One Piece is on break this week
Dr. Stone 53
Gen praises Senkuu for the water
wheel, though Senkuu says Chrome and Kaseki deserve the respect, though he also
observes the electricity isn’t coming in strong yet
Thinking they’ll need a container
for the electricity, he puts lead plates in a glass structure and soaks them in
sulfuric acid, serving as a rough battery.
Senkuu tells Chrome and Kaseki
they’ll need to make 5 more of those batteries and link them together, seen as
a lot of work by the craftsman considering how much they did on the waterwheel
in the last week
Putting the 5 rough batteries
together, they have a much better one, allowing Kinrou and Ginrou to not have
to put in the work spinning the dynamo wheel to generate electricity.
Senkuu says they need their manpower
for something else, Kohaku deducing that it allows them time to train more as
soldiers
Meanwhile, Senkuu, Chrome and Kaseki
are still working at making gears so they can build more waterwheels, Chrome
amazed at the structure and how it helps to make things work so much better
After they construct another
waterwheel, they connect it to the iron processing furnace, making that work
automated as well, the other villagers amazed, though Kokuyou deduces, like
Kohaku did, that this is just to make it so they can do other work, such as
preparing for winter
Everyone is acting in earnest to
prepare for winter, including bottling food and making wine, the latter another
part of the phone plan
Senkuu reveals to Gen that they’re
making a lightbulb now, though the precise nature of the work is much tougher
for Kaseki, finally getting motivated after 60 years
Chrome asks how they’re going to
keep the light from burning out like before, Senkuu explaining that with
mercury they’ll create a vacuum in the lightbulb and connect it to the
batteries.
It starts snowing, Senkuu thinking
this is the perfect opportunity, thinking it’ll be like a Christmas illumination,
connecting the lights to a tree, which amazes everyone in the village.
The chapter ends as Chrome has an
inspiration, thinking that with batteries and lights, they can explore deeper
in the caves for the materials they need, now ready to start excavating for the
ores required.
We Can’t Study 57
Rizu, after her incident with badly
cutting her own hair, is told by Fumino she should go to a salon to do so,
especially after not wanting to deal with Yuiga’s sister, who’s possessive of
her brother and cutting his hair
The owner of the salon Rizu steps
into, Karasuma, is looking for a “diamond in the rough” to give her amazing
treatment to, thinking Rizu must be that person, even though Makigami, her
assistant, thinks her boss is too weird and that’s why they don’t get a lot of
customers in the first place
Rizu thinks it’s fine, though she’s
confused at Karasuma’s inquiry about her supposedly being in love through the
scent of her hair, confirming she is going to meet Yuiga.
Karasuma, inspired by this, decides
to give Rizu an overall makeover, not even charging her much for the service,
even though Makigami thinks they should due to the laws in Japan on cosmetology
services
Yuiga wonders where Rizu is, though
when she appears before him, she’s so gorgeous and different from her usual
self he doesn’t even recognize her.
Thinking she’s trying to pick him up
as she sits next to him, Yuiga is more formal towards Rizu, even messaging her
phone, thinking she’s still not her.
But Rizu also misunderstands,
Karasuma having advised her that if a boy treats her differently, it means he’s
recognized her beauty and their relationship is deepening.
Rizu tries to solve the problem she
was working on, but she’s stuck. Yuiga helps, noting how the story, called “The
Changelings,” involves the Minister of the Left in ancient Japan having two
children, a feminine boy and a masculine girl, the boy raised as a princess.
The dissonance between his beauty and his sex is the concern of the line Rizu
is studying, but she still doesn’t quite get it
Yuiga notes how Rizu, not knowing
that she IS Rizu, is behaving similar to someone he knows, pointing out Rizu’s
traits and ultimately comparing her to a cute squirrel, which makes Rizu
relieved
But she’s also irritated, which she
doesn’t fully understand the reasoning behind.
She decides to ask Yuiga how she did
today, pressing the question, Yuiga still not realizing it’s Rizu that is
asking the questions about her studying
After they leave the library, Yuiga
is still wondering why this girl is following him, Rizu deciding to try the
last tactic Karasuma told her, asking him to come to her place
Thinking she’s trying to seduce him,
he asks to go to her place and talk to her parents, learning that she is Rizu
as her father asks him why he’s here to talk about something.
The chapter ends as Yuiga comments
on how Rizu has become more beautiful using the line from the work before,
Torikaebaya Monogatari.
