2 more new series in June, Martial Master Asumi by Kawada, the author of Hinomaru Zumou in Shounen Jump prior. Nito Asumi is a cowardly kid who doesn’t like conflict, but finds he has a talent for martial arts, due to his grandfather, now suffering dementia, having trained him in the family style. Nito meets a third year girl at his high school who’s aspiring to be an MMA fighter and eventually is drawn into MMA after his friend goes to a nearby gym

 

 

 

Ice Head Gil by Ikuyo Hachiya, a newcomer, has a story set in what appears to be Viking inspired. Our lead is the son of a great warrior who was seemingly framed for betraying the kingdom he protected. He fights off a lich, protecting the village he lives in with his aunt and then sets off on a journey to discover more about the legends and his father’s whereabouts

 

 

 

 

World Trigger 233-234

 

Ninomiya and the others tell Chika she needs to speak up in terms of how to improve herself, the battle sims meant to assist in recognizing where she’s lacking. We see the rankings of the squads at the end of the 3rd and final day as well as their strategies with the challenge presented.

 

 

 

Murakami’s squad is seen discussing their tactics and how it was meant to be more pragmatic rather than ignoring the data and constantly changing strategies as other teams did in an attempt to subvert expectations. And overall scores are even more telling in terms of particular strengths for each squad

 

 

 

Nue’s Onmyouji 4-7

 

Kazusa and Gakuro decide to take Nue’s direction to a spot where spirits might converge and team up to defeat one that merged into a higher level form. And Gakuro agrees to team up with her, Kazusa seeing some promise in him, not aware of the agreement with Nue

 

 

 

Gakuro is told to get Kazusa’s contact info and he learns from other students she’s actually one of the school’s 3 idols, beautiful girls that don’t want romance in spite of turning every boy’s head. They go around the classrooms after school to search for spirits and a rumor spreads that Gakuro and Kazusa are dating. It gets worse and the student council president gets involved, an arm wrestling match the way to resolve things, since the president is possessed by a spirit. Afterwards, Kazusa gives Gakuro her LINE info, the first boy she’s done it for

 

 

A new transfer student arrives, Shiroha Fujino, shown as an exorcist before that helped Gakuro and Kazusa. But we learn Shiroha wants to contract with and steal Nue’s power, Nue approaching them seemingly unaware of the threat

 

 

Shiroha and Gakuro are invited to the occult club room where they play games with Nue, but Shiroha eventually figures out Nue’s identity and reveals a spirit she’s contracted with, Kyokotsu, a battle about to begin with Gakuro at the center as Nue’s present contractor

 

 

Fabricant 100 24-27

 

We learn No. 100 was a Fabricant intended to have the ability to harness spontaneous combustion, even if that means the body would be burned, the memory of the failure in using it repressed until now. And when she kills No. 91 when he attacks No. 1, Ashibi realizes she will keep him alive, even if it means killing other Fabricants, No. 1 escaping, Ashibi enraged

 

 

 

No. 1 had stolen No. 99’s core in his escape and in the aftermath, No. 100 proposes she can offer her assistance in exchange for Mortsafe providing her with new arms, hers too damaged to use at the moment, as well as information on the doctor and the human name she remembers, Saya. The leader agrees, the next mission to find Ayako, who disappeared, under suspicion of helping No. 1. Her brother, Kugui, volunteers to go, also having her Oculus Prison technique

 

We see the group on a train ride, Kugui stopping a robbery with No. 100’s help. They stop at a station, Kugui explaining that Ayako was seen in 2 different places at the same time, meaning there’s an imposter. His advice is to just take her out regardless, but Ashibi feels like something’s off as they arrive at a festival that was nearby as well

 

The suspicions seem to be accurate, Ayako appearing before Kugui after he goes through a festival attraction that seeks a chosen hero to save the princess. But Ashibi and No. 100 discover Ayako tied up after noticing a slight sound of someone breathing in a house of mirrors

 

 

 

 

4 Knights of the Apocalypse 107+107.5-110

 

Gawain explains that she swapped places with Rosebank, the Chaos Knight Percival found, when they were flying on a summoned Purgatory beast. She changed her appearance to match hers and is now engaged in combat. Mortlach brings up Gawain’s inability to feel love, Gawain responding that many things about her are unclear.  Percival’s sword is stolen by Rosebank in spite of his kindness and Zeldris tells Tristan’s group that the problem with getting to Camelot is the door is on the back of the Behemoth, a dangerous colossal beast which has awakened

