Seven Deadly Sins 80
Threader pushes past the knights that are stopping him
under the orders of the Holy Knights. He tries to slash through the door, but
the attack is reflected back at him, the mysterious Holy Knight explaining that
it’s a Perfect Cube, not allowing any attack in. The King tells Threader to not
be so reckless, that he cares about him as a comrade, but Threader insists on
trying to get in through by force even with the damage sustained.
The Holy Knight looks towards where Gil and Meliodas are
fighting, thinking it’s a stalemate, but realizes Gil’s actually being pressed
by Meliodas. Elizabeth insists Meliodas will win in spite of the Holy Knight
thinking otherwise. Meliodas sends a wave of slashes at Gil as he knocks him
off the tower. It looks like Meliodas may be able to win, but Hendricksen
attacks him from behind, Meliodas barely able to dodge.
Hendricksen has managed to defeat Arthur, but he’s more
interested in his partner, who just watched, neither supporting nor attacking
Hendricksen to aid Arthur.
Gil and Hendricksen tag team Meliodas, giving him some
problems.
Arthur is frustrated he couldn’t help, but his ally says
that he did well and should use Meliodas’ fight as an example for when he takes
over Britannia.
Meliodas seems to be keeping Gil and Hendricksen at bay,
Hendricksen impressed and summoning the mysterious Holy Knight, who appears
behind Meliodas.
After being frozen in an ice spell and breaking out,
Meliodas is knocked back by Hendricksen, Gil preparing to attack, but Meliodas
tries to push him back. He unleashes Iron Hammer of the Thunder Emperor again,
Meliodas trying to Full Counter, but the Holy Knight bends the attack to strike
Meliodas. The chapter ends as the three of them prepare to defeat Meliodas.
Magi 228
Setta is supporting the rear of the base, Tess regretful
that she got angry at her parents. He comforts her, saying they should believe
in them and provide the healing support they can as the battle progresses.
The group sees that the Cathedral District is surrounded by
an Isolation Barrier. Solomon’s group presses forward, ready to finish off the
Elder Council and David with their 12 Divine Staves. Sheba asks if Solomon is
okay; he responds that he’s prepared himself for this day since the beginning.
But as they burst in, it seems David has already been killed
by Arba, her squad more than enough, since the magic was virtually sealed by
the Isolation Barrier. Sheba remembers that Arba was created by David 100 years
ago, so he’s like a father to her as well.
The bodies of David and the elders turn into dolls, like
we’ve seen from members of Alma Toran, meaning they were just doubles and not
the real people.
Ugo wonders if they’ve beaten them, Solomon unclear. A
projection from Clairvoyance magic appears, showing that David and the Elder
Council are attacking the base, using this as a distraction.
The chapter ends as Solomon’s group prepares to leave, but
Ugo realizes they’re trapped by David’s mysterious spell.
World Trigger 63
Viza compliments Reiji, though he says he shouldn’t
feel bad, since no human who’s seen Organon for the first time has ever stood
against it.
We flashback to Reiji and Jin talking, Jin saying they’ll
come up against dangerous opponents. He tells Reiji that he should let the others
escape and buy time if they come up against humanoid Neighbors, since he trusts
Reiji as the best to do that.
Reiji turns the Shield he was using to a tiny blade, lodging
it in Viza’s leg before he Bails Out. Viza is again impressed, Hyuse telling
him they should go to capture the baby birds (C Rank agents). They unleash
Butterfly Shield, the magnets sending them flying, almost like a railgun.
Yotaro is frustrated that Reiji lost, asking why he didn’t
use his Full Arms (his ace in the hole, no doubt), Reiji focusing on getting
the data for the enemy Trigger and analyzing it. He assures Yotaro that they
haven’t lost yet.
Osamu and Karasuma’s group, with Chika in tow, finds they
can’t get into a transporter nearby to get to HQ. Usami says there might be
something going on at HQ, since she can’t contact them. Chika senses 2 enemies
coming and fast, Kyosuke amazed, since Reiji only Bailed Out recently.
It’s Viza and Hyuse, Viza complimenting Hyuse’s new Trigger.
Reiji contacts them, saying that Viza’s the one with the Black Trigger, meaning
Hyuse’s is apparently just a specialized one. Hyuse is told by Viza to capture
the trainees, while he takes on the others. Karasuma says he’ll handle them,
telling Osamu to get the trainees to the rendezvous point with Jin.
Suddenly, Jin appears, saying he’ll fight the Neighbors, and
Yuma is right behind him. He slams into Viza, Jin qualifying that they’ll both
be taking them on as the chapter ends.
Naruto 680
The group is falling into the lava, Kakashi wondering if
it’s genjutsu. But he senses it isn’t. Sasuke summons a hawk, catching Naruto,
even though he says they should get Kakashi and Sakura.
The two are okay, Kakashi having tied a kunai to a scroll
and used it as a rope to keep them above the lava, Obito also held up by a
kunai stabbing his body against the wall. Kakashi and Sakura confirm it’s real
when her headband falls into the lava. Kakashi wonders if they were teleported
here and how Sasuke could use the summoning technique.
