Seven Deadly Sins 73
Hauser and Guira are shocked to discover that Helbram’s a
fairy. Dreyfus remembers Hendricksen found him somewhere years ago, but that’s
all he knew.
Helbram reflects on his helmet and how it reminds him of the
past, but King doesn’t care. Helbram wonders why King cares so much about
Diane, insulting the Seven Deadly Sins. King responds that he should know about
losing someone important to him, Helbram retorting that he’d also know about
losing something right in front of you, unable to do anything. He prepares to
stab Diane with a giant vine, King stopping it barely.
King tries to attack Helbram, but he brushes the shuriken
form of Chastiefol away with the branch/vine and slams King with it, grabbing
him and summoning more to attack even stronger. They knock him around, but King
manages to attack one of them with a storm of shuriken as he planned to before,
but again it’s deflected by Helbram. He explains that since King lost his fairy
wings and is no longer accepted by the Sacred Tree, he can’t fully use Chastiefol,
made from it. Helbram, on the other hand, can utilize its branches as he shows,
preparing to finish off Diane.
Hauser stops the branches, but Helbram says they’re more
like roots, regenerating quickly and knocking Helbram out.
Diane seems to be in serious danger, Helbram pummeling her
mercilessly with the vines, a huge explosion of dust and rubble resulting from
it, seen by Ban and Meliodas. Helbram tosses King at her presumed corpse.
Meliodas and Ban note that Diane and Gowther’s power is fading,
but King’s is rising even higher.
Helbram is shocked to see Diane unscathed, King having
focused all his energy on protecting her.
The chapter ends as Diane remembers King’s smell, as
Harlequin. The next chapter will be a gaiden on King’s sin and his past.
Magi 221
It’s 5 years later and Solomon’s group is still fighting
against the Orthodoxy. We see Sheba destroying a group of enemies, the
survivors amazed at what she’s done with her Borg, making it into offensive
magic.
Sheba talks to Phenex, the leader of another species, which
isn’t named yet, encouraging her to join them.
The Orthodoxy notes that 3/4 of the world has fallen under
Solomon’s influence, wondering why David hasn’t sought to annihilate them.
Back at one of the Resistance’s bases, Sheba explains that
Phenex’s species, the Garuda, have allied with the Centaurs and Griffons and
have created an isolation barrier as well.
The others wonder why Sheba hasn’t controlled her aging
process like they have, since at a certain level of power, one can do that.
Sheba wants to become an adult, letting it slip that she might have feelings
for Solomon, the others teasing her.
She goes to report to Solomon, who is stern and tells her
she shouldn’t be so reckless, which Sheba interprets as him having special
feelings for her. He says it’s because
she resembles him, and she further concludes it must be him loving her.
Solomon is fighting with another woman as Sheba enters to
report. He manages to defeat her, the two of them bickering about her calling
Solomon young master and being too humble, since she trained him in
swordsmanship. He thinks that if someone like Arba, the woman he defeated in
sparring, isn’t with him, he might think to become like a god, which his father
aspired to.
Sheba is sulking, jealous of the relationship the two have,
the others saying she has to accept she can’t get between them.
Later, Ugo observes and tells Solomon that the magoi’s
quality is changing, feeling corrupt in some way and that it might imbalance
the world. Solomon says they should go ask the species that instructed him
about the history before humans became magicians. The chapter ends as it’s
revealed they’re going to meet the Origin Dragon.
World Trigger 55
Hyuse, the Neighbor in the pair that appeared from the gate,
plans to capture the target, asking Viza to cover him. He warns Hyuse to make
sure the target doesn’t die, since they have high levels of Trion.
The group confirms it’s Aftokrator attacking them as they
see the horns, Reiji telling Konami she has to take care of the two new models
before they can fight the Neighbor solders. They will fight the two Neighbors
defensively until Konami comes back.
Konami utilizes a new Trigger, Sogetsu, a huge battle axe,
effortlessly defeating the Trion solders.
Osamu’s amazed, Replica explaining that Tamakoma is using
Trigger technology that changes with the user, which the main HQ hasn’t
approved yet, preferring standardized Triggers. Konami’s is based on sheer
power, ignoring Trion efficiency, Replica saying it’s more like how the
Neighbors fight. It’s also the reason why they’re considered the strongest, but
they’re also not in the Rank Wars, because of how different their Triggers are.
