WSR 12-23-19 (Final Weekly Post)

While I will not cancel the blog outright, the scanlation groups dropping out means that scheduling would have to be pushed forward, to say nothing of other factors. Seeing as this is the last issue of 2020, I think it’s best to change things going forward without excising it entirely. A monthly recap of the chapters is probably more functional and works for scheduling purposes as well (actual new content per month with more quality and quantity together)

Yuiga, Rizu and Fumino all learn they passed their exams, Mafuyu congratulating them (Sekijo the target of Rizu’s anger for spoiling it before she looked). And Uruka, after telling her parents she’s going overseas, meets up with Yuiga and tells him her true feelings 

My Hero Academia 255

 Aizawa seems to stimulate something in Black Mist’s mind, reminding him of his identity as Shirakumo, though they don’t get far, just the word “hospital”. Meanwhile, Hawks has a plan involving a hospital and Shigaraki is released by Daruma, now fully powered

Fire Force 201

Hibana and the others escape, briefly learning that Sumire's Ignition ability is vibration based. We also learn (as the audience) that Sumire is the 7th Pillar, Hibana discerning that the Evangelist's plan is to start a second Cataclysm. Meanwhile, Arthur is approached by Vulcan, suggesting that they can find a "legendary" metal to reforge Excalibur after Dragon destroyed it

One Piece 966

After a fight between Whitebeard and Rogers’ crews, they reconcile as rivals. Oden joins Roger’s crew, seeking out more information on the Poneglyphs and the truth of the world 

Black Clover 234

Yuno is given a flashback by Ralph, son of the captain of the guards, who took Yuno to safety when the Zolgratis family staged a coup, killing the royalty. Afterwards, he’s contacted, Zeno of the devil-magic users attacking with other members of the Spade Kingdom at the Golden Dawn headquarters.

Seven Deadly Sins 336

Arthur’s powers, seemingly connected to Purgatory, thrust the Seven Deadly Sins into a bizarre world briefly. But Merlin helps him control the powers, revealing that Arthur is channeling the essence of an entity even older than the Demon King and Supreme Deity

Ibara activates the device, petrifying Yoh and does it again with a delay of 15 minutes, sending Oarashi to the center of the island. Chrome tells Senkuu that he observed the ray’s expansion, that it was constant. And Oarashi has actually swallowed the device thanks to Ibara’s meddling and it activates, Chrome telling Senkuu only he can stop it as the ray continues outward petrifying people

We Never Learn 140

Everyone completes their exams, Uruka's difficulty more focused on her English interview. And they all connect together through Yuiga's notebooks that helped them in their studies over the year

Aizawa and Yamada both talk to Kurogiri, trying to bring out Shirakumo’s memories that may lay dormant in the Noumu, similar to High End

Fire Force 200

Sumire fights back after revealing that Iris is the 8th Pillar a doppelganger of Amaterasu’s flame itself. And using her Ignition ability, Sumire summons the children who were thought dead in the fire as demon doppelgangers. We also learn that the cataclysm 200 years ago was a failure, attempting to form more Pillars and merge Adolla with this world.

One Piece 965

Oden travels with Whitebeard, he and Toki having Momonosuke and Hiyori over a few years. We learn that Orochi has indeed been plotting to take over Wano, his grandfather seeking to be shogun, but thwarted by Sukiyaki being born. Meanwhile, Oden and Whitebeard’s crew meet up with Roger on an island

Black Clover 233

Rill stops Charmy’s rampage to gain food, not realizing he’s inspired by her more grown-up dwarf hybrid form she showed in the past. We learn from the visitor to Hage Village, from the Spade Kingdom, that Yuno is a prince of the original ruling family in the Spade Kingdom

Seven Deadly Sins 335

Merlin brings everyone to the lake where the immense magic from Meliodas’ reflected Full Counter lies, using it to unlock a power within Arthur as he’s resurrected as well, starting to become the King of Chaos, because of Merlin being chosen by the Priestess of Chaos in the distant past
