Dr. Stone 69
Everyone’s shocked at the steam
engine, especially Magma, who gets knocked back by its sheer power. Kohaku is
impressed too, even as she hits Ginrou for saying it’s more a gorilla than she
is
Senkuu says they still need to work
out some kinks as we see Gen test drive it, the only one with a license. The
wooden wheels and lack of paved roads make it so bumpy that putting anything on
would be crazy
But with the village’s help,
particularly Kohaku, Suika and the kids, Senkuu makes a bamboo wicker version
of the wheels NASA designed for travel on planets.
Putting that together with a rough
chassis, they have the makings of a real automobile now.
The boys are more impressed than the
girls, Gen commenting that’s just more common for males to be excited about
building things.
But when Senkuu brings up that
they’ll take the infirm elderly that can’t walk as well along with the
scientific tools, one of the elders objects to this.
He says it’d be more practical to
just do round trips and leave them behind, since they’d just hold them back.
They are grateful to Senkuu for thinking of them, though he insists that wasn’t
his primary concern.
This way, they can take more
scientific tools and the elders are confident Senkuu and the others will win
before Tsukasa’s army can attack the village
The group starts off, but Gen
discovers that Senkuu’s simple engine can’t progress on inclines, forcing
Magma, Kinrou and Ginrou to push it up the hills. The time-saving measure
actually backfired on them in a way, but Senkuu has an idea
Everyone fortifies an area that is
only a few kilometers at best from Tsukasa’s kingdom. Suika moves ahead to
scout out things as Kohaku looks with a telescope to try and find Chrome’s
location as well
Suika finds Chrome, though it’s
because he calls out, complaining how he’s in a bamboo cave prison, clearly
hinting to her about how to break him out.
She returns, explaining things,
though Magma wonders if they should try a full frontal assault.
For once, Senkuu agrees, the chapter
ending as he says that with some improvements, they can turn their “Steam
Gorilla” into a tank
We Never Learn 73
Fumino and Yuiga are studying
together at the restaurant in town, when she notices something’s off about her
tutor.
Yuiga is still thinking about the
kiss he had with Fumino, though she isn’t aware it was him in the costume
Fumino insists that he talk to her
about his issues, referring to herself as his big sis in a figurative sense of
being his senior in knowing female issues
When she jokes that he must’ve had a
kiss or such, Yuiga has a spit take, Fumino more focused on him, asking who he
kissed
Fumino catches herself, Yuiga
wondering why she sounds so specific, not wanting to reveal that she wants to
help Uruka and Rizu in their romance
Yuiga is still ambivalent, Fumino
wondering if he’s kissed some other girl, getting more belligerent
Suddenly, Miharu appears, commenting
on the coincidence of meeting up with Yuiga
Fumino wonders if Miharu was the
person he kissed, Miharu initially playing dumb, but then admitting she was
said girl that Yuiga smooched.
She and Yuiga whisper about why she
did it, Miharu explaining that she figured that Yuiga was in a pinch and this
makes this less vague and answers Fumino’s question.
Miharu, hearing Fumino refer to
herself as Yuiga’s big sis, thinks she’s his actual older sister, feeling a
bond between them, since she admires Mafuyu as her older sister, still thinking
that Mafuyu and Yuiga are in a secret relationship
Fumino sees Miharu acting odd when
Yuiga whispers in her ear, still shaky around boys, a trait we saw much
earlier. She asks if they really are in that kind of relationship, Miharu
trying to prove it to Fumino by feeding Yuiga a parfait
But before she does it, Fumino
wonders why she’s so suspicious, not thinking she has any feelings for Yuiga
like Uruka and Rizu.
As Miharu is about to feed Yuiga,
she worries that Fumino will suspect something, Fumino unexpectedly eating the
parfait from the spoon and taking it from them to prevent it from being shared
Miharu interprets this behavior to
suggest Fumino is trying to protect her older brother’s reputation, leaving
them both confused as she departs.
The chapter concludes as Fumino
still wonders about whether she loves Yuiga, whether she would be sad if Yuiga
chose Rizu or Uruka instead
We start the next chapter with
Mafuyu volunteering to cover for a teacher who’s out sick, a home economics
class that has food ready for the class and no teacher immediately available
otherwise.