Reiji and Karasuma hesitate to attack in close range,
because the barrier used by Hyuse seems indestructible. They’ll just have to
wait for Konami for now.
The sole Black Trigger user starts to attack, seeping a
black goop into the ground and attacking from below, the group managing to
dodge it. The chapter ends as they transfer information to their Operator, and
say that Mikami, the Sniper, has a Side Effect that’s key to their victory in
this fight, whatever it is.
Naruto 672
Gai is struggling, Madara observing that this next attack
will exert all of Gai’s power.
Sasuke and Naruto have awakened, each of them having a mark
on their palms: Sasuke a moon, Naruto what’s likely supposed to be a sun. They
move out with their respective groups
Gai takes a new stance, the other shocked he has another
trick up his sleeve beyond the Night Elephant.
Kakashi flashes back to when he first met Gai, Dai saying
Gai and Kakashi can’t go to the academy together, since Gai flunked the
entrance exam. Kakashi says he shouldn’t have even tried if he can’t use
ninjutsu. But Gai thanks him for encouraging him, reflecting his father’s
attitude, and Sakumo says that Gai might become stronger than Kakashi if he
slacks off and gets overconfident. He says Kakashi should see Gai as a rival,
Kakashi recognizing that as Gai’s power continues to increase.
Gai rushes forward to attack, Madara saying this is the
strongest taijutsu he’s ever seen. Madara sees that Gai’s bending the air
around him and is suddenly attacked by what amounts to Gai’s Dynamic Entry,
slamming him several hundred feet: we even see it shattered half of Madara’s
ribcage and Gai’s legs as well.
The aftermath has Gai lying near death on the ground and
Madara barely managed to survive. He throws an attack to kill Gai, but Naruto kicks
it away. The chapter ends on him moving his hand over Gai’s chest, seemingly
reigniting the flame as Madara sees there’s something different about him. I
hope he’s not reviving Gai, since it would take the impact out of his final
attack and all.
One Piece 744
As the ring falls apart, water seeping in from the ocean
nearby, we see Sabo moving towards the Mera Mera fruit, Diamante saying they
never intended to give it away to begin with. Sabo grabs the fruit and takes a
bite out of it as he’s declared the victor. He takes Rebecca, leaving
Bartolomeo behind and losing his helmet. He tests out the power as one of the
other Revolutionaries gives him his clothes. Diamante thinks “Lucy” might be
connected to the Revolutionary Army as well, though he can’t be sure.
Robin faces off against Trebol, the Tontatta taking Usopp
away. Suddenly, the giant from the preliminaries Luffy was in stops Trebol’s
attack and thanks Usopp, showing him to the others as their savior as the
ceiling shatters, light streaming down in an oddly appropriate image. The
people turned back from toys see him as almost a god, following his order to
destroy the Smile factory and save the Tontatta easily.
The fighters from the finals recover, and we finally get
confirmation that it was indeed Sabo, explaining to Rebecca that the first Lucy
was Luffy and that he’ll be Pirate King someday. He’s revealed to be the second
in command of the Revolutionary army, outranked only by Dragon, Luffy’s father.
The Revolutionaries were here because the weapons being produced here were
supporting wars everywhere and they intend to stop it.
Kyros is nearly blazing through Doflamingo’s crew, Luffy
moving to save Trafalgar. Law says that their alliance is over, trying to get
Luffy to stay away from him for some reason. Pica attacks Luffy and the others
as they try to free Law. But Doflamingo
is revealed to be alive, saying he’s been pushed to use Bird Cage, another
technique of his Devil Fruit, most likely.
One Piece is on break next week.
Toriko 273
Mansam has given the group a tray looking item. Komatsu
explains it’s a tray and the new capture level measuring device in the form of
a tablet computer. They put on wristbands that send out a laser, which
transmits the data to the tablet.
Sani wonders how the tablet even knows about Gourmet World
ingredients, Komatsu explaining that they’re based on Gourmet ID cards (a sort
of required identification for an individual Gourmet Hunter that has data on it
based on their ingredients, etc). Mansam just found them next to his pillow one
morning and discovered they had millions of data pieces on Gourmet World
ingredients. Toriko’s amazed, since only a few people should have that much
data on their card.
