World Trigger 35
Everyone’s shocked at Kazama’s challenge to Osamu,
Arashiyama asking whether this is another of Kido’s orders. Osamu is sure he
wouldn’t stand a chance, but he knows he also needs to know Kazama’s style even
a bit if his group wants to achieve A Rank status and be able to go to the
Neighbor world, so he accepts.
The battle starts as most of the people in the room leave,
only Yuma and the A Rank members still watching. Osamu notes that Kazama’s a
dual fencer with Scorpion, Kazama observing that Osamu uses the Raygust as a
shield and then fires, a defense Gunner strategy. Kazama uses a Chameleon
Trigger and quickly stabs at Osamu’s Trion supply, defeating him. But it’s
training mode, so they continue on, Kazama trying the same strategy, Osamu
activating Raygust’s shield.
He’s defeated again, and it’s shown that he’s defeated
multiple times after that, the battle seeming hopelessly in Kazama’s favor.
Karasuma says that Osamu should be able to figure out the weakness of the
Chameleon Trigger, which Yuma expresses interest in, since he doesn’t know much
about Border’s Triggers yet. Osamu notes that Kazama reappears to attack, so he
theorizes that he can’t use other Triggers when invisible, using Asteroid to
attack and try to find Kazama’s position.
Kazama still defeats him, used to that strategy of Gunners.
The others note he doesn’t stand chance. Kitora even asks Karasuma to stop the
battle, Karasuma wondering why she’s worried about him. Yuma says that Osamu
knows he can’t win, he’s just trying to gain combat experience, which Kitora
thinks is ridiculous, since he can’t gain experience unless his goal is victor,
in her opinion.
The battle ends as Kazama is bored. They fought 20 times and
Osamu couldn’t even scratch him. Kazama notes that Osamu’s barely qualified for
B rank and wonders if it was really worth it for Jin to give up his Black
Trigger. Osamu is shocked to hear this, Kazama explaining how Yuma’s enlistment
was dependent on Jin giving up his special weapon. Osamu is amazed that Jin
made such a sacrifice and the chapter ends as he challenges Kazama to another
battle.
Bleach 554
Bazz B comments on how quickly Cang Du was defeated, leaving
him to his death. Toushirou moves to help Matsumoto, but faints from expending
so much power at once.
Juhabach is told that the Bankai have returned to their
captains, Uryuu asking whether he had predicted this, which he responds
affirmatively.
Bambietta, meanwhile, is griping about how some of the Stern
Ritter are complaining about losing something they stole. She continues on,
noting that her target wasn’t even in Seireitei, so she just immediately lost
contact with his Bankai. She then discovers that her 4 “attendants”, revealed a
while ago, have disappeared, fuming with anger and causing a huge explosion as
a result. Komamura then appears, in a new helmet, a new suit of armor overall.
Bambietta says he should’ve waited until she leveled more of
the Seireitei and Shinji appears behind her, saying that he wasn’t willing to
wait, unleashing Sakanade on her. He’s even trained to have Sakanade reverse
his words, further disorienting someone. Or maybe he just practiced speaking
backwards, I’m not entirely sure.
Back where Juhabach and Uryuu are, he says he did predict
this, but that it’s all the better, since now the Quincy can unleash their full
power: the Vollstandig. It makes the Stern Ritter almost overjoyed, since the
stealing of Bankai was more to spite their enemies than to actually use them
against the original users.
The Stern Ritter unleash Vollstandig, saying the Soul
Reapers will regret reacquiring their Bankai, since they weren’t able to use Vollstandig
with the stolen Bankai. Now they’re in their element
The chapter ends as Kisuke gets a call from Ichigo.
Naruto 652
After the successful attack on Obito, Naruto has managed to
pull out the Bijuu chakra from Obito, since Naruto has a bit of most of the
Bijuu’s chakra in him now.
They start the tug of war, like when Naruto was trying to
tame Kurama, pulling out the chakra from Obito the goal. But the Ichibi and
Hachibi don’t respond since Naruto doesn’t have their chakra. Gaara and
Killerbee help Naruto, since they were either the original host or the present
host.
The plan is to draw out the Bijuu chakra from Obito so he’ll
be just a shell and the God Tree won’t be able to bloom
The God Tree’s roots stop moving, Sandaime interpreting this
as Obito losing control. Shikamaru then communicates with everyone to initiate
a plan he’s had in mind.