Yuiga finds Mafuyu leaving the
supermarket with bags of groceries for practice, since she’s not confident in
her skills even though she offered to take over the class
When they arrive at her apartment,
she realizes she doesn’t have an apron, Yuiga going to get one. It’s a frilly
one with a heart shaped fabric piece on the front, which irritates Mafuyu
She goes to cook, but Yuiga is
shocked to see that her kitchen is in disarray and not even well cleaned, fixing
it up as usual
As Yuiga finishes, Mafuyu offers
some hamburger steak, though it looks like bits of charcoal. He tastes it,
Mafuyu also realizing how bad it is.
She goes to do another batch, but
asks Yuiga to help tie up her hair so it doesn’t get in the way. Yuiga is
understandably nervous at the situation, but does a passable job, even if it’s
not as good as when he does his sister’s hair
The two progress in making the
hamburger steaks, Yuiga commenting that it’s surprisingly relaxing.
But he also says that it must be
hard being a teacher, since people expect so much from you. Mafuyu responds
that she doesn’t really care about that, just wanting to be as prepared as she
can for a lesson, such as her practice here. She doesn’t want to waste any time
teaching students in the limited time she has, surprisingly considerate in her
own way
Afterwards, the hamburger steak is
still terrible, Yuiga shocked to learn Mafuyu isn’t using a recipe and, what’s
more, isn’t even doing her own version well, using pancake and gelatin mix
that’s 3 years old
Yuiga exclaims that Mafuyu has to
follow the recipe, since she doesn’t even know the basics to be able to
improvise like she is. She’s a bit offended at his scolding, but understands,
the next batch going well
The chapter ends as Mafuyu basically
reiterates Yuiga’s lesson to her class, making them think she’s even cooler
with household skills along with her beauty and poise
Black Clover 168
After seeing a map of where most
people are relative to the regions in the Clover Kingdom, we flashback to after
the Reincarnation Magic was activated in the capital
Yami wonders what’s going on,
sensing a high magic power in the capital.
We see it’s Marx and Owen, their
magic powers overwhelmingly strong. Yami realizes that they’ve changed as they
speak to him, dodging their attacks, both of them having surprising attack
capabilities with their support type magic
As they comment on how they must
destroy Julius as a representative of the humans’ power, seeking vengeance for
the elves that were slaughtered, Yami turns around to attack
He absorbs Marx’s memory wiping
arrows with Black Hole and slashes apart Owen’s cocoon of super healing magic.
To their surprise, he moves faster than they can perceive, knocking them both
out with the back of his sword.
Yami tells them to sleep for now,
not wanting them to do anything further to sully the names of people who served
the Wizard King
The chapter ends as we see Charlotte
has also been possessed by an elf spirit, moving to fight Yami as he smirks,
calling her by his nickname of Thorny Princess.
One Piece 913
Basil asks Zoro and Luffy if they
know who really controls the Wano Kingdom, Luffy blurting out that it’s Kaidou,
though Zoro tells him they shouldn’t say that as the Straw Hat quickly plays
dumb
Zoro notices the sword Luffy has,
asking to borrow it. Luffy ignores this as he tries to use it, though he really
just punches his opponent while holding the sword
A lizard tries to grab Luffy, but he
throws it at Hawkins, who utilizes a Warabide sword, seemingly made of straw,
but strong enough to pierce the lizard
Zoro manages to land a blow on
Hawkins from afar with a sword strike, but someone nearby gets slashed instead
as we see Hawkins’ mysterious power form a straw doll from his body
Hawkins explains that it is a Devil
Fruit that grants him this ability, the Straw Straw Fruit, letting him make
straw clones that can take the damage in his place, representing his
subordinates that are connected to them
A larger straw form appears from
Hawkins’ body as he moves to take down Luffy and Zoro
The Straw Man pulls a tarot card
out, but it makes his crew attack each other. He’s confident he’ll draw one
that will aid him, but Komacchiyo takes Luffy and Zoro in his mouth and flees
with Tama as well
But Hawkins then draws the
Hierophant card, which lets him pursue them, Zoro managing to slash the straw
doll, thwarting their chase. Hawkins says that Hierophant’s symbolism means
that someone will aid Luffy and Zoro
Out of nowhere, the woman that Zoro
saved, called Tsuru, appears, offering to help Tama at her tea house, boiling a
medicinal herb there to counter the river’s poison
At Okobore Village in the Kuro
Province, we see a girl Okiku, accosted by some men who offer marriage to her
in exchange for prosperity and food in the capital
But Okiku, the poster girl for the
tea house, rejects the offer of Urashima, a famous sumo wrestler
Tsuru’s group arrives, Okiku moving
to prepare the tea to help Tama with her fever
The chapter ends as we see Bepo and
other members of Law’s crew watching from a distance, wondering what they should
do
My Hero Academia 192
Deku is trying to process what’s
happening, only parts of his body visible in the vision, most of it in shadow.