An extra chapter shows us Chion’s childhood, captured at the age of 3 by Vivian, who obsessed over not only Gilthunder, but other men in Liones. This explains in part Chion’s twisted personality, and yet we’re told he was kidnapped by Vivian again later, though the chapter concludes with him meeting Jade and Isolde after escaping from Vivian

 

Returning to the Behemoth situation, Zeldris explains more about its nature, only awakening when great changes occur, such as when the Demon King was defeated 16 years ago. And Percival, practically a toddler when he was in the Demon Realm, not only restored demons from near death, but with the life force he possessed, managed to put the Behemoth back into a deep sleep. With the Coffin of Eternal Darkness at risk of being completed, but a Flamebane Moon causing a fiery storm on the Behemoth, this gives the group time, Lancelot saying he’ll train the group

 

Rosebank meets back up with the Chaos Knights, who have captured Gawain. But she holds back on revealing the piece of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness, Percival’s kindness affecting her. The plan is to kill Percival, so the prophecy can’t come to fruition. Meanwhile, Lancelot’s training starts: Donny increasing the range of his Telekinesis, Nasiens running to get more stamina, Anne’s magic having improved and her needing to take time to understand it and Percival training in the sword, Lancelot’s 2nd challenge Macduff’s fighting style

 

The training progresses, everyone slowly moving forward, Percival’s magic still a mystery to Lancelot and Anne still unclear on how her magic works, seemingly a physical effect on someone lying, in this case Nasiens, extending from her original ability to detect lies.  And it affects her, both of them seemingly lying about their feelings for Percival. Meanwhile, Tristan is asked to have a sword fighting session with one of the demons

 

 

 

 

My Hero Academia 390-392

 

Shoto arrives and stops Dabi finally, his family’s ice powers contributing in a way as well, the Todoroki family still trying to resolve things, while Toga’s fight with Ochako continues elsewhere

 

 

 

We see Toga’s Sad Man Parade with Twice’s Double Quirk getting close to breaking through, Ochako confronting Toga, who she claims has twisted the love somehow, her anger at Heroes making it different

 

Toga’s past is expanded upon a bit, Ochako’s attempts to convince her still not working because Himiko feels so alien and betrayed by society, that Ochako couldn’t possibly understand her struggles

 

 

 

 

 

One Piece 1085-1086

 

It is revealed that the Will of D resides in the Nefeltari family as well, part of the 20 Kings turning against the World Government, the truth still in shadows as Imu and the Five Elders attack Sabo. At Cobra’s request, he leaves him behind to send a message to Luffy and Vivi. Wapol, having seen through a hole in the wall, panics and bursts through wall, inadvertently freeing Vivi, who’s captured by Cipher Pol

 

 

 

Wapol and Vivi stowaway on a ship, Morgans offering to help them, while Cipher Pol and others continue to search for Vivi, who is unaware of her father’s death. Meanwhile, the Five Elders agree to mobilize a weapon on Imu’s command, the Mother Frame. And Sabo explains how he arrived at Lulusia and had to escape, sending his message via relay. Ivankov and Dragon discuss how the weapon could’ve been made by Vegapunk, but Imu, rumored to have been around since 800 years ago, could’ve utilized an Ancient Weapon. And in the present, we learn Myosgard has been executed for his actions at Fish Man Island

 

 

 

Black Clover 361-363

 

Julius’ capacity to clone himself with the Soul, Blood, Bone and Body magic means he is able to overwhelm everyone with countless versions of himself to fight. But we see a flashback, the Black Bulls approaching the Witch Queen for help. She agrees, combining her efforts along with Dorothy and Vanessa, the other 2 strongest witches, to form a compound spell, the Door of Fate, in order to bring Asta back from Hi No Kuni

 

 

 

Mimosa and Marx inspire everyone to keep up the fight and while the Black Bulls are preparing to open the Door of Fate, Julius sends Damnatio, turned into a Paladin, to stop them

 

Damnatio’s magic turns things against the witches, but the Black Bulls utilize combination magic to redirect the attacks from the support monsters. And Morgen’s fight with Yami is briefly visited, but not progressing for now