Naruto begins to see Obito’s memories, Kurama warning him
not to waver because of that. Obito says he’s the same as the Sage of the Six
Paths, starting to pull back his chakra. But Sasuke gives his aid, as well as
the 9 that Naruto gave Rasengan to. Shikamaru then reveals the plan to use
everyone in the Ninja alliance’s chakra. Minato extends his chakra tentacles to
people can grab them, his own chakra connected with Naruto and Kurama. The
sheer power allows the group to succeed
We shift to Obito’s inner world, Naruto’s conflict with him
a starkly one sided affair. Obito has no one, while Naruto has virtually all
the ninja world behind him. Obito sees himself on the other side, wondering if
he’s beginning to regret his actions. Naruto reflects that Obito’s like him: he
wanted to become Hokage. Obito denies this, saying that was in the past. But
Naruto says he’s going to rip off the façade Obito’s put up and reveal his true
self as the chapter concludes.
Toriko 255
Midora releases the huge barrage of Meteor Spice, leaving
with a dark look on his face. But it turns out he didn’t finish Ichiryuu off,
leaving him to die, it seems. Midora asks whether Minority World is active,
Ichiryuu blowing it off. Midora then responds that ultimately Ichiryuu’s not
worth killing anymore, since when he went all out, Ichiryuu didn’t seem to
stand a chance. And he even speaks as if Ichiryuu could recover, but at this
point, he’s very close to death, like the people he’s wanting to punish with
Meteor Spice.
Ichiryuu says people won’t die from that, though the food
shortage might be a problem, since the Gourmet Eclipse is coming again in the
near future. He then speaks that his Full Course will need to be prepared and
that he knows someone can do that. He’s hidden it away, similar to Acacia,
though I think he’s had Toriko get a few of the ingredients before, like BB
Corn.
The Meteor Spice wreaks havoc on cities nearby, an old man
almost killed, but saved by Mansam’s pet, Ricky. Even the Giraffe birds fight
against the Meteor Spice, their newly regenerated monster heads firing laser
blasts at the comets.
Elsewhere, Setsuno blocks some of the attacks as well as
Jirou, both fighting in their own ways: Setsuno with air pressure and Jirou
with his amazing punch that he can control the path of.
Zonge is trying to act tough in the face of this, saying
it’s like an RPG with the final boss.
Sani wonders if the others are okay. Zebra breaking out of
the roots, wondering where Komatsu is, since he’s out of his hearing range.
Frohze appears, noting that this must’ve been within
Acacia’s predictions for the future Gourmet Age.
Meanwhile, Ichiryuu says that there is an enemy they must
defeat, but it won’t be them anymore, implying the future generations he’s
raised will do so. We see Starjun flying away, knocking back some of the Meteor
Spice and carrying Komatsu back to the Bishokukai headquarters.
The chapter ends as Toriko is surprisingly healed, though
the arm and leg he lost are much darker, suggesting his inner Gourmet Cells and
such are part of the reason he miraculously recovered from that near death
situation. He awakens, no doubt his reaction a focal part of the next chapter,
if I had to guess.
Fairy Tail 357
We start the chapter introducing a few more yet unnamed members
of the 9 demons of Tartarus, Franmalth, a short stocky guy in a bug like shell,
Torafusa, a more reptilian demon, Ezel, a guy with spiky fur and a hot-blooded
attitude, Seira, a woman with goat horns and who’s much calmer and Kiisu, a
seeming priest of death. Some complain they aren’t getting to kill like Jackal
and Tempesta, while others are patiently waiting for their turn to start.
Kyouka reminds them that they’re doing all this for Zeref.
At a restaurant, Yajima, previously of the Council, and
Freed’s group finds out about the Council building being bombed. Turns out the
Raijins have taken a new job since all the harder jobs at the guild intimidated
them.
Someone enters the building, destroying it with a huge
tornado. Freed and Bixlow try to attack him, but he blows them away, quite
literally. He easily defeats Evergreen and Yajima as well, preparing to kill
Yajima as the others realize from his words that he’s from Tartaros.
The demon, who I presume is Tempesta, nearly kills Yajima.
But Laxus steps in to stop the attack at the last second as the chapter ends.
