Gen tricks Ryusui into paying money to be one of the 3 people on the balloon, Chrome rushing back and choosing a Joker with the mentalist’s sleight of hand assisting. They then launch into the air to explore the landscape

We Never Learn 93

Yuiga helps Mafuyu take care of her baby cousin while her parents and aunt are out of the country, having various mishaps, but things going well. Miharu, unfortunately, misunderstands things when the baby starts a video call, thinking Yuiga and her sister are still in an relationship

Fire Force 151-153

There’s a small story starting with Assault, a member of the White Hoods, going after Tamaki, training to avoid her accidental erotic situations that come up, realizing that he may be in love with her.

Maki meets with her family, where her brother Takigi, a detective, asks her about her visit to the Nether. He later explores it and discovers a disturbing laboratory, possibly connected to Joker. 

There’s a White Hood that uses a suicide bomb tactic, injuring Takigi. But afterwards, the Imperial Army tries to recall Maki from the 8th, Hinawa insisting she go in spite of her not wanting to leave

One Piece 928

We learn of Komurasaki manipulating men to give her money and then spending it all while promising that they’ll be together once she’s freed of being a courtesan. Meanwhile, Momonosuke thinks his sister Hiyori could still be alive, but only intends to save her once they win the war against Orochi

My Hero Academia 211

Deku’s power continues to go berserk, Uraraka approaching him and asking Shinsou for help, while Deku worries he’s going to hurt someone.

Black Clover 187

Asta manages to fend off Gauche and Marie’s elf magic attacks, but has to be saved by his friends when he’s tricked at the last minute. But Henry seems to have some idea to try and save the two from their possession, Asta’s Demon Ruin sword able to negate the causal connection between magic effects.

 

Seven Deadly Sins 294

Mael reincarnates Oslow and Derriere into new bodies somewhere with their previous memories, willing to take the punishment and Elizabeth telling him they want his help to stop the Holy War. Diane and King are ready to head out as Mael comes back with Elizabeth and Gowther. Escanor fights against the First Demon, trying to hold it off, both he and Merlin surprised when Chastiefol strikes the opponent, King and company arriving to help

Shonen Jump is making a big change, expanding the cover of their audience by giving more access to free manga and simulpubbing more series, including Kimetsu no Yaiba and other well known series that have come out recently. And the cost of subscription won’t change, just limited to monthly from what they have said. The magazine format is gone, but they will still simulpub all the series and much more, and with the subscription you get access to a massive library of over 10000 chapters

The last new series is Gokutei Higuma or Hell Warden Higuma, by Natsuki Hokami. A girl, Ayaha, meets Higuma, the great grandchild of the temple priest. She's plagued by a problem of stealing even though she clearly has a strong sense of justice and Higuma deduces it's a Sudama, an evil spirit escaped from hell. But after she returns home, Ayaha's brother is revealed to also be possessed by a stronger spirit, Higuma taking her feelings and becoming strong enough to stop him, Ayaha recruited as a Hell Jailer alongside Higuma, a Hell Warden tasked by Enma to capture all the escaped spirits.

Dr. Stone 87

After making a loom for Yuzuriha, she makes the cloth necessary for the balloon. But Senkuu and Gen get the idea to use the breathable fabric left over and Yuzuriha makes lots of fancy clothes that are then sold to Ryusui, upper class by nature. This way, they can motivate people with a cash prize to make even more thread.

We Never Learn 92

Rizu tries to spoil Yuiga, accidentally treating him like the bunnies she used to raise. After she’s accidentally hypnotized as well, she confronts Yuiga after he admits he might want to give up the VIP recommendation. When he claims that isn’t a good idea, she says he should think more about himself and that she will confide in him if he’s worried

Fire Force 148-150

Shinra goes with Iris to the church’s baptism center to properly prepare the weapons of the 8th for purifying Infernals. He meets up with a former member of the 1st division, who says that even if the Preacher was involved with forming the Church of the Holy Sol, it’s still important to people and isn’t necessarily less effective because of its possibly evil origins

Iris takes Shinra to see the grave of her sisters from the convent she lived in when she was young, Hibana having made it gaudy. But a priestess nearby becomes an Infernal soon after Iris asks Shinra what he thinks about the Holy Sol Temple. They stop the Infernal and Shinra assures Iris that she should still believe in the Sol Temple’s teachings and serve as a sort of light for the 8th division

My Hero Academia 210

Deku’s team is manipulated by Monoma’s strategies and, Nirengeki, Reiko and Kodai’s Quirks combine to nearly expose Uraraka’s group separated from Deku. Meanwhile, All Might is told about Shimura Nana’s dream of One For All and Deku’s Quirk starts to go out of control suddenly during the match.