Zebra says they’ll eventually have no use for it, so he
volunteers to test it out on something nearby. A giant fusion of a manta ray
and angler fish appears, Toriko measuring it and seeing its capture level is
299, more than even the Octomelon’s. The others decide they have to fight it,
but the Raylengler Fish is stabbed by a wave, Coco remembering this is the
Thorn Sea. Komatsu runs into the house, while the others prepare to fight the
waves themselves.
As Toriko cuts the waves apart with his Knife, he sees a
frog like humanoid drinking tea casually. He tries to measure it with the
laser, but it dodges and the group continues to fight the waves. They get away,
finally arriving at the Harbor of Evil Spirits, the most dangerous entrance
into Gourmet World. No ship can get through and it looks like there are
apparitions waving at them (the frog’s also there, oddly enough)
There are 8 continents and the Yutou Harbor is near the 8th
one where Acacia’s salad AIR is said to be.
The group seems to have made landfall, but then fall through
it as it was an illusion. The chapter ends as we see the first Gourmet World
ingredient the group will try to capture: AIR.
Bleach 576
Gremmy remembers
Kenpachi saying that he had a good expression: he doesn’t know what his face is
saying, but he feels great, ready to fight seriously through Kenpachi’s words.
Kenpachi slashes at
Gremmy, who creates a black barrier around himself. Spikes come out of it to
attack him, but Kenpachi breaks them easily. He slashes Gremmy, but then can’t
pull his sword out. A giant hand comes out of the sky, smashing Kenpachi.
Gremmy thinks he has the advantage, but Kenpachi slashes upwards through it and
wounds Gremmy. Kenpachi even says that he was slow in noticing: Gremmy thinks
to himself that this is a problem, since it means there’ll be a delay in his
healing and a subsequent delay in attacking and defending. With that window of
opportunity, he’ll attack again.
The attacks keep coming,
Gremmy wondering if he’ll actually lose. Kenpachi stops, wondering if Gremmy
imagined he was losing. Gremmy himself thinks he almost lost it for a second.
He restores himself to full health, thanking Kenpachi for encouraging him.
He duplicates himself,
Kenpachi thinking it’s just a clone. But Gremmy says he can make life, like he
did with Gwenhael and that these clones are seemingly indestructible. Also, his
power of imagination, since he made another version of himself, is now doubled.
The chapter ends as
Gremmy summons a meteor to destroy all of Soul Society, Kenpachi saying he’s
fired up, revealing the name of his Zanpakutou as Nozarashi.
Fairy Tail 380
Lucy, Natsu and Happy are a bit confused about what Hades
told them, but are more concerned about finding Mira. Happy goes to tell
Makarov, while the others continue to search elsewhere.
Franmalth laughs, saying that Tartarus cannot be defeated as
long as their lab is intact: they can be revived countless times. He teleports
to the lab as we move to Mira’s fight
She’s having difficulty, Lisanna managing to get her
opponent off her back. Sayla is confused as to why her Macro doesn’t affect
Mira. But she also explains that she can still resume control of anyone she’s
used her Macro on before, threatening to use it on Elfman.
Ezel appears in a tube, wanting to be revived quickly, but
Lamy is occupied fighting Lisanna. Mira doesn’t understand, Lamy explaining
that because of a contract they made with the Demon King (END?) they can be
revived endlessly in this place, Hell’s Core. Mira decides she has to destroy
this place first, Sayla thinking she can’t do it. But Mira seems to crush all
the equipment without even touching it, stopping Franmalth and Ezel’s rebirths.
Mira explains she took over the tentacle thing with her magic and used it to
attack.
The two realize that their abilities can’t work on each
other: Sayla’s Macro can’t affect Mira, because she’s too strong and the same
for Mira’s Takeover magic. The fight boils down to physical damage, Lisanna
confident Mira can win.
But Sayla releases her limiter and quickly attacks Mira, her
power increasing immensely, which shocks Mira. She unleashes a huge blast at
Mira, seemingly vaporizing her. She managed to survive it, but her Takeover
magic has worn off, so she’s powerless against Sayla’s new form.
We move to a different part of the guild, where someone is
holding a book which holds END, the mysterious figure saying a human imitating
a demon cannot hope to match up to the real thing. It’s revealed that he’s the
Demon King, Marde Guille, as the chapter ends.
