We Never Learn 96

Uruka and Fumino follow Yuiga in disguise as he heads off to various part time jobs, wondering what he’s doing. But it becomes more complicated when Oomori reveals that Yuiga rejected the VIP recommendation, to the shock of the others.

Fire Force 156-157

Ritsu’s NecroPyro lets her revive the 2nd Division soldiers who are killed to fight against their allies. Meanwhile, we see Hajika of the 2nd Division use his ability to perceive body heat to fight effectively. But he’s killed by Orochi of the Purple Smoke Knights, putting Juggernaut and Kotatsu in danger.

Orochi’s ability brutally hurts Kotatsu, who’s able to resist, but is still at major risk. But Takeru, Juggernaut, steps in, overcoming his crippling fear of fire to save Kotatsu, who he deeply cares for.

My Hero Academia 214

Deku tries to fight Shinsou without his Quirk, while the rest of the team assists or fights their own battle, Mineta and AShido teaming up to keep the others besides Monoma and Shinsou occupied. But we see Deku remember the vestige and begins to use the Black Whip Quirk.

Black Clover 190

The Black Bulls, minus Asta and Noelle, hold off the elves while the Magic Knight Captains, including Fuegoleon and Mereoleona, go with Asta, Noelle and Mimosa to stop the reincarnation magic from completing.

Seven Deadly Sins 297

Escanor pleads with Mael to take back the Sunshine Grace in spite of his reluctance because of past crimes, the Archangel agreeing to have the Lion’s Sin lend it to him. Meanwhile, the First Demon’s ability of Climax activates, his body slowly destroying itself, but his overall power increasing exponentially in exchange. Mael arrives, his Sunshine allowing him to dispel the darkness in Camelot and ready to face off against Zeldris.

At a school marathon race, Yuiga talks with Rizu about how he’s uncertain regarding Uruka, but regains confidence, deciding that he should try his best to catch up to Rizu, Uruka and Fumino because they’re trying so hard themselves

The 8th and 2nd split up into groups, each led by one of the 8th’s members as they explore the Nether. But they come up against Infernals created by the Necro Pyro member of the White Hoods, called the Knights of the Purple Smoke

We see Zoro encounter the people of Ebisu, who always try to smile in spite of their hardships. In the present, Big Mom’s forces are moving on Wano, only thwarted at the waterfall’s top by King of Kaidou’s crew. Sanji fights against Page One of the Headliners, seemingly ready to use his family’s tech bracelet he was given to hide his identity

Deku is told that he has 6 Quirks from the predecessors besides All Might that are hidden within One For All and to maintain control of his emotions properly. The 5th match continues in spite of All Might’s concerns, Deku ready to fight more carefully.

Black Clover 189

Asta frees Gauche from the elf magic, the soul inside him admitting that he was angry at humans, but doesn’t need to blame people like Asta and the others, only the royals that were so cruel to them and even the princess. The group previously fighting Dorothy arrives, everyone healing up and ready to find Yami

Seven Deadly Sins 295-296

Hendricksen uses Purge to separate Rueduciel from Margaret’s body, staying behind to let Gilthunder get away with his love. Meanwhile, King fights Zeldris, who’s defending the Original Demon. But Elizabeth and Mael realize that the 4 Commandments he had previously absorbed are heading towards Camelot as well, Merascylla’s Commandment escaping from Merlin. Zeldris still plans to try and use the power to stop Meliodas before he absorbs the others.

Merlin tries to stop the time of Meliodas’ coffin with forbidden magic, King and Escanor holding off Zeldris and the Original Demon. Hendricksen assures Rueduciel that he still admires the Archangel in spite of his faults. Rueduciel decides not to use Hendricksen as a vessel, but defends Merlin as Escanor is knocked away, saved by Mael as he’s near death

Weekly Shounen Jump is on break until January 20th, so we’ll likely have another double issue with Weekly Shounen Magazine’s chapters. Also World Trigger came out this time around

World Trigger 172-173

Kuruma and Kou keep Yuma and Hyuse at bay, but with a specially placed Escudo, they split the pair up, Kuruma getting targeted by Osamu. Kou tries to fight both Yuma and Hyuse, but is defeated by more teamwork. Kuruma is defeated by Yuzuru, who escapes 2 of Azuma squad, but the leader snipes him, leaving the battle to just Azuma and Tamakoma-2 squads

The battle becomes more complex as Osamu has to Bail Out, the point total close in Tamakoma-2 getting to Rank 2 rather than Kageura Squad. Chika blasts a massive hole in the mall with her Meteor to disrupt Azuma Squad’s Dummy Beacon strategy, Hyuse and Yuma needing three points to get their squad to Rank 2.

A new popular mascot draws Asumi’s attention and after Yuiga gets a plushie of it in a raffle, she gets it from Fumino, who was gifted it by Yuiga. But she then gives it to a kid, Yuiga wanting to see her happy and making a smaller version himself, wanting to see Asumi happy, more romantic tension building

Fire Force 154

Maki thinks about whether she made the right choice going back to the military, while we shift over to the 8th starting a meeting with the 2nd Division’s leader for the investigation of the Nether

One Piece 929

Franky chases after the blueprints which have changed hands many times across the Flower Capital. Orochi starts the celebration with Komurasaki and others, previously having demanded Vegapunk be given over to Wano by the World Government. And X Drake, along with Hawkins and another Headliner, arrive to stop Sanji

My Hero Academia 212

Deku is aided by Shinsou’s brainwashing, the aspiring Hero trying to be a better Hero like Deku, Ochako also inspired by his dedication and her own concern for him. But Deku is told by one of his predecessors to be more careful with One For All’s power in the future
