eat the Tofu Skin from the smoke
around the Tounyuudou. Komatsu prepares a feast with every ingredient they encountered
so far (minus the few that were defeated on the Thorned Sea). Everyone loves
it, Komatsu overcome with emotion of sharing food together with his friends.
In the distance, we hear a car and it’s the frog from
before. The chapter ends on him trying to communicate with them and the group
dumbfounded, since he only speaks in some frog language.
Bleach 579
Gremmy can’t believe he was killed by his own imagination
running wild (as opposed to my thought that Kenpachi just slashed him again
while he was powering up). As Kenpachi steps up to finish him, Gremmy says that
Kenpachi was wrong: he wasn’t killed by his imagination backfiring on him: his
imagination was perfect. He imagined all of Kenpachi’s strength, but Gremmy’s
body couldn’t match up.
The conclusion is that either his body failed or his
imagination couldn’t match up to Kenpachi’s real strength. His body disintegrates,
revealing that his true form was his brain in a container. So his imagination
truly failed, since even the body he imagined couldn’t keep up with his
enhanced imagined idea of Kenpachi’s strength. He curses his loss, really
wanting to have won this. So as he dies, he wishes for a world without
imagination.
Because Gremmy died, the stone tower collapses. Kenpachi is
impressed, especially as he coughs up blood and realizes he’s partly deaf
because of the explosion.
But things get weird as we see that Yachiru disappeared,
suggesting that she was potentially a manifestation of his Zanpakutou’s power
that had somewhat independent existence. Kenpachi asks if the other members
that have seen the battle and are at his side have seen Yachiru, the responses
negative. He orders them to search, the group frightened as he ignores their
objections that they can’t even sense her reiatsu.
Suddenly, the 11th division solders are zapped by Candice,
her group, minus Bambietta, oddly enough, appearing to take the battle to
Kenpachi as the chapter ends.
Fairy Tail 382-383
We see Kyouka reporting to Marde Guille that Face has failed
to be activated and that Ezel and Franmalth are gone. Marde Guile brings up
that Sayla and the Hell’s Core have also been defeated, making Kyouka even more
concerned. She wonders if Marde Guile will bring forth END, but he responds
they don’t have the required Curse power.
They needed to eliminate the Magic power, but Kyouka says
they seem to be at a dead end, since Face was supposed to do that. Marde
responds that she’s not looking at the big picture. He speaks of himself as a
great tactician and even the loss of Face is but a minor bump. He asks Kyouka
what they are, the Slave Star Angel repeating their status as Zeref’s demons
and their goal of reviving END, speaking of humans as below them.
Suddenly, tentacles appear, binding Kyouka and causing her intense
pain. Marde says she seems too fond of humans in capturing Erza and toying with
her. Kyouka says it was to get information, but Marde thinks otherwise. He
continues his torture for insulting him by playing with humans, who are
supposed to not even be an interest to demons of Etherias level, those made by
Zeref.
Marde still insists there’s no issue, but he is irked by the
humans: he wonders if he should use Alegria, an unknown spell he possesses.
Natsu and Lucy are still looking for Gray and Mira, when
they’re suddenly contacted by a relatively unknown member of Fairy Tail,
Warren, who reassures them they’ve met up with Mira and she’s safe. Lucy,
through Warren’s Telepathy magic, tells the others that Wendy and Charle have
stopped Face.
Happy then tells Makarov through Warren that Hades’ soul
told them to tell him to release the light, Makarov wondering if it’s Lumen
Histoire, which we last saw him showing to Gildartz.
Warren suddenly faints, the others noticing a noise, Marde
Guile having tapped into Warren’s Telepathy to talk with them. He says they’ll
die today, unleashing Alegria, which starts to break down the Cube and suck
people into the material. Marde reveals the Cube itself is like a prison, and
also like a beast, consuming everyone.
We see everyone seemingly frozen and absorbed into the Cube
like statues, Silver thinking it was boring to just finish them off like that,
but then senses something. Lucy has managed to avoid being absorbed, but Marde
thinks that’s worse than just losing to Alegria as the chapter ends with her
being the only hope Fairy Tail has left.
We start the next chapter with Lucy, still confused at what
happened. Suddenly, the cube, in its monstrous form, starts to absorb the
buildings below it, blasting through a cathedral.
Lucy has just heard all of this, not aware of what’s
happening outside. Marde tells Tartaros that the Face operation is proceeding
according to plan, meaning there was more to it than just the mere Face weapon
itself. A huge torrent of water starts to pull Lucy into its waves, drawing her
deeper into the cube.
But Marde also knows that one person has survived, promising
a promotion to Nine Demon Gate to anyone who captures her and a reward to any
Nine Demon Gate who does so. The grunts start chasing her, Lucy knocking away a
few with her whip and avoiding the magic blasts another group fires at her,
summoning Sagittarius, who defeats the stragglers still following her. But
Lamy, still able to fight, spins towards Lucy, deflecting Sagittarius’ arrows.
She reveals her Curse is Slipping, so projectiles are ineffective against her.
Lucy then summons Virgo in Sagittarius’ place. Virgo senses
someone strong is approaching, Lucy summoning Loke to fight the Nine Demon Gate
member Torafuza, who apparently uses something like a katana based Curse
(meaning he’s potentially similar to Ezel).
Loke and Virgo are worried Lucy is in danger, since they
both expend a lot of magic. They start to attack with greater vigor, but Jackal
appears near Lucy, the Stellar Spirit mage concluding she has to fight him
herself. He explodes her whip, knocking her away. Jackal continues to toy with
her, Torafuza saying he should finish her off, but Jackal says that since Happy
and Natsu are “dead”, he has to take out his anger on Lucy instead.
Lucy thinks to herself that the others aren’t dead, since
she can still sense their magic power. She moves to summon another spirit,
Virgo and Loke thinking that will kill her. The chapter ends as Lucy summons
Aquarius and fainting at the strain on her body.