He sees 7 other people, but remembers he’s the 9th successor, wondering who’s
missing
He sees what is clearly All For One
in the past talking to the first holder of One For All, asking why he’s not
open to the idea of using Quirks to benefit people, even if it seems selfish at
first.
We see a man who has a mutant Quirk
that isolates him from society and a Quirkless man who was attacked by thugs
with Quirks. All For One grants the Quirkless man the mutation Quirk and frees
the original holder from it so he can help his aging parents, both of them grateful
to him
All For One says this is how things
should be, using his Quirk to bring order to society, though his brother says
he’s just creating more servants to use for his own gains.
The elder brother doesn’t deny this,
saying he needs people that are obligated to him, but One For All’s originator
says such an “order” is just exploiting people’s suffering
One of All For One’s servants,
called a bodyguard, pins down the younger brother as he says that he pities him
for not having a Quirk, something that lets one assert their ideals
We see how the world was in chaos
when Quirks first existed in society, but All For One offered salvation in his
own way, taking away Quirks that drove people mad and promised to help those in
need, granting their wishes as long as they follow him
Later, All For One approaches his
brother again, asking why he won’t follow him. He explains how there was a
faction that refused to follow him and without even needing to command anyone,
his followers destroyed them, his will just conveyed that easily
All For One says it’s like in the
comics they read, but his brother says that he only read a short way through. In
the end, the villain was defeated by the hero who struggled against him. But
his older brother says that reality doesn’t work like fiction, granting the One
For All Quirk base that evolved into the present Quirk that Deku holds
Deku is confused as he hears a voice
in his head, the originator of One For All talking to him. He says that since
Deku can only manage about 20%, this is all he can show him through their connection,
Deku wondering how this is happening
As he’s told that he isn’t alone, we
shift back to the outside world, a loud crash waking up Aoyama next door
The chapter ends as he goes to Deku’s
room, seeing that parts of the room have been damaged by the outburst of power,
Deku trying to figure out what happened as he awakens from his dream
Seven Deadly Sins 276
Derriere is cradling Elizabeth after she was freed
from Mael/Estarossa’s dark power, the Goddess still in shock that the Demon was
actually a Goddess Clan member
The Commandments absorbed by Mael are making him
more dangerous with his emotional instability and Elizabeth wonders how to save
him.
But she also thinks it feels out of place to say
that to Derriere, since her sister was slaughtered by Mael (though I wonder if
it was actually Ruedueciel?).
Derriere says that since Elizabeth saved her and
Monspiet before, they should follow her example and save Mael as well
Meanwhile, Sariel and Tarmiel are talking to Mael,
though their former comrade says they shouldn’t get in his way or stop him from
eliminating Gowther as the Archangels are meant to do with Demons
Tarmiel tries to calm him down, but Mael says they
can’t possibly understand how he feels.
Sariel says that he needs to give up the
Commandments to even have a chance to regain his Grace, but Mael retorts by
saying this new power is all he has left, moving to attack them
Derriere and Elizabeth arrive, the Demon saying that
she and Monspiet died 3000 years ago when they used their Indra forms,
Elizabeth saving them from their fate as servants to their instincts and hatred
They continued to serve the Demon King, but only
recently did they realize that what they were doing was wrong, wanting to stop
Mael to bring an end to this Holy War to give Monspiet’s sacrifice meaning
Elizabeth thinks she can’t take out the Commandments
with her power, but Derriere has an idea, telling the Goddess to stay back
Gowther is still divided as to what he should do,
not wanting to hurt his friends or Mael, but Derriere tells him to broadcast
her thoughts to everyone but Mael, the Sin of Lust realizing what she wants to
do
She conveys tactics to King, Sariel and Tarmiel,
combining their efforts to keep Mael restrained, Derriere then pummeling Mael
while Gowther reads his mind to learn how to release the Commandments
Tarmiel sees Mael bemoan his situation as Gowther
learns the spell, pulling back his attack that’s keeping Mael restrained.
This gives Mael the opportunity to blast Derriere,
seemingly killing her as the chapter ends with him saying that this is his
mercy to her as the Angel of Death
