World Trigger was on break this week

 

1 new series premieres this month, Fabricant 100 by Daisuke Enoshima. A doctor that created ideal humans, called Fabricants, is killed by one, the remaining creations deciding they must steal parts from humans and our lead allied with a Fabricant to stop them

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fabricant 100 1-4

 

We learn of a doctor who created Fabricants, which were meant to be ideal humans, but fell short. The doctor is murdered by one of his creations and now the Fabricants seek to take from humans, leading to various abduction incidents. Our lead, Ashibi Yao, along with his assistant, the titular Fabricant 100, seeks to destroy all the other Fabricants, Ashibi vowing to give up his body to the one that helps him, a desperate way to deal with the trauma of losing his family, who possess great longevity, which draws Fabricants to his blood

 

Ashibi finds a Fabricant in a lake, taking victims when they get out in the middle, using specialized lungs to stalk them from underwater. And with an air bubble surrounding them, they make themselves invisible through exploiting refractive differences with air and water. But No. 100 gets Ashibi to safety and they continue on, noting someone’s been killing Fabricants, so another person may be involved.

 

Things take a turn as Ashibi is kidnapped, but not by Fabricants, but other humans with seemingly superhuman abilities, like concentration in the case of Luka, who explains the situation. But in spite of the offer to get Ashibi somewhere he can start anew, the boy refuses and bites his own arm, No. 100 getting to their location almost immediately

 

Luka flees with Ashibi in tow, No. 100 giving chase and retrieving Ashibi with ingenuity (using cow guts and bones to make a zipline across a crowd in the market). But when Luka notes that there’s a way they can deal with the Fabricants without taking them all down, Ashibi agrees to go with them

Tokyo Demon Bride Story 14-17

 

As everyone’s celebrating New Year’s, Jinta was kidnapped by the mysterious woman from before, Mukuro, who apparently resents him for taking Manaka away, having an obsession with the ogre princess. Turns out she’s actually a gashadokuro, able to manipulate bones and younger than Manaka and the others, Manaka telling her she can’t force her love on others after soundly defeating the spirit, Jinta returning with Manaka to celebrate New Year’s properly with everyone

 

 

 

The 4 Usakawa sisters, a group of spirits, are pursuing Manaka and Jinta. We learn more about Jinta’s family and how they got more connected over time. When Mutsumi goes off to get hangover medicine, she’s abducted, replaced by a horrible monster imitating her, infuriating Jinta

 

Manaka and Jinta are told to come to where the other Usakawa sisters are, Jinta having beaten up the eldest just now. But Manaka and another sister are sent away by teleportation sorcery, Rabbit Hole, having their own fight from a prior rivalry. Jinta, meanwhile, is beat up, refusing to give up and accept the loss in a game of brute violence. And his sacredblood begins to awaken, the item given by Kabane opening up, a box called the Homuru Nagi, which is said to protect him

The Homuru Nagi forms into a wooden bat-like sword, the Usakawa Sisters take Tsumugi hostage, explaining how the sacredblood will come about to address anomalies between the otherworld and human world, the Homuru Nagi part of the legend. Manaka comes in, but is too weak to finish off the sisters, Jinta saying he’ll fight off anyone to protect his family, even if he isn’t interested in the bigger picture with his sacredblood, defeating them handily

 

 

 

4 Knights of the Apocalypse 88-89

 

Guinivere is kidnapped by Ironside, having seen it coming and not opposing it because there’s a price to pay for fighting fate. Lancelot is unable to save her, told to not blame himself. Meanwhile, Percival and Tristan’s groups get new clothes, Gawain even going to Meliodas, hers resembling Merlin’s outfit. But when she says she won’t help them, being Arthur’s niece, Meliodas thinks she’ll still stick around even with threat of betrayal. And after eating his pudding, Gawain falls ill, delaying the trip by a day (because Meliodas still can’t cook)

 

The Apocalypse Knights are separated temporarily for their journey to find out more about Camelot’s location, Percival’s group headed to the Fairy King’s forest, Tristan’s to Old Camelot and Lancelot to Benwick, the half fairy hoping to discover Dubs’ location, so the legendary artisan can make him a suitable weapon for his immense magical power that normally shatters weapons other than arrows. Others bid their parents goodbye as the groups set out

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My Hero Academia 375-376

 

We see the fight between Ochako and Tsuyu against Toga, who manages to escape via Kurogiri, though Ochako and Tsuyu also get through the portal, still wanting to take the villain down.

 

Toga continues to enact the Sad Man Parade with Twice’s Quirk and Dabi is also moving to take down as much as he can, even if Shoto is out of his grasp. But All for One tells Hawks that his present body is still important, Shigaraki’s body not perfected yet, Endeavor told by Hawks to take out his son to change the tide of the battle

 

 

 

 

 

One Piece 1068-1070

 

CP0 moves to attack Egghead Island after being told their suspicions are baseless of other ships going missing nearby. Meanwhile, Dr. Vegapunk explains how he wants to leave to find more about the ancient energy source for the Void Century machines. CP0’s attack begins in earnest, Stussy knowing more than she lets on initially and Rob Lucci dealing immense damage to Atlas. But then Luffy’s group runs into the Leopard Zoan user, Luffy recognizing his old foe from Enies Lobby

 

 

 

Luffy’s group starts to run, CP0 reminded they can’t just attack a Yonkou. But Lucci reveals his awakened Zoan, Luffy going into Gear 5. Meanwhile Vegapunk explains his theory that all Devil Fruits came from someone’s dream about humanity’s potential in some way and the “Gum Gum” fruit may be one of the closest in a way with its divine nature. Sentomaru unleashes the Seraphim, having authority over CP0, but Lucci quickly takes down Sentomaru, leaving the ones with Authority Chips able to control the androids.

 

Sentomaru is still conscious and we learn that while Zoan Devil Fruits can be artificially made, Logia and Paramythia (new official spelling) either can’t be rendered at all or require a special green blood in the latter’s case to give someone the power. The group moves to retreat, Sentomaru holding off Lucci and while it seems that the Straw Hats are on their way to leave, we learn Kizaru plans to send every battleship they can (curious that Akainu hasn’t ordered a Buster Call)

 

 

 

Black Clover 345-346

 

Asta continues his training, boosted by Fujio and fighting Yosuga, supposedly the strongest. But Yosuga notices the doubt Asta has, not confident he can get stronger, but encouraged now with the imminent threat. And the last unnamed Ryuzen Seven, a seemingly shy and cowardly woman named Ginnojomorifuyu, shows her power after drawing the sword and becoming brash and brutal

 

We see that the people in the village were evacuated beforehand and Ryuya says he’s confident the Ryuzen Seven can take out the enemy. And the power of the 5 involved directly is shown by taking out the 5 headed dragon’s heads simultaneously with their Zetten