Black Clover 152
Rhya thinks there’s no way
Mereoleona can beat them, the Crimson Lioness saying that he can go after Asta
after he beats her, the elf emphasizing that Asta’s grimoire and swords are
Licht’s, which makes sense when we think about him using Blade Magic in the
past.
Mereoleona says that with a 5 versus
1 handicap, there’s no better fight, Rhya and the others ready to eliminate
her.
Asta insists on trying to help
Mereoleona, but Zora says that they have to leave, being the best way to ensure
someone will survive this battle, not wanting to let Mereoleona’s decision go
to waste
Meanwhile, we see that the captain
of the Royal Knights is getting pushed back, the sheer power of the 5 elves
before her too much
But worse than that is the Snow
Magic user’s power affecting even Mereoleona, slowly dulling her senses like
what the human user tried to do in the Royal Knight’s Selection Exam
Mereoleona still manages to push
past various attacks, even being imprisoned in sandstone and blasting her way
out.
But Rhya slashes her with Dark
Magic, not willing to let her kill any of his allies in this fight.
In spite of thinking he’s beaten her
with his power, Mereoleona still manages to unleash more power at him, burning
the elf slightly with a beam of flame mana
The chapter ends as she says if he
wants to kill humans, then Rhya should make sure he kills Mereoleona for sure.
Boku no Hero Academia 178
We start off the chapter as Monoma
is complimenting Kendou on her outfit for the Miss Yuuei contest, thinking
she’s a shoe-in to win, though Hadou comments that it’s not for certain,
surprising the Class 1-B students
But Kenranzaki Bibimi shows up,
wondering why they’re not considering her, since she’s won previous contests,
the men saying this is truly a contest of females.
Mirio is heading to the festival
with Eri and Aizawa, explaining the itinerary of events
Midnight finds All Might at his desk
in the teacher’s area, All Might explaining that Deku went out to get some
things, though she finds it odd that he’s not here yet, things starting soon
Deku, using the elasticity Gentle
still has remaining on the crane, follows after them
Gentle tells La Brava he intended to
use her Quirk for escape, but he may be forced to do it in this situation
instead, Deku catching up to them again
Deku sees the air barriers that
Gentle’s made, using them to bounce himself into a position to attack, striking
Gentle by attacking at an angle that he can’t block with a barrier, even using
a barrier to bounce his attack at Gentle
As Gentle’s failure seems imminent,
La Brava remembers how she was isolated from her classmates, her admiration
something that creeped them out, being made fun of when she confessed her love
to someone in junior high
But Gentle inspired her, treating
her as someone that was important to him as a fan. And he accepted her devotion
without question when she approached him years ago
This love is revealed to be the
source of her Quirk’s power, simply called Love. As she confesses her love to
Gentle, it increases his physical attributes, particularly his strength,
letting him knock Deku away easily
He moves to knock Deku out with a
strike to the back of the neck, but as the chapter ends, Deku comments that
Gentle is still not as fast as other Villains he’s fought, not giving up as he
readies another attack
Seven Deadly Sins 261
Derriere cries out as Monspiet knocks her out of
danger, telling her he can’t tell her what he had kept hidden, the Purity also
saddened she can never hear those words
Monspiet ignites a massive amount of Hellfire,
trying to take himself and Estarossa out together.
Meanwhile, back at the main battle against the Demon
Clan, Howzer tells Guila she doesn’t need to worry about the Demons that fled
towards the capital, the group there ready to defend it.
But as he tells people to take the time they have
now to heal the wounded, Deathpierce and the other Pleiades say they should
just go ahead, thinking the power of Breath of Bless is such they don’t need
any assistance or support otherwise.
Elizabeth chimes in, saying that it’s not anything
so invincible an effect from Rueduciel, just dulling your sense of pain and
fear and pushing your body to its utmost limits
They don’t believe her, even saying she didn’t do
anything of use, just trying to pacify the Demons by talking to them, which
only succeeded in small numbers
But Sariel and Tarmiel comment that if it wasn’t for
Elizabeth’s efforts at healing everyone, then the situation would’ve been far
worse.
Elizabeth says she knows it’s naïve to hope that the
war can end without people suffering as they have, but she reminds everyone
that there’s someone who wants them to come home safe, King, Diane and Hawk all
impressed at how competent she seems now, though Elizabeth trips, still
somewhat a clutz now.
Gowther notices a presence coming towards the
battlefield, something crashing into the area.
It’s recognized to be a Ten Commandment, Howzer
telling the army to surround it.
The chapter ends as we see it’s Derriere after being
knocked away by Monspiet before, still in shock