Sasuke reminds Naruto that they are the only two who can
seal Kaguya and that if they die, the world is doomed. He tells Naruto that it
was coincidence that Kakashi and Sakura were nearby, but Naruto responds that
his body might just move on its own, like when Sasuke protected him back when
they were fighting Haku. Sakura is moved to tears by Naruto’s sentiment that
he’ll protect them.
The scroll starts to burn away, Kakashi and Sakura falling
into the lava. Kaguya fires a storm of needles at them, Sasuke blocking most of
them. A few stray needles hit the vital points on his hawk summon, but they’re
all saved by Naruto’s chakra arms, revealing he can essentially fly.
Elsewhere, the Edo Tensei Hokage are moving towards where
Kaguya and the others are, wondering what happened to Madara.
Naruto pulls everyone up, creating a clone to keep an eye on
Kakashi and Sakura. He squares off against Kaguya, holding off her attack,
getting pushed out of the volcano she apparently teleported them to. The
chapter ends as Sasuke attacks Kaguya from above after Naruto signals him.
Toriko 281
Komatsu is happy to see Branch, vomiting after drinking too
much. Coco almost does too, though Branch is more worried, since that’d be
toxic.
The group sobers up with some Ie Tea (or Yay Tea) and Branch
explains that he doesn’t get many humans here, since he doesn’t have any branch
restaurants in Human World. He only got into the rankings because of an
exhibition he did and the notoriety from that.
Toriko thanks Branch for helping Human World by bringing
ingredients from Gourmet World, Branch saying that it somewhat inconvenienced
them, since all they were left with were Takoyaki Testicles (literally, that’s
what the Japanese joke is).
Branch resents Midora for causing the situation, Toriko
saying that Midora is probably one of the strongest people around now.
Coco reminds Branch that they’re here to see the Daruma
Hermit, Branch saying that they’re lucky they got here when they did, since it
seems like Daruma Hermit might die soon. He has a physician from Human World
looking after him and he’s soaking in a Kappa Hot Spring.
Mappy suddenly appears, saying something’s changed with the
Daruma Hermit’s condition. We see that Atashino, the Gourmet Surgeon, and Melk
the First are with him and he seems to be stabilizing, though he also seems to
vacillate between being consciousness and unconsciousness, making Branch
frustrated. Atashino says he’ll be okay; he’s just excited after looking into
the female kappa bath, only irritating Branch further.
We focus more on Melk the First, who speaks to Komatsu,
Zebra able to hear his low voice clearly. The chapter ends as he explains Melk
will tell them about what happened a year and a half ago with the Bishokukai
and how to capture Acacia’s salad, AIR.
Toriko will be on break for at least a week or two.
Bleach 584
We resume on Ichigo’s attack rushing at Candice, who isn’t
fazed by it at all. Ichigo yells at her to dodge it, but she’s struck by it.
Elsewhere, Juhabach tells Jugram to utilize a key, Jugram
pointing his sword into the air, emanating the form of a snowflake shape that
sends beams of light in six directions. Juhabach speaks cryptically about being
grateful to those who showed them the path towards the light.
Remarkably, Candice has survived Ichigo’s attack, only
having lost her arm. She tells Giselle to restore it, Giselle excited at the
prospect. Apparently, she doesn’t have to use her blood for this; she can use
the reishi from her zombie corpses to restore lost limbs and such. She even
says she can’t turn Quincies into zombies with her power unless they’re dead
(making me wonder about Bambietta’s relevance)
The others continue to bicker, but they’re all attacked by
Bazz B’s Burner Finger, the Heat wanting to take their prey from under their
noses, since they technically planned to do it with Gremmy and Kenpachi’s
fight. But 3 other Quincies: Pepe, Nanana and the mysterious Quincy who shot
out Shunsui’s eye, also appear, wanting to take Ichigo out. The 4 female Stern
Ritter managed to survive with Giselle’s abilities, meaning it’s 8 against 1
with Ichigo in potential danger with this much power against him.
Lilitotto says there’s no dividing this up: whoever kills
Ichigo wins.
Suddenly, a beam of light appears off in the distance,
Ichigo stunned by it. This is presumably the same light Jugram activated with
the key.
The chapter ends as Juhabach tells Jugram and Uryuu it’s
time to become one with him. What this means is unknown, so we’ll have to wait
until next week.
Fairy Tail 388
Charle starts to say things are hopeless, but Wendy, after
cutting her hair as a sign of her resolve, says they must keep fighting.
Erza’s being pushed back by Minerva, but even after getting
her sword broken, she counterattacks with unexpected power, punching her to the
ground. Minerva’s memories of abuse from her father enrage her and she
recovers, but Erza continues to have the advantage. She knocks her back again,
saying that she should come to her senses. Even if Erza disagrees with what
Minerva’s doing, she knows that she has people special to her and she should
accept herself, even with the weakness her father made her loathe.
Marde Guile appears behind them (meaning he wasn’t fully defeated
by the Spirit King), noting that Erza is too presumptuous to speak of such
things as a human.
He attacks Minerva, intending to kill her, but she’s saved
by Rogue and Sting as the chapter ends on them preparing to fight Marde.