Black Clover 186

Gauche and Marie’s elf souls utilize a combination magic that paralyzes and seals the magic of anyone in view of his mirrors and her Eye Magic. Asta breaks free, Gordon, Grey and Henry all released as well as they mobilize to save their friend

Seven Deadly Sins 293

Ban, using his new power, saves Elaine and others from the Demons. But Elaine’s life force is nearly depleted, Ban giving up his immortality to revive her, the two finally reunited

No Fire Force delays, the scanlation group is playing catch up, so I’ll be covering a few chapters a week myself.

Jump Start this week is Ne0;lation by Tomohide Hirao and Mizuki Yoda. It features a brother and sister hassled by thugs for a debt their deceased parents owed and the lead, Daigo, meets Arata One, otherwise called Ne0, a genius hacker, or cracker in this case (doing illegal things), who helps them, intending to clean up the town and take it over as a "wizard" hacker

World Trigger 170-171

Kuga and Hyuse get up to the battle between Kageura and Suzunari, cutting off Kageura’s leader with Escudo and dealing a serious blow with a surprise tactic from Hyuse.

Kitazoe bursts in to help Kageura, but Kuga takes him out, avoiding his Meteora attack to try and take him down as well. Kageura Bails Out from Trion leakage, but the point goes to Kou from Suzunari because he dealt the most damage before it happened. Hyuse continues to use Asteroid rather than Viper, against Osamu’s plan, but he assures the leader they will win this as they move to clash again with Suzunari

World Trigger will return either January or February, Jump SQ may take the entire month of January off for New Years

Dr. Stone 86

Ryusui, after getting Senkuu to agree to sell him the rights to the oil they’ll get in Shizuoka, starts printing currency and creating a situation where people amass the money. Chrome’s group, including Ukyo and Kohaku, explores the area, telling Senkuu how drastically the landscape has changed, likely from Mount Fuji erupting several times. Gen starts to sabotage the currency by spreading rumors and Senkuu suggests they start making balloons to explore the sky

We Never Learn 91

Uruka admits she’s going abroad, saying the kiss was just practice for overseas greetings, though she’s told it was actually supposed to be on the cheek by her friends. Yuiga is studying with Rizu, who starts to notice he’s acting odd, using hypnosis to make him open to questioning. He admits he feels useless while his students are pursuing their passions and Rizu tells him that he can act spoiled with her, even though he feels like it’s wrong

Fire Force 145-147

Charon deflects the ray with sheer force of will and his own impressive abilities, Kurono fighting Nataku and stopping him, since he, in his own twisted way, wants to keep Nataku safe, mostly so he can torment him in his weakness as a child, the White Hoods leaving him to guard the 6th Adora Burst

Shinra, Oubi and Licht talk with the president of Haijima, who proposes an alliance so they can both pursue the White Hoods and the Preacher. After we learn that a person is indeed inside the Amaterasu reactor, it turns out Haijima is searching for another Adora Burst user for a 2nd power source. Vulcan says he’ll make a generator without the need for that sacrifice and Nataku continues the experiments with Kurono, seemingly more humane now in some way

One Piece 927

Sanji beats up yakuza under Kyoshiro trying to intimidate him for protection money and we learn that Komurasaki, a great courtesan, has been summoned to Orochi’s banquet, along with Robin, the shogun intending to take Komurasaki for himself.

One Piece is on break next week and likely won’t be back until late December, since Jump is going on a break soon

My Hero Academia 209

The fifth round begins, Deku preparing to surpass Bakugou with his own strategy, while Shinsou’s team is also wary of Deku’s One For All power

Black Clover 185

Luck has an idea to counter Dorothy, after she seals the doors summoned, to make her imagine the actual Dorothy, sealed by the elf soul, is in the dream world, the two fighting, since they have the same magic. This causes Glamour World to start collapsing and Luck and Magna combine their spells to attack Dorothy once they’re freed.

Seven Deadly Sins 292

Merlin’s torture of Cusack is interrupted as Gowther’s memory manipulation starts to come undone, Rueduciel especially shocked by the revelation of Estarossa’s identity. But then Chandler and Cusack reveal they were a great demon made by the Demon King himself and fuse into their true form, Merlin thinking they can’t possibly win now. Ban returns from Purgatory, ready to fight alongside Diane, King and Elizabeth
